Kind of new to WoW... Just got the game today really... @Kittylicious and @Kyokasuigetsu3867 can you explain how it will work... Cause kind of newish to this and sorry if I am a derp for it.

I'm making a guild named Xeno Gamers, It's gonna be on the realm Darkspear, and it's gonna be for horde. Anyone who would like to join is welcome. Any level is welcome, so don't worry if you aren't a level 90. If you guys want to join just whisper Kyóka asking to join. (It's me.) It's just a guild charter right now, so I need 4 people to sign it, then the guild will be up.

Alright so here is the issue. Whether or not spamming ratings is "bannable" does not mean its the appropriate action to take. It is highly annoying and 100% unnecessary. Normally we don't worry about it and tell people to turn off the notifications because of how petty it is. This case is a little different in which Kitty has been told, many times, to talk to a CL or DL/DM if there are further issues. She went against this advice and retaliated yet again.
 
There is obviously no reason for stumpy or forge to be talking the way they did in shoutbox, it just isn't respectful. Forge sure in the hell should know that, and stumpy... c'mon.
 
Stumpy was already banned for a day and warned due to his actions in shoutbox and posting on the forums.
 
I have dealt with issues of disrespect, harassment, unnecessary posting, and spamming about 5 times this week. It's going to stop here. CL's are done dealing with the disrespect and dishonesty that constantly goes on now. We went into most issues with an optimistic look, trying to see what we could do to remedy the situation and make all sides at least somewhat happy. No more lenience from us.
 
With that being said here is the decision regarding this thread.
 
Stumpy and Kitty (Forge may apply if he continues as well): If CL's, or even others with forum powers, get even the slightest hint of the following
-Disrespect
-Harassment
-Unnecessary arguing
-Rating spam
-Passive Aggressiveness
-Attention seeking
-Shitposting
-Or really anything that shows a lack of maturity and respect for other members
 
a PERMANENT forum ban will be immediately applied. And there's no if ands or buts about it. CL's or others with forum powers need to consult with preferably 3 or more others (CL's or others of equal power) before initiating a ban, just to make sure it's in fact justified.
 
All we ask is for EVERYONE to be mature about situations. You can have fun and joke around, but know the limits. Remember that although the internet allows you to hide behind a monitor, your words still affect people like it would in a face-to-face conversation. You would think I don't have to remind people about this, but apparently the internet makes you all think that if you can't see someone, why does it matter what I say?
 
I highly suggest you don't test our limits with this. Harassment will not be tolerated and apparently this is the action that needs to be taken.

Why are all the new people who were nowhere near old xg times telling us how to get back to it? I get it no segregation blah blah blah. but you guys are speaking as if you know how it was back in the time of aegean when you weren't there at all.
 
The number 1 thing we need to do is have members populate the servers, you guys are on the forums all the time, and shitposting everywhere, but you expect the staff to all populate the server and dont want to do it yourself. there is a boat load of you tf2 guys here, and a lot of you were in teamspeak/shoutbox/recent posts yesterday. but the tf2 servers had a total of 16 people across all the servers. 7 was the peak on pokemon trade.
 
Everyone needs to just play the damn servers. invite friends, and have a good time, not be such dicks to eachother, and not try to get everyone banned over 1 freekill or a few bm comments.

I'll discuss this with silence.

On a more serious note, xG will never be the same as it was, that much is obvious. What really made xG was the community, the people. After those people left, we were stuck with a slightly above average JB server. xG was a fire. The people who made JB fun were the spark, once we lost that spark all that was left were a few logs and some tinder. We can improve server plugins as much as we want, if nobody likes the people there then whats the point?

How about this: We get members to populate more than 1 div. Just because you are in the TF2 Div (or any division), doesn't mean you can't go to others. I know I'm being an hypocrite as I've said get back in your own division before, but this could boost population and bring our community together. The different divisions may have different people with better or worse personalities, but try it out. I occasionally go on CSS and Minecraft and it is quite fun.

Penguin can't fly anymore, Im sorry for your loss :(
 
I assure you our best medical teams are working on this issue.

Nigguh fug you, I never said I've actively populated recently; only that I support the idea of it along with providing ways in which to establish said population. Only time I did was about a week ago when it was absolutely empty and it was just me and @DeathGod, but he was being a scrub by not using his mic. Eventually got up to around 20+ people, it was a good time.
 
If I had the free time, I would be on that shit like mold on a shower curtain, much like I was back in the day. Mind you, back in the day I was just finishing High School so I had a lot of free time. Unfortunately, after that, life became a bitch and my activity in xG suffered.

A: I'm no longer staff. I have not been staff for a month. And before that I was without my computer for 3 months so there was 0 ways to play. I started playing again the minute I was back to school like I promised.
 
B: I do get on before other people do. Sometimes it doesn't work. Sometimes I come home to find people already on. Sometimes I get an invite. It doesn't negate the fact that I do try and populate the servers. And as for this:
I didn't realize there was a requirement of being on the whole time after the server is populated. I do believe I just stated I have a life. For example, I have a couple hours between classes so sometimes I get on and get to play but then I have to leave for CLASS. 
C: I wasn't singling you out with the hypocrite comment. Sorry if it seemed like that. Your comment simply reminded me of people I had seen on server after population had started complaining about people never populating.

I agree with a lot but I'd like to point out this thread in reply to this comment: Staff roster, helpful notes, rules and other things | Xeno Gamers It's not perfect but there are a few of us working to make it, and the community, better. As you said, it doesn't help when there are those that -don't- care. But we are trying.
 
It also doesn't help that in this thread: Cs:s Operation Revitalization | Xeno Gamers a good amount of the posts are "Why are you even trying? Give up." It's not from lack of trying that this happens. It's a lack of people willing to help it. The few that try get turned down.

I've said this before, i just wish the mods and admins would act like principals and not dictators. a principal calls you in to tell you what you did wrong and lets you off with a warning or detention. a dictator calls you in to tell you what you did wrong, then proceeds to make fun of you and pester you and gets the whole server to join along to pester this person. i understand that a person did something wrong, but don't go to far with it just tell them what they did wrong. it really turns people off when there are rude admins and mods, and go off and tell people why this server is bad thus not populating it. (inb4 vector post screenshot of something i said)

I agree with pretty much all of this (mostly because i skimmed through it and didn't read all of it but got most of it) but one of the big reasons we don't have population is staff and members are lazy when it comes to populating. There are people who do try their hardest to get population and usually it does work (Phoenix, Haxx, myself, Saturday, DeathGod, Cookie, occasionally Tav, etc.) but there are people who don't seem to have the patience or dedication to keep the servers populated. Although I can't speak for the ever-growing TF2 div they seem to be doing a pretty good job of keeping it populated most of the time of the day. If, like Forest said we start getting on every night knowing that there will be at least some population it would start to bring in regulars that eventually turn into members and even staff. Also, as has been said before, staff members need to get along with each other. That's why @Legend stepped down, he hated some of the mods (mostly me, for god knows why). I know Papercreeper, for example, hates my guts. I have no idea why he does, but he needs to get over the fact that I'm probably not going away any time soon. May or may not edit to add more things as I think about them

It would, for the most part, be decided by the community. Both times, my mod came from an application. Stating my interest, having people vote, and then getting it and doing my absolute best with it. And, yes I am still bitter about being demo'd for inactivity as I don't find that a good enough reason to be demo'd, especially when you are hurting for, in my opinion, good mods/admins.

Not to be rude or anything of the sort, but if you re-apply, I swear on me mum I'll -1 . Countless times have Members acted out in frustration or anger by 'leaving' and then come back within a month to re-apply.
 
It is not a justifiable reason that is worth re-accepting at all. Either choose to represent xG, or don't. Don't leave and then come back when you feel that it's okay to do so. This applies to anyone else with the same mindset btw, not you specifically.

First of all the way the CLs handled the whole member protest problem was embarrassing and the final outcome even more so.
Not entirely sure how it was embarrassing. What would have been embarrassing is if we had given bans based on evidence without checking further into things. It also would have been embarrassing for us to give a decision within minutes of the thread. We took our time to come to a conclusion that addressed a number of issues. Just because you put up a ban request doesn't mean we are going to ignore other sides of the situation. For example: If someone puts up a ban protest for someone mass freekilling, and we go through the evidence and find that someone was warden and told them to kill everyone, then we address all issues and two people get banned for different amounts and reasons.
 
I will not accept my demotion for doing nothing wrong, I would love an example where I have abused my responsibility as a mod to warrant a demotion, can't find one? neither can I.
You had admitted to retaliation. No matter what circumstances it is, harassment is harassment. You said they did it to you and that you did it back to them. You can't use someone elses actions as an excuse to act improperly. We have a responsibility to stop harassment against all members, not just one. You were not given a forum ban because of the much lesser extend to which you harassed others. There were other outlets you had to take care of the situation as well, which included contacted your DM or DL, or any CL who would have taken care of the situation.
 
All the issue needed was an announcement from a CL to those involved to cease fighting or be punished but all we got were unnecessary demotions and bans which were lifted anyway so that makes it even more pointless!
 
The issue did not need an announcement, especially since you made a big deal out of it. Had it "just needed an announcement" I would have thought you would have confronted us about it. CL's had no say in bans that were lifted, that was purely something that is in Silence's hands.
 
I am not angry at any of those involved in the protest. I have made amends with the majority of those involved and there are no further issues. That is not the reason I am leaving. I am leaving because of the CLs and the way this clan is run (with the exception of Nomulous).
 
I was so angry after I saw the outcome of the protest I was thinking of leaving right there and then but I kept going until the next promo demo as I heard the demotions were a temporary demotion and everyone will be re promoted next promo demo. This is not just me I feel unjustified for I also feel for Moosty. Yes he made that picture which was wrong but he apologised for it and he should not of been demoted either.
 
Any demotion is a temporary demotion. Members that are truly "dedicated TF2 Div trade members" would not leave a clan. You can never expect to receive a promotion, especially when the same kind of behavior continues after the punishment in which you lost your powers. Everyone did get promoted the next promo demo though, but CL's turned down all but starmix; he has shown maturity and generally stayed out of most issues since the punishment which cannot be said for the rest and thus why they were all denied promotion.
 
What baffles me is the only person who got demoted in the protest and got his powers back is StarmiX. This obviously points to favourism and I refuse to be in a community that favours some members above others.
 
I don't even think i've met starmix. Don't assume when you don't know the truth. Actually, come to think of it, I don't think i've played or let alone held a conversation with any of you before this incident. Its hard for me to play favorites with someone i dont know.

I was told by Hiding "you must earn your mod again" sorry but no.
 
Yes. Nobody will ever get mod handed to them. There was nothing stopping you from receiving it again, and chances are you would have got it back next time.

I already earned it and did a good job with it, you demoted me and Moosty without knowing how much effort we put in to the TF2 div trade servers. You're an idiot and how you are a CL baffles me.
 
I cannot say one way or another about your mod performance, and i'm sure you earned it the first time. But, you actions, along with others, caused mod to be lost. I'm the furthest thing from an idiot, but thanks for insulting me (it reinforces our decision). I really don't appreciate you calling me an idiot, that can be considered verbal abuse and harassment if it continues.
 
so well done CLs on this clan losing one of the most active, friendly and dedicated TF2 Div trade members. Give yourselves a pat on the back and maybe learn how to run a community properly because you are clueless, corrupt and idiotic from what I've seen.
 
Can you go ahead and let us know exactly how we are clueless, corrupt and idiotic? As far as I can tell we handled it in the best way that we could, although hopefully we can get answers a little faster.
