It is legitimately the most frustrating thing on earth to me when I'm trying to learn how to surf, and every time I screw up, I have to waste seconds immediately killing myself just to spawn at the beginning of the map again.

 

I've seen plenty of servers running many of the same maps, that just teleport you back to the beginning of the map upon screwing up, rather than to a jail. What even is the point of the jails? We have trade servers for DM-esque fighting, and it's not like it's even an effective method of leveling stranges...

 

I guess I'd argue that it just takes away from the surfing experience as a whole. Any particular reason we use jails?

it's awesome that you are trying to surf, but there is a reason we aren't skill surf. People enjoy killing and that's why we have arena maps. while I enjoy linear maps, we are combat surf and that's why a lot of people come there. to either farm their stranges in the jail if they can't beat the map or people use cptele to keep going back to spawn to beat the map.

Tbh we should have one of our good surfers make a video showing how to surf and giving proper instructions on how to do it. We could put it in the !motd so they can learn how to do it.

I think @Vac should make the video since he is one of the best and he can do it for Spanish speakers as well.

We enforce it for every class. Sniping is just dominant.

Well i havent seen anyone enforce it.

I understand why sniping from spawn is a rule on surf, but why is it just snipers? Any class can kill from spawn, why does staff immediately take action when it's a sniper, but when it's any other class, when it happens, it goes generally untreated? For example, in snow arena, there was a Tomislav heavy shooting from spawn and nothing was done about it, i mean he didnt get a kill, but he still did damage. The person doing it has the same intention of killing from spawn. I think you should take action when anyone is trying to kill from spawn, not just snipers. It's not fair towards snipers and people who get shot while trying to surf on arena maps. I think you should take action or make it a rule that nobody can shoot from spawn when anyone is trying to kill from spawn, not just snipers.

yeah the list in the hub to buy it. it doesnt show up.

Once you buy a weapon color you obviously have to slay yourself or rejoin. But they don't work in first person so only other people can see it or when you're in third person. Other than that they're actually really bad and no one uses it so it's not worth the credits.

Weapons Colors has always been in the shop. It may or may not work on quite a bit of items; only stock gets colored.

I heard that surf or another server used to have weapon colors. can we bring that to surf?

I don't understand why have noclip in the donator shop, but none of the other commands. Why not put the killstreak command in the shop for like 50,000. I completely understand it is an incentive to donate, but it'd be nice to have ks in shop.

I stayed in surf cause of vac and he wanted me to become member cause of how much time i spent in surf.

I think that is only a CS kind of thing; but if its available on TF2 I'm down for it.

 

Only issue is cheaters with cptele and rocket jumper and launcher as CSGO doesn't have those.

thats why i say screenshot and a run only being viable if its only a full run.

okay so my idea is we add a timer to the surf server and we have a scoreboard for the fastest times. The scores would get wiped at the end of the week or something like that. maybe an overall high score. people submit their highscore with a screenshot on steam or something like that. I think it would create compitition for the more experienced surfers.
