Some hats have robotic versions that look better imo
It's all a matter of opinion technically, but overall, yeah, robotic hats are by and large considered inferior to the original hats they're based on. Pretty sure the Bunsen Brave is the only hat considered "better" by a majority of the community.
(I also really like the galvanized gibus, but probably shouldn't count that, as the only reason I like it is because it looks like a trashier gibus)
