Well, since I got demoted, I would like to join back! I've ventured on other servers (CvG, and another server group, don't remember the name) and figured XenoGamers really fit me the best. So, I came back.

I think based on previous times we have even had anything resembling normal servers, that this too would not get off the ground in terms of population. As it stands people are not interested in finding a new hightower server if they already have one, and our regulars visit only their main servers most of the times they are on xG servers (hence why you son't see outstanding amounts of members on zf or dr).

over the past weeks I've been noticing that a lot of people love banning themselves for like 1 minute or so.
I'm offically asking you to refrain from doing so. It makes us, as a whole, look really unprofessional.
Imagine a possible sponsor looking at bans.xenogamers.com and seeing that person X has banned themself for the reason "memes XDDD" for one minute. You feel me?

I'm guessing you mean if you attack someone or someone attacks you you'd want a llittle pop-up saying : "Hey dum-dum you're still in almighty invincible mode and shouldnt kill people because that is mean"?

well i tried implementing a little code in the godmode.sp but i failed terribly, luckily im not the only DL and i bet @Rejects would love to look into it

I'll admit that it sounds quite useful, I'll look into it tomorrow.

Let's put this into context : I have to go somewhere during 5 minutes, right? So I godmode because the spawn throws you out of it, (I mostly play on the surf server) and I don't especially like being loopkilled. When I come back, I forget that I have godmode on until a pyro tries to set me on fire.
 
I ain't the only victim of this though, and if you have the godmode command, it probably happened to you more than once. Don't lie.
 
Anyways my idea was that when you have godmode toggled, there's text at the bottom that says something like "Hey, you're still in godmode!". I dunno it's just an idea.

So, i remember when xG Surf had Mesa on it's map list for a short while, but it was taken off because it ran into issues due to the fact it was one main spawn for both teams. Well, I was thinking about possibilities to fix the spawnkilling issue so that everybody could enjoy the lovely map that is surf_mesa. The possibilities i have in mind are:
 
-Implement a plugin that forces everybody into friendly mode for that certain map (if that's possible)
-Make it so that the invincibility of each player lasts until they leave the spawn area (once again, only if it's possible)
-Force everyone on the same team for the map
 
So the three ideas above are what could be done if it's possible, and wouldn't have that many implications (I'm assuming?). One idea that is realistic but might be looked down upon is that the rule of "No Spawnkilling" could have an exception for maps of this nature, and people could simply do !friendly if they don't want to die.
 
I know there are a quite a bit of people who would like Mesa back, but this is still just a suggestion. Thanks for reading.
 
NOTE: I am suggesting to reimplement mesa, not just change the rule for other maps like it, if that was not already crystal clear.

I really do dislike how people abuse it then get benefits. I've also witnessed people who do the map with sticky/rocket jumpers, then kill people at the end and acting like they're the best. This would be a fantastic rule to add, or if we could just simply REMOVE the use of the base jumper. Keep in mind, some people just like to market garden with the rocket jumper. +1

Is there a way to make it so that you can't shooting a rocket at your feet or stickies doesn't knock you back in the surf area but it can in the arena?

One of the biggest reasons I made this thread is because, since there is nothing in the rules that even dabbles into the idea that this is not to be done, Moderators and Admins can't exactly do anything about the situation.

Would be a good idea ; Not sure how to apply it.
 
If we simply put it as a rule (like for example, no spawnkilling), there would need to be an admin/mod online on the server 24/7. I don't think it would be possible to do it that way, without applying a permanent ban on these weapons. On the other hand, on arena maps, people love to rocket jump and sticky jump to do deaths from above.
 
Plus, to reach the end of the maps, surfing is waaayyy faster than sticky-jumping/rocket jumping. So personally, I feel like it would be a bit useless.

He is a really cool person he might not be on to much but still petty neet
