Resolved. Won't lead to a demotion cause its a small bit of abuse. Hellafun don't use this command if you don't need to. Use !guard if you want to join CT and SwapTeam for either moving to spec[same as !spec] or changing dumb CTs to T.

Regardless of what anyone is saying, abuse is abuse, it doesn't matter how small or big. A team swap with the intention of keeping order sounds fair, but this is one of those times where it was a bad call. What I mean, is that a different approach should have been taken.
 
This is in the same ballpark as with what happened to Warrior. A bad decision was made by the Staff Member (although one was more severe then the other) and a different course of action should have been taken (telling CTs to actively call warden or risk being swapped). Clearly, a teamswap isn't what you might call punishable by demotion, but this Is considered abuse of power. I'm sure Hella is aware that his actions were wrong, and hopefully he won't be doing it again.
 
To those who are saying this thread was needless, you are being ignorant. Why else would we have Report Abuse threads, if not to warn our Staff Members that what they did was wrong. Had Chuck Norris not done this, I sincerely doubt anyone would have told Hella he did something wrong (during the time it happened), and he would most likely end up doing it again.
 
I'm not for a demotion, nor am I for any sort of punishment for something as trivial as a team swap. But I do want Hella (and any other Staff Member) to know that swapping yourself to CT at any point to "maintain order" is wrong. As Gawd said, the only time you should ever teamswap anyone is from CT to T for not actively calling Warden. Swapping anyone from T to CT should not happen under any circumstances (unless I'm mistaken, I can't think of a scenario where it is needed).
 
TL;DR - Hella is in the wrong (does not warrant a demotion), you should not swap yourself nor anyone else to CT at any point. Report Abuse threads, no matter how small the crime, are always useful in letting the Staff Member know that what they did was wrong.

Using swapteam one time isn't that big of a deal. I don't see why you have to make an entire abuse thread over one little time. Along with that, you have NO proof of him spamming. Only a screenshot of him on T, then swapping himself using sm_swapteam. Again, this happened one time.

Hello, I began playing Jailbreak probably over five years ago and enjoyed most of my time on your community's jailbreak server. A few months ago I made my own Jailbreak map and ended up using it for nothing at all, it's unreleased and is not on any other servers.
 
It is designed in the typical ba_electric jail format, just vastly improved in every way, shape, and form; in terms of functionality, gameplay, and aesthetics.
 
These are the main areas I've taken screenshots of, there's a few secrets (none that adversely affect the overall well-being of the gameplay, or are illogical in nature) as well as some other areas like Pool, Shot 4 Shot, Deagle Toss, Blade Jump, Vents, etc.

Thanks for viewing, I put a lot of work into this map and thought someone might be interested. With that being said, I've been mapping for over five years, basically everyday and have over 21,000 accumulative hours in Source SDK (Hammer). I can make any changes and or additions necessary to this map if requested or desire, quickly, efficiently, and easily. The map is optimized entirely and has absolutely no lag or low framerates.
 
In addition, I can of course create any other types of maps with great efficiency

i have no idea why you just exploded in keyboard rage all over this thread, it was completely unnecessary and made you look like an idiot. the reason you gave us is bullshit from our point of view, we've heard that excuse before, and regardless of whether or not it was true, we can't accept it as a valid excuse cause then everyone would think they could use the same excuse and get away from a mass freekill.
 
you demonstrated poor leadership by taking a personal problem between you and xg and brought in your clan as well by threatening to perm them if they played on xg servers. what they do with their steam account is their choice alone, u have no right whatsoever to even think that you can tell them to play on this server or not play on this server. how you handled this was almost the worst way possible to handle it, you are punishing your own members for a mistake that was yours and yours alone, in fact you may have fucked over your clan because of this cause i could just decide to perm all XEC members from our servers with the only way of being unbanned is to leave your clan. however, unlike you, im not a complete raging, idiot 12 year old, i THINK first and not complain like a little bitch.
 
if you had played on xg servers before and browsed our forums, ud know that the brother or friend excuse does not and will not pass off as a valid reason, but u probably didnt and are saying that as a way to curry favor among others to make urself look like ur a long time player or something.
 
on a related note, it was a 1 week ban and you're seriously butthurt this badly? if anything i should just server ban you perm so we never have to deal with the likes of you again, i know plenty of my members would enjoy seeing that come to fruition.

First off, as stated earlier, you are liable for whoever is on your account. Why on earth would you let your friend (who obviously had no prior knowledge of Jailbreak let alone any experience) play on your account on Our server, without even directing him/her to our rules.
 
Letting your friend play on your account on a game mode they have NEVER played (where one of the basic and most popular game modes for the game itself is Team Deathmatch) is just a recipe for disaster.
 
Second, where is this disrespect you are preaching about? Every member here was merely stating that your reason was naive and over-used. No one called you names, no one insulted you or disrespected you, no one said you were stupid for using that reason. If anything, you just started your very own shit-storm by deeming us all disrespectful players. Before you even Mentioned perm'ing members from your server (or ours, I honestly don't know what you were referring to) there was no disrespect, but you just opened it up.
 
Third and most importantly, What Disrespect Toward Your Clan? You think that just because you're in another clan you get a special reason to be unbanned? You think that just because you don't get your way, you can just throw a tantrum and threaten us with permanent bans? Words cannot begin to describe how ridiculous your argument sounds. Just because we won't unban you, and just because your reason isn't a Valid Reason to get unbanned, you're willing to start a thing between your clan and ours? If that's the case, I tip my hat to you and say that you must be a great Leader, starting conflicts because you decided to take offence to something as trivial and tiny as this on another clan's server.
 
If you're going to be a Leader, take responsibility into your own hands and don't over exacerbate the situation by calling us out and Assuming that there's this personal vendetta from our clan against yours. I wasn't going to say any of this, but the moment I read;

Alright, this is along the same issue with the HG map in jailbreak. First, if it's uploaded anyone can use it, VALVe's ToS states that any map online is fair-game for use. It's only a copyright violation if I were to decompile it and release an edited version (which I have not done).
 
Secondly, he compared me to PBFortress owner 'Playboy', claiming I did the exact same thing he did. However, if you were to read over this conversation, you would realize that that his statement is false. 'Playboy' was going to pay someone $300-$800 dollars to edit the map, which is against VALVe's ToS (since he didn't have permission from the author) and illegal since he doesn't own the textures/models ripped from SM64. I have not asked anyone to edit the map, nor have edited it myself. I simply filtered out the map protection so I could use it on our server. This is not violating VALVe's ToS so I see no wrong. Also with mabevillage, I simply renamed it to trade_mabevillage and threw it on the server. It loaded but there were graphical issues. I did not convert it nor decompile it so accusing me of doing so is an extremely rash decision.
 
Now, the fact that he is acting extremely immature about the whole situation, blocking any xG members, and posting my IPs on that post he made shows his maturity and how underdeveloped the person we are dealing with is. If you were to look through his posts, he has had issues with many other people in the past. He trashes other map creators on his blog, and complains that nobody plays his maps. I'm not saying his maps are bad (they are amazing) but he was using GameServers as his GSP and complained about them on his blog, citing constant downtime and whatnot. Because of the lack of donations and server downtime, he recently cancelled the server and announced he was done with the Source engine and would not be releasing any content. I contacted him about it and asked if he would be willing to upload the maps, which he refused. I then expressed my condolences and offered him a server to continue his work on, with zero strings attached and no references to xG (I tend to support dev's with servers ranging from time periods of 3-6 months, I like to support the Source community. I've supported maybe 10 projects since the creation of xG) but he humbly declined. I did infact lie that I wouldn't use the maps (I'm Jewish, sue me) and that is the only accusation that is true. The rest are 100% false.
 
Some of statements are a bit shocking and tell me the type of person I ticked off. He claims that people take advantage of him, even though he is posting something that is deemed for public use if someone get's the map, and insists that the content he posted for a community (TF2) that is largely based around the Steam Workshop for thousands of custom work is not for other people's use. That's fine, however as soon as he uploaded his files to a public place, according to VALVe's ToS, it is deemed public and no restrictions for standard usage can be placed on it. He claims that you need his permission for standard usage, but that is stated otherwise in VALVe's ToS. The fact that he stated this:

tells me he simply will not accept this fact and anyone who uses his content is taking advantage of him, which is downright false. Most people would fine comfort in a large amount of people using their creations, and the more people who use it, the more feedback the author will get and recognition. However, with him, it is the exact opposite and he doesn't want his work spread around, nor recognition from the TF2 community, which is completely fine! But inhibiting me for using the content that you uploaded to the internet is crazy, especially since my usage of it is completely legal.
 
Finally, although what I did might be frowned upon, I have done nothing illegal or violated VALVe's ToS. The main reason for going out of my to add the map was that I want the best experience for our players, and will achieve it without breaking the law. I have not done that, so I see zero reason to remove the map, other then from the author's moral standpoint and not my own. The only thing I have done was lie, and I apologize for it.

Shorten his ban and demote DrPepper.
I've never seen him cause any harm so I could see him understanding what he did and never doing it again.

I'm going to list a few things I've noticed have come up as problems recently. There is more than one section in this post.
 
(ALL) Chat Abuse
So recently, I've been getting multiple complaints about some of our Mods and Admins abusing certain powers.
The most thing I've been getting complaints about is the abuse of (ALL) chat. A large part of the abuse seems to be coming from our moderators.
 
Here is what was suggested be done as a precaution to the abusing (ALL) chat:
Restrict (ALL) chat to Administrators and up
Pros:
Would prevent our Mods from abusing
Cons:
Mods wouldn't be able to use text to be able to communicate with rule breakers or others
Mods wouldn't be able to call Freedays using chat.
 
Taking away (ALL) chat isn't something I want to see happen. Private Chat or Muting/Unmuting yourselves would be the only way to communicate with alive people.
 
What do I recommend for this?
Well, I propose that we punish the mods/admins who abuse (ALL) chat excessively. Once or twice isn't that big of a deal, but having a 5-line conversation in (ALL) chat isn't acceptable.
 
Punishment?
If you are caught excessively abusing (ALL) chat, here are the steps I recommend should be done as punishment.

Ban the Mod/Admin for 1-hour.
Ban the Mod/Admin for 1-day
Demote to the next rank down

Mod/Admin Disrespect
Another thing I've noticed is the fact that a lot of our mods/admins have been disrespecting players, and then acting upon anything negative in return.
Here's how I see it, if you're going to disrespect other members and users, DON'T expect to get treated nicely in return. Don't try and punish someone for you being a dick.

Teamspeak 3 Activity
So we had a discussion about this subject. It is now REQUIRED that you be on Teamspeak when our servers if you're a mod/admin or higher.
I know a lot of you have argued that we can reach you in game, or on Steam chat, but if we have to get in contact with you quickly, Steam and in-game chat isn't good enough.
The rule for Teamspeak is be connected to it. Being in the AFK room or in the Waiting Room counts. As long as you're connected to the server.
 
Punishment?
Here is the punishment that already has been decided upon being handed out if you're not on Teamspeak when on the servers.

Give a warning to get on
Ban for 1-hour as a warning.
Ban for 1-day.
Demotion to the next rank down

Basically, be on Teamspeak, or else you're being banned and demoted.
