  1. Looks good on paper, though it does seem like a shit-storm ready to happen; that is, it could result in a lot of freekilling due to misunderstandings or contradictions with other rules that are set in place. It also looks like it would be a complete nightmare for Staff to moderate, especially since it involves the removal of a rule. Though this may just be because the examples you gave don't [personally] seem very 'fun' or because it's difficult to understand the gist of what you're suggesting with this. Could you perhaps reword it or elaborate in a more comprehensive way (though I'm fairly certain it's merely just 'removing a rule' from a specific MotD game)?
  2. While the ruling for "Guncheck Freeze" is that you are to be facing away, this does not over-rule the fact that you told Ts to face cells beforehand. Unless you specified a direction before the initial order, the Ts are to face the direction you gave. To clarify, if Ts are given a Guncheck Freeze order, then they are to be facing away from cells unless a direction was specified; in which case they are to be facing the direction that was specified (in this case, facing cells). The reason we don't allow this sort of thing is because it would be considered tarping (giving an order that contradicts itself) which is only to be done after 3 minutes have passed. That being said, seeing as this was an accidental case of misunderstanding the rules, I think the Higher-Ups should consider a shortened ban from permanent and that the rule be updated with the whole "unless a direction has been specified" since this isn't the first occurrence of this.
  3. Just a couple things that went unanswered that I would still like clarification on from the Higher-Ups. To recap: What is the established 'punishment' for cheating during map specific games? With the current way it's set up, it looks like it's a slayable offence. Is this correct? How long can a secondary be out until a T is labelled a Rebel? There is nothing currently in the MotD that covers this, just that a T is considered a Rebel if they aim/shoot at a CT with a secondary. (Chrono mentioned the rules for primaries, is it the same for secondaries?) Sorry for the questions. Like I said, I just made this as a sort of referral thread for these miscellaneous things that Staff (or players) may be unsure of since they aren't fully covered in the MotD.

  5. Well, if the CS:GO Higher-Ups wanted to (and I mean really wanted to) they could look into setting up a schedule/timetable for Staff. Now, I know that this already sounds like a terrible idea since this isn't exactly a job and no one's being paid for it, but hear me out: This obviously wouldn't be some mandatory timetable like you would see for work. It would merely be a schedule to refer to that highlights the hours in which Staff activity is at its lowest or its highest. After the schedule itself has been established, then Staff can determine the problem areas (or in this case, problem hours) where Staff activity is most needed. Simply put, check with all CS:GO Staff and determine what days/hours they [roughly] can regularly hop on Servers and compile it into a nice schedule or something. At this point, it's just a matter of a capable Staff member to take up the torch at that time to do some moderating during their own time for that particular period. The only times in which this wouldn't really apply would be during downtime (Server activity) or late at night.
  6. https://xenogamers.com/threads/36682/ LoZ remixes, give them to me right meow.
  7. I've been on a 'Legend of Zelda' kick recently and I've been looking for some tunes to add to my library. Feel free to post some sweet beats or other variations below, I'll Link (hue) the few that I've already spammed into oblivion through my headphones (the ones that I enjoy the most that is). These remixes can be related to any genre by the way, it does not have to be exclusive to EDM, D&B, etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kNwG2Tfx6Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTt026NTQfE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yp3UeCguVVI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU75uz0b8EU

  10. Hey guys, I noticed during the last time I played on the CS:GO Servers that there were a few things that stood apart as possible issues or things that could be clarified or given a deeper meaning in the rules. I'll try to keep my best to keep this basic and organized, so without further ado: 1. Gun Check Freeze This is an area I'm unfamiliar with as I'm relying on the late-CS:S Jailbreak's Rules, but I just wanted some clarification: Are hidden areas still considered a "vent", or are they to be treated differently? I'll give this the benefit of the doubt and assume they're one in the same (if not, disregard this section) for this particular part. Assuming they are, you may want to consider adding this to the rules. I've noticed [on multiple occassions] instances in which a T would camp out a hidden spot (practically invisible) and end up with LR due to some ridiculous reason. Of course, this isn't the only implication that can be had, but it's just a scenario I recently encountered. Whatever the case may be, you may want to include something along the lines of, "... or any [hidden] areas deemed 'cheap' by Staff" 4. Rebel Labelling Again, an area I'm unsure of, but giving it the benefit of the doubt and assuming this is to be treated similarly to the late-CS:S Jailbreak Rules (again, if not, disregard this section). With the last rule in that list, does this mean that Ts may have a secondary out as long as they do not aim or shoot at a CT with it? I'm assuming this isn't the case, so with that being said you may want to include that or do what the CS:S Jailbreak Rules had in place which is give Ts a predetermined amount of time to have a weapon out before they are labelled a Rebel. For example: "Have a primary or secondary unholstered for more than # seconds" 5. Simon Says
  11. It's important to know when you should/shouldn't kill Ts, which is what makes being a CT difficult at times. If you're ever unclear with orders, or if you aren't sure what's going on, your best bet is to kill no one or let yourself be killed. This will [likely] prevent future CT bans from happening. I would also strongly recommend brushing up on the Server rules just to be safe. Knowledge is power! :)
  12. I believe that it's subjective solely because I feel it isn't an explicit fact of nature. Some people will find a particular person unattractive, while another may find that exact same person attractive. As you said, there are personal tastes and that is what makes it subjective. In a sense, it would be like me referring to Strawberry flavoured ice cream as revolting while another person says it's the best flavour ever. In this case, it revolves around flavour; the sense of taste. It's an odd thing to compare this to, but just as 'taste' is subjective, so is beauty. I can guarantee that there is [at the very least] one person in the entire world who will find a certain person attractive. This also goes hand-in-hand when defining physical beauty versus inner-beauty as it too completely relies on the "eyes of the beholder".
  13. This sounds like you may have witnessed Mod/Admin abuse, to which I implore you that you record the offending Staff Member in the act of abuse so that they may be dealt with. You can check out this thread if you are unfamiliar as to how you can gather evidence or proof against any alleged abusing Staff Members: How-to: Gathering Evidence
  14. Hey everyone, I'll be posting here in the thread to update the winner of the month for submissions, just as a placeholder! So you can expect these posts monthly (depending on when a winner's submission has been selected). The original post will also be updated with the winners as well as their submissions! Winner of March 11th, 2016 - #1 NitNat
  15. If only. Well, at least half useful. The section that refers to the applications URL is all but outdated since the recent removal of forms. EDIT: Or not, that URL still works perfectly fine, meaning that page still exists but just isn't shown.. Thanks Rhods
  16. Er, I don't suppose you have any incriminating evidence of any sort to back this up? Or at the very least, a Steam ID to work with? Without the aforementioned content, this will be closed quicker than a newly submitted Member Submission by Towelie. Might even be closed sooner than that since it isn't in the Ban Request section as well.

    Uh..?

You know, it isn't a matter of using something that can be used so much as it is a matter of Xeno Gamers' integrity. There are a lot of impressionable players out there, especially in a game that's free-to-play. It isn't about your own pride here that matters, it's about what's best for the clan in and of itself.

    Uh..?

I lol'd. Mayhaps, before implementing a map, it should be looked over first to determine that it lives up to Xeno Gamers' standards :coffee:
  19. Too trivial and frivolous to have to implement into the rules. To be perfectly honest, this is just a case of Ts being smart asses. I personally would have killed the Ts as well as they were facing the general direction of VIP cells when Warden had instructed them to face main cells. To recap, can you recall a time when the order "All Ts face cells" was to be interpreted as "All Ts face a specific cell in mind"? The order in itself specifically means "face the general direction of main cells" which 99.9% of the time is directly opposite to the main cell stairs/ramp. The Warden didn't say "All Ts face a cell", the order that was given was "All Ts face main cells". That all being said, this is how it has always been interpreted as, so correct me if I'm wrong @OldFagsOfCSS/CSGO.
  20. Bring Back Darkrp Refer to this thread regarding possible additions to the GMOD Server as it has been discussed already. It's apparent that it would be more trouble than it's worth and I'm sure Stickz [along with his Staff] has dedicated a large amount of their time to ensure that the GMOD Division stays afloat with the Morbus Server. I can't speak for them of course, this is merely speculation. Like DoctorGringo said, it's easy for anyone to suggest that a new Server be implemented, but it requires just as much time and dedication from Members who request it as well. Maybe if there was a collective gathering of Members who would like to see a TTT Server up and running again, then perhaps it may be considered by the GMOD Higher-Ups? I don't know, I just feel like it could just be a potential waste of time and resources. Though this is all just personal opinion, so take it with a grain of salt.
  21. I can't speak for the CS:GO Higher-Ups, but I can imagine they are always actively looking for likely candidates to Moderate the Servers. As you mentioned, it can be a lengthy process because not just anyone can be a Staff Member, especially when representing Xeno Gamers. Unfortunately there is no work around to this; it's better that we get qualified Members of the community who will do a good job rather than a Staff Member who won't. Quality is far better than Quantity. In the end, it really is just a matter of time. I'm sure Staff is trying their best to suit both the Server's needs as well as their own. Just keep in mind that our Staff isn't given any incentive to Moderate; they're doing it because they want to further the growth of the Server and the growth of Xeno Gamers. That being said, it's only fair that they be given some time away from the Servers every now and then as they do have lives to lead. However, they should still try their best to answer a call to action in a timely manner. Needless to say, it isn't like the Higher-Ups aren't looking for likely candidates. Like previously mentioned, it just takes time.
  22. Yes, I have a couple of inquiries: It seems like whenever I play Crittlesticks I get a lot of flaming and general bad attitude. What can I do to avoid this issue? I have also noticed that when I lock in with Fiddlesticks as ADC, the lobby always seems to crash when there is five seconds left before the match starts and I get thrown back into match-making. Is my game broken? Thanks in advance.

I didn't read this thread until after you replied to me last night, it all makes a lot more sense now.
