Played on the servers frequently on my alt account, switched over to Jpie. Im going to be honest, im not happy with what i saw. Constant spam, freekillers, rule breakings etc. etc. I am making this app with full intention of trying to gain moderator again to help with this problem. There is no staff on when i play, with the exception of one time when demonic and NitNat came on.

Im getting all A's in school with no "Misbehaviour reported" so i think i can afford to slip to a B or something iunno. The servers are dying guys come oooooon

Jpie112 reacted to Forest in How-to: Gathering Evidence
Hello fellow xG Members, tis I, Forest! Here to spread the good word on how to subdue rule breakers and other hooligans whose existence revolves around stirring up anarchy and chaos within our Servers. As many are well aware (or at the very least should be aware) Staff Members can't always be on every Server at any given moment. This results in moments of rampancy where rule breakers are running amok, freekilling poor defenseless reds/terrorists, giving multiple Free Days round after round, and the mic spamming.. Oh Lord the mic spamming! I'm here to tell you that things don't have to be this way. You can aid xG in its attempts to subdue these criminals. That's right, you too can help us without the use of fancy powers like slaying, muting or banning! How, you say? Well, allow me to enlighten you in several ways you can personally take down these rulebreakers. For the sake of organization (and ease), I'll break it down into steps for you to take.

Now, before we begin dispensing Justice, there are a few things we'll need.

First and foremost, we'll need to capture someone in the act of rule breaking. Now, there are various ways in which you can choose to capture evidence against a rule breaker. You can choose to capture it through video recording, voice recording, and by providing text proof (typically in the form of screenshots). I'll begin with text based evidence as it can be obtained without having to be ingame (depending on the rules being broken).

    1. Text Based Evidence

There are a few ways in which you can obtain evidence toward rule breakers by way of text. This is typically reserved for people who are harassing or otherwise disrespecting players in any way. Keep in mind that you cannot copy and paste text for use as evidence as this is not a valid means of proof! There are a few ways in which you can obtain text evidence that will retain its integrity and validity.

    1A. Chat Logs
You can pull logs from a Server by going through the following steps:
1.1 Note the time in which the rule breaking occurred
    1.2 Head to rank.xenogamers.com
1.3 Click on the Server in which you wish to gather the chat logs
1.4 Click on the Chat tab marked under the Sections
1.5 Find the appropriate time in which the rule breaking occurred and screenshot the offending text (*Note: The chat logs are constantly updated so for ease it is best to screenshot the information rather than link the chat page)
1.6 Make your way to wherever you saved your screenshot and then simply attach the screenshot(s) you took to your post

    1B. Chat Logs

*Optional: You can also choose to link the offending player's chat history by doing the following:
2.1 Take down the player's Steam ID
2.2 Follow steps 1.1 through 1.3 from above
2.3 Click on the Players tab marked under the Sections
2.4 Input the Steam ID into the Search bar and proceed to click Search Player
2.5 Click on the Player's name
2.6 Click on Chat located below their Statistics Summary (*Note: Because this chat log isn't updated at the same rate as a Server based one, you may choose to link this page instead)
2.7 Make your way to wherever you saved your screenshot and then simply attach the screenshot(s) you took to your post -or- copy and paste the link to the player's chat log page. Be sure to include at what time the incident occurred for convenience!

    1C. Chat Logs
Another alternative that doesn't require nearly as much effort as the above two is to simply screenshot while ingame. This particular strategy is welcomed, however it is a lot more clunky and disorganized to read due to the feed generating a lot of unrelated content. The only requirement for this is to be ingame and have Console (~) enabled. For the sake of clarity (and consistency) simply do the following:
3.1 While ingame, open Console (~) and scroll through the feed until you see the desired text.
3.2 Highlight the offending text (allows viewers to easily distinguish between related and unrelated text) and then proceed to screenshot it
3.3 Make your way to your game's folder and then simply attach the screenshot(s) you took to your post
    2. Recording Based Evidence

As with text based evidence, there are a couple ways in which you can obtain evidence toward rule breakers through recording. This form of evidence is typically used against rule breakers who are freekilling, actively harassing or mic spamming as well as other forms of rule breaking that are difficult to capture through screenshot or text.

    2A. Demos
Demos are a form of recording that are included in the Source Engine to record ingame without the stress of running 3rd party recording software. This allows users who would otherwise be unable to record by using a program such as Fraps to record easily.
4.1 Ensure that you have Console (~) enabled. This option will typically be located under the Advanced section in the Keyboard tab in your Options menu of whatever game you're on.
4.2 While ingame, open Console (~) and type in the following (where demotest is the name you would like to label the file as): record demotest
4.3 You should now be recording all gameplay in the current game you are running (IE. If you are running TF2, then you are now recording a demo for that session. It will not record any other instances of games running at the same time)
4.4 Once you have the desired amount of footage, open Console (~) and type in the following: stop
4.5 Your demo will have stopped recording and will be saved as demotest.dem in your game folder (For instance: \Steam\SteamApps\common\team fortress 2\tf\) along with all its associated files. At this point, it's as easy as locating the file and attaching it to a post.

Congratulations! You now have the necessary knowledge and tools to aid xG in taking down rule breakers. You no longer have to worry about a rule breaker getting away before a Staff Member can get on! Keep in mind that this is by no means a substitute for Staff Members; they are always needed and should be called on immediately should anything go wrong on the Servers. This is merely a.. Back up plan, that'll allow you to help out in your own way.

The best of luck to you all, go get em'!

I try to share my feelings and thought and you just shove it to the side! This community needs to stop and think for a second about how we feel! Just because we have sexy cartoon girls on our pillows doesn't mean that there is something wrong with us! Anime is a beautiful art form that is accepted and practiced by millions even outside of japan. You can't fucking judge us because of what we like, maybe i like the animation of how Aoimi ran towards hiro, a sexual flare even in a run animation.

(FOR THE MOST PART) Moderators haven't sold their souls to xG, they can wander from server to server when and for what reasons they please, it is just asked of them that they make sure the servers that they moderate are in working order and arent getting swarmed by rule breakers. I think specific mods for specific servers is a bad idea.

Its a wonder why girls didn't just fall head over heels for this blonde, musclebound, pompadour-rocking, elvis-wannabe. Johnny proves that self-confidence, muscle, hair gel, and a little bit of "HEH! But for the most part the age restriction at 16 has not helped. The forums are just as toxic, people are not interested forums so don't vouch much (proven when only 10 people have been accepted since it's start and 2 got in because they were former staff), immaturity is not decreasing, and people are becoming less interested in us and go to other clans and donate. The restriction at 16 is a good idea but is hurting us. How many of us joined when we were 14? Probably a lot of us. We need to kick out toxic people in order to become more mature and not restrict people from joining. It should be back to 14 years of age to join xG dye to these reasons and stay 16 to become staff. There are much more immature 16+ people then immature regulars on our servers. I made a thread in the admin discussion not long ago but not many people responded. We gave it 4 months and it has proven that it does not work.

Tl; Dr the rule is good on paper but sucks and does not work. Change it back before it hurts us more.

CL's are supposed to be highest up right? The why the hell do they hold that power and basically just do 1 thing. The only thing i see them do is moderate forums. Not looking into community needs or wants, they just close threads before shitstorms and don't get back to us. Many people have said this before but Hiding seems to be the only non-biased CL. You guys have made some pretty biased decisions. Lets just use Rabids perm forum ban not too long ago as an example. Rabid was on his very last warning and when him and kypari got into a fight he was permed. The diabeetus, lee, and penguin disagreed with the perm ban saying it was kypari's fault and rabid retaliated, which he did do. But if you guys remember, kittylicious was demoted for retaliating and then eventually permed even though she was given 1 warning and not a single temp forum ban. I agreed with her ban, the problem i have is that when it comes to an old fag the CL's tend to say "it should have been a day, that was unfair." Don't do a ban this person perm for this but this guy gets a day ban for same thing. That is very biased and unfair, stick with one decision for all and they can appeal later.

Laziness: I have seen a lot of laziness in the way things are done for CL's. If you need an example look no further then the much neglected Staff Roster, Helpful Notes, Rules And Other Things . You guys updated it once or twice and never updated it again. All it is is adding and getting rid of 2 or 3 names every 2 weeks. I know you are making something similar now but this should have been updated months ago. Another thing is a situation me and @Rejects brought up to diabeetus. Ace thought that a ban on @Xerses should have been perm since at the time saying kill yourself was a permanent ban. He requested to speak with diabeetus as an appeal court but this time to extend a ban. He handed the evidence needed to diabeetus and it was about 15 minutes long. Guess what? Never heard from him again and he told us that he will talk to ALL tf2 higher ups about this. 2 weeks go by and rejects states that he never got a message from diabeetus about the ban. This ended up hurting us as the person who reported it ended up being disappointed in us and left completely saying he had given up on xG. Why would you offer to look into a ban and PROMISE to get back with him and never do another thing with it after words. Or how about when iggy was still permed from everything 2 weeks after vector was unbanned. Makes all of the CL's look horribly lazy in my eyes.

Poor behavior: Remember the british humor thread that was created new years day? Remember that was labeled the biggest shitstorm and most cancerous of threads. It got really bad almost as soon as it started. It was a massive shitpost with both sides literally shitposting. Usually it is closed/deleted as it hurts the image of xG. But what happens? Lee posts mid thread and it was not like a calm down, it was
. As a community leader, how can you just allow a shitstorm to occur with full knowledge of it. Then it was not even deleted, with all of the shit and stuff that hurts our image, it was undeleted because old fags wanted it to be. Also why did Bleed have to close it and not lee who already commented on it? Remember when penguin posted promo demos. That is one thread that should be taken seriously, but what happened? Penguin decided to half ass it put bullshit in with the actual promo's. Like kbraszzz to kbraszz. CL's should take the job seriously and not do shit like that.
CL's do hold the highest power in the clan currently. But all they say they need to do is watch forums and teamspeak. Teamspeak is not hard to monitor at all and forums have multiple staff that can monitor it. Excuses do not help, you are community leaders. You hold a position and make decisions that effects EVERYONE in the community. You are not just teamspeak mods nor forum admins, you are leaders of the community and you should know ALL of the community before you make decisions impacting it. Realize you guys have not played on our servers at peak hours in months. The only time we see you is once every 4-5 months at the least. You guys did say you would get more active in tf2 but still have not seen that. Why keep people in power when they do minimal work.

Not disrespecting CL's in anyways but there are lots of concerns i needed to bring up.
    just my 2 cents

Jpie112 reacted to Matsi in Xg - Active Management And Dead Divs
So, I was honestly shocked to find out that xG still has servers for some divisions that are nearly always empty. I think it is time to trim the fat of the community and get rid of some of these dead divisions to free up funds for new things that will bring in members and give current members access to newer games.

I was looking at the only statistics I could find on the CS:GO div server and from what I can tell it is almost always empty or at most has 2-4 players for like an hour once a week... The staff don't even seem to actively play in the div.

Another thing I have found is that it seems a lot of the "higher ups" like CLs and DLs don't seem to be very active in ANY div that the clan has and I feel like the higher ups that are in charge of some important decisions regarding the future of this clan should play a more active role, and play on the servers to get to know more of the members.

I would like to hear other peoples' thoughts and opinions on this. :)
