Alright let me give an opinion from my perspective. I'll preface it by saying that 1) This is a 100% honest opinion, thus I'm not holding anything back and not sugar coating the issue. 2)I don't know what I'll be writing, but if I target someone specifically, its not because I dislike you, but an issue I think needs addressing.
 
 
TL;DR: The organization of staff is messed up, doesn't work, and needs to change.
 
Back when Community Leaders was first implemented there were a lot of assumptions that were made. The first of which is that the CL's would essentially have a final say in most matter, except those that Silence would become involved in. This would be done by a 3/5ths vote, where at least 3 "Yes" votes would need to be obtained before any action taken. This worked well, and CL's had good communication.
 
Obviously as of recent, actually the last... year, the communication has dropped completely. The CL's are supposed to ALL SEE the promo demo list before it is posted. I have no seen one it a long time. Yes, I have asked numerous times why I am no longer included in this list, but have not received one response from the other CL's. Apparently Dr. Lee is the only one that sees it as far as I know.
 
If there is an issue in the clan guess who should deal with it - All the CL's. Guess who does deal with it - one or two CLs without any attempt to contact the other ones. Hmm doesn't sound like a very good group anymore huh?
 
Also, I've sure many people have noticed only a few CLs actually put opinions on important issues on the forums (Diabeetus and I). Yes, Dr. Lee does chime in, but it seems that it can take forever to get responses from the rest of the CLs. I'm not saying im perfect on replying, but I do make an effort to respond in a timely fashion and think I do this for the most part.

Example: On Jul 17th Diabeetus posted a thread in admin discussion to follow up on Vector's change in ban. I responded same day, saying that there was a problem with the chain of command and I wasn't going to post my opinion until we figured out who is allowed to change bans, who is in charge, etc. Silence responded, and that was it until i followed up on the 23rd to see what was going to happen regarding the ban. Asked TF2 why they permed him. diabeetus responded, saying he was waiting for the other CLs opinions (fine with me). Dr. Lee finally responds on the 23rd. That was the extend of the thread. Nobody solved anything. I eventually talked a little more to vector to figure out more, and we wrapped up his side of the issue. Do the other CLs personally message people to solve issues? I highly doubt it. I rarely see anyone other than me or diabeetus actually do any work related to the CL position.
 
Next issue.... what the hell was the reasoning behind removing leadership roles? Silence should be leader, nom developer (although what power you should have is a topic of debate, nothing against you hun just clarification needed), and MAYBE a CL position with people that have time to dedicate to the clan (Or 2 co leaders imo).
 
 
Issue #72. COMMUNITY LEADERS NEED POWER FFS. Powers I don't have that make it hard to do a proper job:
 
1) Teamspeak powers. I got locked out of my channel and couldn't do jack about it, what kind of sense does this make for a COMMUNITY LEADER not to have power in TS and solve issues immediately for people?
2) The ability to use our forum powers and the ability to use our ball of mush inside our head to settle issues? It complete bs that we need to get the approval of john, bob, smitty, bojangles, tim, maryann and martha, my mom, his dad, and Obama's permission to do anything. DO YOU KNOW HOW EASY MY JOB WOULD BE IF PEOPLE WOULD TRUST ME TO MAKE A DECISION ON MY OWN.

I know we don't have the best activity in our active divisions. I mean division, TF2. But I would like to say at least i've made attempts to join and mingle. When dodgeball first opened i was on for a few times at least, and recently I popped on JB several times. I know it aint steller, but at least know im trying.

There is so much Biasness in the leadership right now it isn't even funny. Whether or not people think I am I don't care, but just know that I dont give a fudge if your a friend of mine or not. I try my best to judge everyone with the same baseline.

I feel that those positions don't really solve the issues, but just compound them. Unfortunately I think it's way too complicated to have all those positions, it's confusing.

If they don't care about it and hold a position (dl's for CSS) then they should be demoted for it since they are just holding higher powers for no reason. If most of the higher ups which includes a majority of CLs don't care then get rid of the servers and invest more time into ones that are or might be great.

Also advice to everyone: The only thing ever stopping you from getting a leadership role is yourself. It may be lack of activity, attitude, or one of many other things. But nobody else is truly stopping you. It doesn't come down to if hidingmaster, silence, kbraszzz, or anyone dislikes you. It comes from your actions, your words, your choices. Don't blame others for the situations you get into or don't get into. This not only applies to places like xG, but everywhere in life.

I have nothing against Bach, or Vector who posted the same way, but seriously guys? I can't even get through the original post without realizing the thread is full of bs. It makes sense, but I think you are attacking a problem that is much bigger and actually requires action in the opposite direction. I completely agree with chronic, we need to simplify ranks again.

IMO it worked fine in the beginning, but for some reason CL's, myself included, have been left out of many conversations. This was the root of the problem. In addition, I understand why we "removed" leader, but in reality you should have retained that title and power. We're essentially trying to run a government with no leader, and that never works.

Did you really think i sent a picture of my balls? Are you really this naive? Do you really think nobody would just go to google and type in a couple words and boom their search comes up? You can't be serious.
 

 
Half the people who +1 aren't even from CSS you dunce. You can't accept that people don't agree with your opinion so you find something and automatically assume bias? What about the bias shown on the people who -1? I've still play with people from old CSS in games like GTA and hang out in their teamspeak room. and even then they still don't agree with you. I'm reading your comment over again and i honestly can't believe someone believes this.

also most people here have some form favoritism to some degree so i can see why you plus one this protest.

Here's how I see it.
 
Vector's ban (as agreed to by Silence when there was still a "leader" rank) was reduced to a 6-month server ban, of which about ~2.5-3 months of which has gone by. If anyone thinks that this isn't the case, here is a screenshot proving my point. Unless Silence went back on his decision without notifying us while he was still leader or a secret discussion (of which every other CL is totally unaware of) was had after he became a Community Leader (along with Nomulous), this 6-month server ban still stands. If this was a permanent ban, I would absolutely +1 this and support either an immediate unban or an unban within the near future (the next 1-2 months or so). However, since his server ban is temporary (I believe it's set to expire in November) I feel that Vector should serve out the remainder of his ban. Even though this thread is only a few hours old, we've already begun to butt heads between absolute solutions for this situation. Despite this, I do think that we can come to a compromise. I would definitely be in favor of reducing Vector's server ban to one month. He still has to ride out a little bit more of a punishment, but ultimately Vector will get to play on the servers he says he's still dedicated to improving. I agree with those who have recognized Vector's improvement over the past few months. From what I've seen, he reminds me much more of the Vector I knew and worked with during my time as a mod/admin in CS:S, opposed to the overly argumentative and combative behavior he showed around the time of his ban. I feel that this improvement is enough to warrant a reduction in his ban. The only real way to prove if Vector has definitively improved is to see how he behaves over a longer period of time on our servers. Keep in mind that just because he's unbanned doesn't mean that he's immune to further punishment. If sufficient evidence is brought forth proving to the community that he is still an overwhelmingly negative force on our community and servers, a new ban (which almost certainly) will be a perm will be enacted. If Vector really is as toxic as some people say he is, this evidence shouldn't be too difficult to collect. However, keep in mind that this evidence has to have some substance to it. I don't want just a list of complaints from people butthurt that he rustled their jimmies after telling them about rules they broke, unless he was unnecessarily cruel when doing so.
 
All in all, I think that Vector's ban should be reduced to a month, due to recent improvement in his behavior on Teamspeak and the forums. However, if the community (not just one DL) comes to a different conclusion, I'd be fine with it.

Sorry guys. I consulted with Nom on the matter and we spoke with Rhodo. The CLs went back on their decision and I have yet to see an improvement on behavior on the forums from him, so he won't be unbanned. I don't care if he knows the rules or if he even helped to make some of them. That doesn't exempt him from them or allow for behavior like this.
 
You can say I have a grudge, or that I'm "butthurt" or whatever you want. I honestly don't care and wasn't thinking about this until Nom talked about shaping up the Tf2 division and making it more appetizing and less stressful for new and current people. One of the main reasons people told me they avoided the servers like the plague were because of specific people that were playing on them. Trust me, Vector isn't the only one and some more may be leaving as well, that is if they try to cause more problems than they already have.
 
Suggestion: Maybe he should consider not tearing everyone a new one whenever they disagree with him or get a rule wrong. Not everyone is intentionally trying to cause problems and when you go overboard and humiliate them in front of everyone (instead of being adaptive to each situation), it kind of leaves a mark on them and dissuades them from joining the servers again (i.e. I've noticed this with every young kid ever on our servers).
 
Maybe talk to me in a few months if you have improved your behavior. Try to actually act civil like the adult you are, and it might actually happen!

Also no, a mona pizza will not get you out of this. The highest authority has set the ban. Maybe this time we can actually fix the root of the problem, rather than cover it up or make it into a joke.
 
Edit: And yes, I will actually consider unbanning you if you do change your attitude around. Not saying you have to like everyone, but don't be flat out horrible to everyone.
