Don't need to segregate Divisions any more than they already have been. Mass freekilling is universally the same across all Divisions in terms of punishment and leniency, it's no different on CS than it is on TF2. Said fact aside, -1 due to this particular sexy person's history. Do the mona pizza challenge m8 :coffee:

To be clear, it's more of "bending the rules", so to speak, so that the one doing it can justify what they are doing. For example, at one point we had a rule of "do not camp vents". The intention was obvious; to keep people from camping vents. But others "bent" the rule by stating that they weren't camping but merely moving back and forth inside the vent. Since we had another rule stating that camping was defined as being within the same amount of distance for a certain amount of time, this worked in their favour as they weren't technically camping. This is an instance of "loopholing" where they find a way to make a rule benefit them by either bending its intended purpose or contradicting it with another rule. To combat this, a newly enacted rule was made (Vent Camping) which stated that it was staying within a vent or other hidden spot with no intent of leaving. It was further elaborated on for maximum clarity stating that a player couldn't walk back and forth inside it to avoid breaking the rule. Loopholing is a real thing; the problem is that people do fully understand the rule, but try to exploit it in some way.

Welcome to the more "drama" filled side of XenoGamers m8. Here's to hoping the senseless drabble that goes on around here doesn't drive you away. But in all seriousness, welcome!

All personal opinion: You shouldn't use powers to give/gain an advantage in any given situation, regardless of what is going on; that includes giving an advantage to a player who already has one to begin with (IE. Last Blue/CT). I don't know what goes on in TF2, so I may not have a say in the matter, but my impression of Staff Members (this applies to all Divisions) is that they are to treat every situation in a respectable manner and should know when to use their powers. It shouldn't be a back-and-forth of "he was a smart-ass to me, therefore I should be one to him with my powers". Staff should be calm and collected by handling situations in a way that asserts their position without giving off a "haha, I have powers and you don't" vibe. I get that some people want to set an example, but slapping the hell out of someone isn't a step in the right direction. If anything it just provokes them into acting out further and inevitably escalating the situation. If they slip up, punish them accordingly. If they're just being a smart ass, then by all means go right ahead and be a smart ass right back; but keep your powers out of it.

People just lack imagination and creativity. It doesn't take much to switch things up but some people are just too afraid to do so. Honestly, whenever I'm a CT I'm always thinking of ways to break free of the "conventional and effective round" before getting Warden. That's just how I do it, but I'm sure there are people who even come up with stuff right on the spot. Part of the problem is that people take their role too seriously to the point where it isn't even a game anymore; such is the case with Wardens who focus on just getting through the round with minimal CT casualties.

Your "cat" still needs to be banned.

Whether to address as Admiral or not is the question.

We do get this. Though it just comes in the insincere form of ass-kissing to get unbanned or something. It doesn't help either that anyone can write paragraphs upon paragraphs of apologies without being sincere about it in the first place (not saying such is the case, just elaborating on what I mean). The proper thing to say would be "If only xG wasn't gaming Highschool". Though I have to say, if what was said is true in that Dethman was intentionally out to get Vector; it brings up some unpleasant memories from another DL that I'm sure @xGShadowSpy can relate this particular situation to ;)

@Nomulous Besides that, I've got nothing to contribute. Don't play TF2 enough to understand most of what was mentioned.

Judging by the large amount of people for a challenge that is mentally stimulating, this may be what the next giveaway will be focused on. Going to have the Poll close on Monday, so be sure to throw your votes in. Would you guys prefer a single large prize, or multiple prizes (IE. 50$ for winner as opposed to 25$ for 1st, 15$ for 2nd and 10$ for 3rd)? Also keep in mind that entry to these Giveaways is free (provided you have been a Registered User on the site for more than two months [subject to change]), however I may change this to better reflect active users by only allowing those who have a certain amount of posts made to enter. What do you guys think?

Community Leaders in a nut shell. My suggestion would be to set this in stone somewhere, that way Members will know who to consult for whatever problem(s) they are facing. I'll admit to dropping the ball on that during the initial setup of the Community Leader rank since I only gave a very vague and brief description of their duties. It was the intention of Serb and I to create a committee based on the duties of Co-Leaders, but with a narrowed specific focus on community. This is why they were stripped of their powers ingame. If the problem here is one of trust, then the easiest alternative would involve the community itself to elect Members to the aforementioned position of power. Though the trouble here is that it would require an actual effort; people electing someone and giving valid reasoning to back them up. Something of which seems to dwindle more and more each day (look at Member Submissions. That's right, I'm bringing this up again). Once that has happened, it'll be the responsibility of someone (cough Silence. Lets face it, the guy owns XenoGamers. Of course he ought to be the one to pick.) to hand pick those who has been deemed.. Worthy, for a lack of better words. I'd love to bring up more on the subject by giving my very own TL;DR post, but I'm currently at work so this will have to do. I may post again with more detail later in the day.

:Old Man: May want to take a look at what year this thread was made m8.

My niqqa. How has life been treating you? Good to see you're still alive DG

Er, before sh!t hits the fan, I was just poking fun at Darkwolf's expense @Matsi . I don't personally have a problem with that lifestyle or anything of the sort, I'm not one to judge. Just saying this now as a pre-emptive strike to deter any arguments, ássuming one is brewing. Plus this is neither the time nor place :coffee:

We had one in power. He mass kicked people from the Steam Group and completely jacked up our CS:S Jailbreak Server.

It was in your third paragraph (see above). It's obvious that Armin's.. Statement, for a lack of better words, triggered you in some way. While it's perfectly understandable that you would want to voice your opinion, there was no reason to belittle Armin's statement in such a hostile way. I won't say it wasn't unprovoked, because it certainly looks like it was in some way, but do keep in mind that the intention of that thread (correct me if I'm wrong) was to announce a life decision that was made by Armin, not to berate anyone. Granted, I personally don't think the whole "if you're not a douchebag, you'll refer to me as I want you to refer to me" (paraphrasing) was completely necessary, but it's such a frivolous comment to completely derail a thread over considering there are millions of people who enforce their own values. Again, I get that you wanted to state your opinion, there isn't anything wrong with that (everyone should take someone's opinion with a grain of salt, it isn't factual). But as I mentioned earlier, you don't have to instigate a gong-show of a thread on the grounds that you disagree with them. By all means, if you really want to get an argument going, do everyone a favour and just take it to a private chat (this applies to everyone in general) but please don't muck up the forums. For the record, as always, I'm neutral party in all of this and I am not taking sides here, but merely stating my understanding of the situation as well as my own opinion. Take it with a grain of salt :coffee:
