Because a lot of people just want powers to have powers. In other words, a portion of our Staff believes that having Moderator/Administrator just means they play whenever they want to have fun and can help out on the Server they enjoy. If I were to ask a Staff Member why they don't go on a particular Server, I can bet they will reply with "because it's boring" or something along the lines of that. What I'm getting at is that a lot of people seem to forget that being a Moderator+ means they are given responsibilities and duties to moderate and maintain order on all of the Servers of that particular Division, not just on the ones they have fun on. It doesn't matter if you (in general @staff) don't have fun doing it, you accepted the position and should be aware of what it entails. In regards to solving this 'problem', (mentioned in another thread similar to this one) the best way to remedy this is to find responsible players on the other Servers to accept a moderating position. That means Division Manager(s) need to be on the other Servers to gather up possible candidates :coffee:

No, this isn't musical chairs. Shame on you for thinking so. This is yet another simple game from yours truly, and yes you will earn credits for participating. The game is simple: 1. You will post a Music Video (Use dat Media embedding feature) or a song in general. I will be starting this 'train' off. - Does not have to be a 'Music Video' (fancy choreography, animations, etc) - Music Video(s) must consist of renowned song artists or groups - Music Video(s) must not give away the meaning of the song (IE. Nigguh, did I say I was changing the rules? I said I should have mentioned. Already sent @Chrono 300 creds, @Hidingmaster has to go bug Nomulous for the rest.

Reduces the amount of Ban Protests involving permanent bans for frivolous things such as disrespect, spamming, etc. Since a mass freekill is a serious offence (and is most often intentional) it warrants a stern punishment. Ban evasion does warrant further punishment though (IE. ban was for one day pre-evasion, is now for two days) but because its difficult to determine whether or not it was intentional most just leave it at the ban time prior to the evasion. @Vector Nigguh you know not to skip steps when dealing with these sort of things, regardless of whether or not it would have worked. The fact that there is tension between you and the offending player shows that you acted out on that anger or frustration. Staff should remain level-headed and should treat all players the same way when dealing with punishments, even if you don't like that particular person.

I guess I should have mentioned that all of the ratings had to be visible at the same time on the post when tallied up. Loop-holing fegget.

Alright so the permanent ban was dealt due to "evasion of a ban". As far as permanent bans are concerned, the only time a day/week/etc Server ban can be immediately changed to a permanent Server ban is when a player Mass Freekills (or other possible serious offences) and leaves before the ban is dealt. With that said, I'm going to +1 for a reduced ban time. Define 'we', I'd like to hear what the other Staff (if that's who you are referring to) has to say on the matter. However, I have to agree with what Matsi brought up. Was the proper procedure followed when dealing with this matter (warning>gag>kick or warning>mute>kick)? From what you've said, you only muted/gagged him, but never kicked him (if he continued with his behaviour).

@Vector "Abusive" was the reasoning for the ban. I myself am wondering what in god's name could have happened in which a player with no powers or anything was 'abusive'. If you were supposed to be banned for a day, he may have switched it to a permanent ban if you left before he could deal the ban (evading a ban), but that can't be certain until his input is given.

Or they'll just get a plethora of +1s that will most likely be invalid but will still get accepted ;)

This is the ratings game. The rules are simple. First post to receive 1 of every rating gets 300 Credits. I don't care what you post.
