In my opinion, making a serious subsection anonymous would just encourage people to troll even more. Let's just temporarily create a public debate subforum for 1-2 weeks, and see how it goes. If people are being trolls to the point of ruining the subforum then we just close it down. To be honest I don't really see why people are so afraid to post more serious topics in General, if people troll or argue excessively then forum ban them for said trolling/instigating.

Hardly. !smite actually has a practical use for maintaining the server, it's just an alternative to !slay. !cash on the other hand, has really no practical use for managing our servers. I can't really think of many situations where you would need to set/reset someone's in-game cash, just like I can't really think of a situation where a staff member would need to trigger a timebomb on someone.
 

The whole "it only disrupts 1 to 2 rounds" excuse is terrible, as other forms of abuse (ex: !slay @all, cats hitting !smite @all binds) only disrupt 1 round of Jailbreak as well. By that logic we might as well stop banning mass freekillers, as they only disrupted 1 round of Jailbreak too.
 

He has abused in the past, a lot of people in this thread seem to be forgetting that. Hellafun13 - Counter-Strike: Source While I don't think that this warrants a full demotion to member/nonmember, there definately should be some form of punishment for this.

Matsi's use of slap while it may not be valid through the guidelines, does happen to work well in the situations he's used them in, now when was the last time we changed the guidelines, never? as they should be updated according to the new commands,(fun commands, !cash) as Matsi's way is more effective at teaching them what not to do, gettign them to listen without completely altering the flow of the game

There is plenty justification to slap someone... I'll give you an example of where I would use it:
 
Guy is standing somewhere he shouldnt...
I type that he needs to move because he cant be there but he isn't paying attention to chat
I don't want to interrupt the warden's orders/gameflow
I slap the guy and repeat in chat that he should move. This normally works and they then move.
 
The alternative is to slay the guy for standing somewhere he shouldn't... likely due to him being new, and a lot of people if they join the server and instantly get slayed could very well leave and never return.... this is something I feel would be unacceptable. I prefer to warn players so that they learn they are doing something wrong while still having a good time on the xG servers, making them want to continue playing here.

Hella if he told you it was ok then most if not all of the blame should be on him for that.

I have seen Hella use the cash command on more than one occasion. I don't believe any major form of punishment is necessary but we really don't need that command. Also, @@Matsi, you need to stop being so inflammatory. Every time I see you in a thread like this, you tend to cause problems. (Undoubtedly due to your arrogant/whiny nature.)

I'm not going to continue arguing with you about this... I was simply commenting about the use of the "fun cmds" and how they CAN be used effectively and explaining it further when asked a question.

The guidelines solicit an order in which to do things, the order is one given down by Co-Leaders and Div Leaders alike. The order for dealing with a camper is a generally accepted way that has been given clearance since long before you came to xG, and even before I did. It is the expected way to handle it, and still is, the guidelines state that giving punishment above or below is abuse in itself. Thus by not following the approved method to deal with a camper, and instead using your own method, you are abusing, I'm not saying they should be removed, or stay. I am neutral on that, you described situations in which you used them, and decided you wanted to be a complete prick to others in the thread with your idea of how you think it should be, thinking your way is right and theirs is wrong. So I took it upon myself to "put you in your place" by explaining in detail how YOU are indeed wrong.

Also.... to say that by doing a vote you are allowed to do this cmd is extremely ignorant... as ~2/3 of the server is T... and why would any T vote no.... not to mention accounting for 1 spam....

I have to agree with Gkoo on this one. There is a fine line between being a Moderator and being an Administrator, it's not meant to be some fashionable title/rank. A Moderator is merely a "trainee" that is learning the ropes before being promoted to a position that requires further knowledge on certain things. An Administrator is practically the "best of the best" in terms of Staff (Not including Higher-Up status). They are to be well conditioned, have a thorough/extensive knowledge of the MoTD Rules, and are expected to handle situations in a proper manner that follows our rules/regulations. To sum it up, Administrators are supposed to be "near perfection" but not quite.
 
You wouldn't give the "new guy" access to top-secret or high-priority tasks would you? This is in no way something to make Moderators feel lowly. This is to protect both XenoGamers' integrity as well as it's ability to keep Staff under watch. Remember that we do have an option for Paid Moderators. Some people just want to see the world burn, and can pay a low price just to do so. Imagine someone getting powers for the sole purpose of trashing xG by permanently server banning players when no one's looking. It's a matter of security more than it is a matter of disassociation that we have two separate ranks; those being Moderators and Administrators.
