Moosty 148 Posted July 24, 2017 So basically we have a map on TF2's Trade Gaming history that has a full body image of a nude woman, tits, bush, minge and all, and our staff has been allowing it because "it's artistic" well I looked at the rules and they said no nudity and to keep it PG-13, So I'm confused as to where I can find this "If it's artistic nudity is allowed" clause in our rules. I won't post an uncensored image, since nudity on forums is banned artistic or not(LOL it's almost like that's the rule), but here's one with the naughty bits covered by sprays, though it's clear what's happening under said sprays. Steam Community :: Screenshot :: we don't allow nudity I honestly Don't care about the decision either way as I like the map, I just don't want to see special treatment behind the communities back just because a map is well made and fun. If we allow it to stay I'd like a clause added to our rules that we host maps with nudity as long as DM+ find them artistic enough, because otherwise we're just breaking our own rules and confusing new players by randomly spawning them in front of a naked woman 10+ scout models tall while simultaneously telling them through motd that we're a pg-13 community that doesn't allow nudity. I just want consistency with our rules, or just transparency in cases we aren't consistent. that's my reason for making this thread. tagging relevant staff @Vexx @Sesh @mrnutty12 @Bello @Aegean @Rhododendron @virr @whoever I forgot I'm sorry fam 1 2 hongkongatron, realBelloWaldi and james8470 reacted to this
Thorax_ 539 Posted July 24, 2017 I mean it is art, not pornography. I’m still 50/50 for this though. Neutral

james8470 160 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) I'm a little surprised you're still going on about this Moosty, but you know what you have reason to, given that there is in fact no clear clause as to what kind of images are allowed in maps. Anyways, I like cyberpunk, and I'd like to see it stay. I think a clause which allows nudity in maps, provided it's artistic, is great I think not allowed any nudity in maps is just as great, provided we can simply remove/cover/replace the image in cyberpunk. Finally, "Should we either remove 2_A or be more transparent with exceptions to rules?" as a strictly yes or no question is kind of a scam. What if I don't want cyberpunk removed, but think we should be more transparent with exceptions to the rules, which I do. :p Edited July 24, 2017 by Guest (see edit history) 1 hongkongatron reacted to this
Thorax_ 539 Posted July 24, 2017 But by that logic so is loli, the only different is age of a fictional character, if we don't allow adult IRL porn, why allow adult animated porn? But Loli Porn is people/characters in sexual and/or erotic poses. This image in the map is just art.

It's all about being consistent with our rules, or just admitting when we aren't, or just changing the rules to allow ADULT animated porn
Thorax_ 539 Posted July 24, 2017 It’s a static image.
Vector 138 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) can you be more clear in your question in the poll? I'm not sure if what you're asking is to remove the map or make the rules more transparent. Unless the map is awful and that's another reason for it to be removed. 1 Thorax_ reacted to this

Kypari 579 Posted July 24, 2017 -1 Great map and we shouldn't remove it based on artistic feature of the map. It's like the hotelhell situation in a way.
Moosty 148 Posted July 24, 2017 -1 Great map and we shouldn't remove it based on artistic feature of the map. It's like the hotelhell situation in a way. Then we should change the rules to reflect that, right now we're random spawning people in front of a nude woman while the MOTD says no nudity. I'm not necessarily saying remove it, just change the rules so it isn't blatantly contradictory.
Moosty 148 Posted July 24, 2017 -1 its very obviously artistic nudity. No sexual themes at all High schoolers are our main population, all nudity has sexual themes to this crowd. we aren't mature, it's why we have the PG-13 rule to begin with. If we're allowing artistic nudity that's fine, just put it in the rule, not random spawn people in front of it without explanation.
Moosty 148 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) Have you been to an art museum? Yes and those naked women are In E R O T I C P O S ES, it doesn't mean it's not art. I think porn is objectively art, doesn't mean I think we should allow it. Edited July 24, 2017 by Guest (see edit history) 1 Thorax_ reacted to this
