I was really sure that all of his bans were for the same thing, since I know I have warned him way too many times about this exploit. Most of the time he would do it up to a kick, then stop or leave. My mistake, I'll lower the ban to a week.

Edit: After talking with higher ups for a bit, we have realized this kind of system is incredibly abusable, as one person could just go down the line breaking rules and never really receive too harsh of a punishment. After looking over how other staff have done their bans for the longest time, I have realized that they have all really done the same thing, so there is really no reason why we should give this user special treatment. The user chose to ride down the punishment line to a permanent ban, and that is how it will stay until we discuss it further. I will open the thread back up for more feedback, but I do truly believe the user should stay permanently banned.

I had warned you so many times to stop doing what you were doing. To fill others in, when you do the "Meet the Medic" taunt in shallow water it makes an incredibly loud and annoying noise, a game bug that has been in tf2 for way too long. Every single time you were banned you were warned, kicked, and banned. You refused to stop doing the exploit no matter how many times we told you to stop.

Well the idea of changing how submissions work was to allow more people to get member obviously. We wanted xG to stop feeling like some kind of exclusive club or something along those lines. Usually when people don't get member, they don't even try to re-apply. They just move on to some other clan, one that is much easier to get into. By reducing the time it takes to get in, and also reducing the requirements, we are then hopefully able to keep peoples attention on xG instead of wherever else it is. If you feel someone is not fit for member, you can always make a member protest, that's why the section is there. Even though I am confused about the new requirements myself, hopefully things will become more fleshed out in the coming weeks.

With the amount of evidence there is, there is just no way to really know if he was silent aiming or not. The 11 second clip doesn't show enough to really know if he really was. Just because someone who was previously banned is in his comments doesn't mean he was using silent aim as well. As for the friends thing, the amount of friends you have on steam has nothing to do whether or not you're hacking, I personally cannot stand having any number over 60 and I have almost 8k hours on TF2. +1 for an unban, if he really was doing it, then we can just ban him again.

Vexx got a reaction from realBelloWaldi in Allow Staff Members To Use "server Admin" And "server Mod" Titles Instead Of Tags
The DL's can remove anyone's title from their Hub inventory, so the demotion thing should not be much of a problem. As for the idea that it's for hiding yourself, most staff members should know when to hide themselves anyway in certain situations. The idea I'm going for is just more freedom with your name without the tags needing to be involved. The problem is, a lot of people get confused as to what the tags mean, I get asked almost every day what the tags stand for, and I believe this could clear up any confusion by simply having "server mod" and "server admin" next to their name instead of a tag that they might not know.

Vexx got a reaction from realBelloWaldi in Allow Staff Members To Use "server Admin" And "server Mod" Titles Instead Of Tags
With the recent addition of staff-specific titles on the TF2 servers, we should probably discuss whether we should allow staff to use the titles in place of tags. Staff members are beginning to wonder if they can use the titles instead of tags so it's something we should talk about. I do know it was something that was disagreed upon in the past, but minds do change over time.

I am going to have to side with Tuna on that though, they were kind of harassing him.
Yes there is a better way to handle jokes and we should talk to Tuna about handling those sort of situations without letting it get to that point, but overall I don't think we need to demote him for that.
