depending on what it is i might be able to. i dont have a ton of experience with it but i've worked with it a couple times

Well it would be in the nitty gritty of it, although I do need further styling on the website, and some javascript work done for Hub for some games and whatnot.

Can we bring back that when you click on a post with new posts it brings you to the first new post that you have not read yet?

Every time I open threads now I have to scroll down to where I last read to see new stuff, while not the end of the world that was a convenience I enjoyed.

If you click the circle next to the title, it goes to the first unread post.

But cause I know you're lazy I fixed it for you.

CAUSE I LIKE YA A LOT

Hey, I was just looking through the page source out of boredom and I noticed how slow a lot of the pages were to load. I understand a lot of this is due to the server its self but i was wondering if its at all possible to kind of collapse the number of JS files used on page load to reduce the distance traveled/number of relays the server has to do in order to load the page content? I obviously didn't write the site so I'm not sure about all the dependencies or the real structure of it but I was just curious as to if it would help anything. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -Seg Fault

I'm looking into writing a combination script, but due to the site using HTTP/2 and the biggest feature of it being multiplexing, it doesn't really have any significant performance issues (but I'd love to reduce the number of requests per page anyways) so I wouldn't worry about it.

The reason the website is slow is due to the software and I've been posting bug fixes as fast as I can (newest one was due to reactions of all things lol) and not the JS. Another reason could be the new server host, but other applications are running much faster than before and this is the only new one, so it's probably this.

    Regardless, I'm working on it.

  4. I alpha tested it twice and a beta test as well. In terms of content, yeah it's lacking. Between alpha and full release, nothing was really added that wasn't grind-mechanics. However announcements saying they will be pushing out content regardless for years to come have been circulating, so maybe it's something you pickup later.

Okay so, this time around this sort of still applies. Normal threads and Pinned threads seem to mesh into each other in the current layout. Is there any way to create headers? Just wondering.

better than the last one, to be honest. i like the tab on the left side along with information, notifications, inbox, and the profile.

You have no idea how long that took, I made sure to make it native to the software and fast lol, now I just gotta make the rest of the website cute.

I'm having one issue. I tried following a member and the tab just turned white with a little txt saying "file not found" at the top left corner.

The user probably doesn’t allow users to follow them.   I’ve followed numerous people and haven’t ran into any issues.  Try clearing cookies and cache and try again.

(Even though that would be an internal error).

Was a glitch with pagespeed, it's resolved now.

  8. Basically, the intel processors in many computers, (a great majority of them, probably your own as well), have a major design flaw There are reports that it can range from 5%-30% and there is a rumor going around, a specfic generation of intel processors, skylake (6700, 6700k, 6600k etc.) can have loses up to 60%. These flaws are present in processors from over 10 years ago.

"At worst, the hole could be abused by programs and logged-in users to read the contents of the kernel's memory. Suffice to say, this is not great. The kernel's memory space is hidden from user processes and programs because it may contain all sorts of secrets, such as passwords, login keys, files cached from disk, and so on. Imagine a piece of JavaScript running in a browser, or malicious software running on a shared public cloud server, able to sniff sensitive kernel-protected data."

AMD users should NOT be affected by this

"AMD processors are not subject to the types of attacks that the kernel page table isolation feature protects against. The AMD microarchitecture does not allow memory references, including speculative references, that access higher privileged data when running in a lesser privileged mode when that access would result in a page fault."

Source: 'Kernel memory leaking' Intel processor design flaw forces Linux, Windows redesign

I wouldn't freak out, as the embargo on this information does not lift until January 4th. and we probably won't have a grasp on this situation until later in the month.

I just bought an 8700k too. Fucking reeeeeeeeeee.

    Well that's no good.

  9. Can't change cover photo either.

For anyone having trouble with changing their profile avatar or cover, try this.

https://xenogamers.com/account/avatar/ for changing your profile picture/avatar

https://xenogamers.com/covers/profile/[your URL ID] for changing your profile cover

To find your URL ID, go to your profile page (i.e xenogamers.com/members/111111) and copy the 6 numbers at the end of the URL.

For example, my cover page would be https://xenogamers.com/covers/profile/109835/

These work-arounds should work until the problems get fixed.

Fixed both issues and reported the bug!

The chat box scroll may be an operating system specific issue and not a site bug as I have encountered this on other sites with chat boxes or scrolling text boxes.

It's probably the website's fault but still trying to find the issue.

  10. Try clearing your Cache and History.

    ---------------------------------------------------

    Issues I am having :

    • Can't Change Profile Picture

    Additional Issue

-Cannot Edit Guide Contents on Mobile

    Will get those fixed!

  11. Hey guys,

I don't know if anyone else has got this glitch, but sometimes when I'm making a new post or replying the text selector would randomly teleport around the text box and thus makes typing very annoying. Any fix to this?
