    What's New This Month?

    • Banners for monthly news posts specifically will now be games that xG recommends. The game this month is Witch It, a prop hunt stand alone game that is very promising! We've been having a ton of fun on it on teamspeak, and I'd definitely recommend others to buy it and support the devs! No, this is not sponsored.

    • Teamspeak! We understand many people want to only use discord, we've had about 3-4 threads asking for it, but as of now we prefer to have control, security and the added features that comes with teamspeak so we will stay with it for the time being. We would also like to ask the staff to try to use teamspeak more often and we will give you mod or admin over your division's teamspeak channels. We will not be forcing anyone because we don't think it's necessary right now, but if you are staff, please do not sway others from using our teamspeak just because you use discord. Last thing, all community events will require people to be on teamspeak, so just keep that in mind! ALSO You now get credits every 5 minutes you are in teamspeak, as long as you aren't in the AFK channel or muted.
       
    • Raffles will now be a different format. It will always be set up so Members get 1 entry, Donators 5, and Sponsors 20. On top of that, you do not need to log in every single day for your entry to the raffle, from now on you can do your maximum amount of entries in one day so you don't have to worry about it until it's drawn! You can thank @virr for the changes on entries per day as he found it might have been annoying for sponsors.
       
    • Badges have been updated again, we are adding higher quality badges for users instead of static images. Badges For any discussion related to badges, you can direct yourself here: Badges Megathread!
       
    • Ratings have changed, and we want your feedback! For new Emojis/ratings: Creating New Emoji's/ratings For discussion on the rating system, and to give feedback on what you prefer: Rating System Feedback Thread [poll]
       
    • Overwatch community nights are finally returning after a bit too long of a hiatus. Check out this thread if you're interested!
       
    • TF2 Donators! The TF2 donator powers will be changing around a bit to freshen up the perks and rework some of the powers. New perks will be added and old, less exciting perks will be removed. Higher ups are in mutual agreement that donating should not give you anything affecting gameplay, so medic-shield and no-fall will most likely be getting replaced. Don't worry, we have some cool stuff planned ;) More information really soon™
       
    • Steam donation bot is currently undergoing a repair job as it's been broken for a while. ETA at the end of this month!
    • Sponsors are also being updated so hold off on any sponsor donations if you're interested. I will try to sum it up for now but it will be more in detail once it comes out. Monthly subscription base, much cheaper (3-5 dollars a month). Different tiers. Anyone who is lifetime sponsor will reap all future rewards from the new sponsorship, and not have to worry about losing anything from previous sponsor rewards once we decide to remove stuff. Anyone who is a sponsor but not lifetime will get as many months rewarded to them without having a pay anything equivalent to how much they paid. $60 sponsor = 12 months of sponsorship if the sponsorship tier they want is $5/month

    What's Coming Up Soon?

    • More Raffles! Raffles will be out in a few days, and will be out throughout the entirety of the summer once it starts!
    • Youtube! A video will be coming out soon, it will be a rage compilation of xG members playing different games together. If you think you have a good video to contribute, send me a private message!
    • CS:GO minigames has been getting slowly updated with @MineCrack and myself constantly checking out different maps and helping find broken ones to remove off our server, stay tuned as we will try to have a ton of events on CS:GO and hopefully revive our baby!
    • Minecraft! Our new higher ups have started working on Minecraft, more information once they're ready. Found a bug? Report it here!

    @Aegean do you mind if I use some of the Rage Clips in the Community Trailer?

     

    Also: On the lines of the donator perks, does that mean no-clip as well? As far as I know, thats the reason quite a good chunk of uber donators purchased the UD tier. I'm fully for the removal of no-fall, however the medic-shield I do have some negative feelings about that but the change feels right.

Because you will have a lot of angry Uber Donators because thats most likely 80% of what the Uber Donators got that tier for, just saying. I'm fully for the removal of no-fall, however the medic-shield I do have some negative feelings about that but the change feels right.

    NoClip has rules restricting it being used in combat and is rarely used to combat to begin with and will therefore not be removed/changed. Medic shield was rarely used, no-fall is clunky and was broken for a long time as well as both having impact to gameplay which is why they're getting changed. We will be communicating with our donators a lot to make sure everyone is happy with what we are changing. No one should be feeling like they're getting screwed over, especially when there's money involved.

    Lot of good stuff here, looking forward to a lot of it.

    Tf2 donator reworks are much welcomed and seemingly a bit overdue (minecraft donator when?). I can totally get behind the removal of nofall for a variety of reasons, does this mean it will be removed from hub as well as from those who purchased it from such? Also, what are the reasons for removing medic shield? Seems unnecessary to me.

    If nofall is removed from the hub we will issue refunds to those who bought it. The reason we are looking at medic shield specifically is because we want donators to have some extra flair in the form of cosmetic changes instead of gameplay ones which might give an advantage over players who are "f2p". We will be posting more information early next week if things go according to plan.

    Powerplay gives you crits and uber, its basically the same as winning a round in a normal game.

    Most likely no, we don't want perks that have the possibility to affect gameplay.

    Wasnt the rule that you couldnt shoot anyone like /buddha? I thought it was just to look cool. Another question, are you removing the medic shield or (possibly) making it so everyone has the medic shield?
