Discord

When are we getting a discord server? We now have an official discord server! Discord - Free voice and text chat for gamers Get on our discord first, sync your forum account to discord after you're on, and all your titles from the forums follow you as roles on discord! It's that simple!

• For staff who were very adamant about not using teamspeak because it is "outdated" and because it "doesn't have as many features", you are expected to be active on our discord now. We have constantly tried giving incentives to use our teamspeak, but now we were pretty much forced to move to discord to make our community whole.
  
• That being said, community channels on discord will NOT be sold, we have already given a few voice + text channels for a few staff and members for free, and anyone who wants a channel (even if you're not staff) is expected to be active on those channels, or they will be removed for wasting space.
  
• Anyone who bought teamspeak channels will get exclusive badges for the forums, and something special on discord in the future. (will be discussed among higher ups first) Active members on discord will earn credits on the forums as well very soon.

What's New This Month?

• Raffles are out again, we have the newest One Piece game One Piece - Burning Blood | Xeno Gamers, and Goat Simulator Goat Simulator | Xeno Gamers. Be sure to enter in the raffles before time is up, it's totally free!
  
• TF2 staff will now be required to wear their tags in their name again if they are playing on our servers (instead of just using the chat prefixes). We want you to be proud of having xG in your name while you are administrating our servers (exception to if you are undercover) and we want to revert the changes from a few months ago. Thank you for your understanding!
  
• Discord as you know has been a huge change for us that I believe has been for the better as we have finally a platform for all our divisions to communicate amongst one other. We want our staff specifically to be more active on it, especially if they asked for their own channels but in the meantime we really enjoy the amount of discussion going on in each of the current text channels. If you have any suggestions to improve our discord, let us know!
  
• Rust unfortunately did not have enough interest that we hoped for, so we will allocate the resources into CS:GO and hopefully get some more content on that asap!
  
• Hate ads but still wanna help out? You can now support us on forums by mining crypto currency through your browser! As thanks for your help we'll hook you up with credits. Check this link out if you're interested!
   
  
• Prefixes are now added to the forums for the public to use for their threads! You can use the serious tag or the real life tag so far. Hope this helps with furthering discussion!

2018, What Now?

• Raffles will be back in a few days, we have a ton of stuff to give you guys over the course of the year!
• TF2 custom map has unfortunately been cancelled. The map maker has had plenty of issues with developing it, and he doesn't feel like he can spend any more time on it to make it worth the price that we agreed upon. It's unfortunate but there's nothing more to say about it.
• Discord has been a huge step forward for our community! Rhodo has been working on getting our discord server partnered so that will be our goal this year! We still have plans to reward anyone who had bought TS channels, I apologize it's taking so long so I will also give bonus credits once the reward is finalized.
• CS:GO Nipperhouse server is available to all for a limited time, 104.153.108.107:27015! Expect an event for this server in the next 2 weeks as well!
• Garry's Mod is getting a little funky as well, we have a friend who is developing a Battle Royale custom mod for Gmod, and will need us to help him test it! More information will be available hopefully in 2 months!
• Youtube content will be available within 2 months, including the new channel.
• Minecraft server should be out within the month, they have been working their butts off to make the factions server truly one of a kind and fun for you all, so I hope you guys are ready to get back into it!
• Rotation Server (hosted by @Bone ) Gamemode Rotation Thread | Xeno Gamers please leave feedback on this thread, we are considering to host a different game entirely depending on what people would like.
• Staff activity has been looked upon very leniently due to holidays and school finals, as schools begin to start, things will start getting back to normal. Thank you all for taking care of our servers in 2017!
• Bans should also be looked at very carefully when looking at previous offenses to determine punishments, and any ban on an individual should be disregarded if it has been a year or more (unless it was a perm ban of course) *ninjaedit*
• Sprays have this following rule now: no explicit nudity/genitalia, racism, hate symbols, gore, derogatory content and images of sexualized minors (this includes drawn images)*ninjaedit*

Thanks again to everyone who has helped make 2017 such a great year, we would not have been able to continue for our 8th year without you all being here, lets hope for an even greater (with much less procrastination) year!

Since the last update post, a few things have happened. We've added a couple more moderators, in the form of @Tatost and @hongkongatron! Hong in particular has been a big reason for the comeback of community nights and he will therefore be rocking a "Community Organizer" tag. They're not unfamiliar faces around here and I know they're both going do a great job, so please give them a warm welcome!

On the discord itself, a few things have happened. The interface in the #roles channel have been given a well needed facelift and now looks super fancy. A member counter, requested by @Thorax_ has also been added, check it out in the #rules-faq channel! We're also adding a new channel to give members and friends of xG a chance to add some flair to their name (Moss green really does suck after a year or two of seeing it). This feature will be released sometime in the coming week, but here's a sneak peek in the meantime. Huge thanks to @Segal for all help hes brought to the table to make it happen!

Keep in mind that you either need to have either a "Friend of xG" or a "Member" role in order to use this channel when it launches, so make sure you link your xG account to Discord or message @virr to get yourself hooked up!

While it might take a little bit for us to fully transition out of the dead, cold and jewish carcass that is @Rhododendrons clan and into a bright new future, we can always dream of what that future holds for us. Here is a sneak peek of some changes that you can expect to happen:

• Promotions and Demotions will be renamed to "Bumpies and Dumpies"
• xB will be hosting a minecraft server. It will be a gamemode never seem before called "factions". More details coming soon!
• xB will also feature a portal division, where staff have the option to roleplay as turrets with various camos! @Lithium has volunteered to be a test subject for you to shoot at.
• Your daily "Bumpy Bumpy" intake will increase by 300%
• The Pokécord discord bot will be replaced by R8cord, where you can collect your favorite r8 skins in several different conditions.
• CS:GO 10 Mans will now be 8 mans because 8.
• The website and all our branding will of course change to xB and XenoBumpies.com.
• The TF2 divison will be replaced by a Stardew Valley division. TF2 was chosen because they share similar themes and xB's tf2 servers are on average as interesting as a day of afk fishing in Stardew.
• Jokers render was leaked.
• Cows are stupid, so they will be banned from the servers.
• Bumpy Bumpy.

These are just some of the changes we have planned with our new owner. We're very hopeful for the future and hope you will join us as we reach our true potential as a clan. Thanks

What’s New?

• GMOD - Three new servers are being launched! To test the first two out of three, the servers being Murder, Ultimate Chimera Hunt, and PropHunt/Hide and Seek, Murder and UCH are being put into one event. These servers are all equipped with their own unique scoreboards & playershops, and in addition to that, there will be more content being added to all of the GMod servers in the coming months. Any further questions, thoughts, or suggestions are encouraged and will be addressed. Read below for more information on the first GMod Community Night.

• Mordhau dueling server is now available thanks to @Thrillhouse! 20 slots, and we will be testing Mordhau as weeks go on to incorporate possibly more slots or other servers.  Server address is: 172.107.16.178:28600 Click here for more info!

• Discord is getting some updates in the form of new role colors, perks for nitro boosters, and potentially some staff roster updates. People who decide to support xG with a nitro boost can enjoy a fancy, separated role, and full rgb for their name. We will make an announcement as soon as our server is available to boost!

• CS:GO population events to be announced soon! 

Contests/Raffles

• Rafffles will be once per month from now on at least, open to all members! Expect to see one very soon!
• Contests will be considered for monetary prizes (steam gift card for example) plus titles. Stay tuned!

Community Nights

• For the first of two Community Nights for the launch of their 3 respective servers, Murder and Ultimate Chimera Hunt (multimode in the future) will be packed into one Community Night to start off to test them, with a Prophunt/Hide and Seek duomode event in the future.

  • GMod Community Nights will be more commonplace, rather than it being a special occasion for the launch of any given server. Potential non-cn events are possible for the future if the interest is there.

• The xG Golf It Night, after having turned into an R8 only 10Man was enjoyable and immediately attracted players. It can be expected to see more 10man stipulation nights.

• TF2 Population Events have been reworked, occurring weekly every Monday, starting next week on the 5th. More information can be found here. We’d also like to thank the community for increased population, even before the economy bug, we’ve been experiencing more players due to an increase in the initiative taken by those who enjoy our servers. In other news, the TF2 staff activity requirement has been reinstated with an immediate requirement of 8 hours over 2 weeks minimum.

• CS:GO RPG Surf server is back! It has returned with more upgrades than before. Join at 192.223.30.197. Feel free to suggest maps (for any server) in the map suggestion thread!

• GMOD has made some changes! UCH has been moved to its own dedicated server; the IP is 74.91.113.193:27015. We now have a WarioWare/Sled Build rotation server; the IP is 192.223.26.39:27015! Sled Build hasn’t been tested yet, but WarioWare is working.

CvR or Combine vs Rebels is a light RP heavy TDM focused game mode focused around the world of Half Life. Join either the Rebels or the Combine and join and advance through one of the many divisions and sub-divisions, and maybe even become a CO. Their brand new 32 server is launching on the 24th (today!) at 6pm EST!

The CvR division will be ran slightly differently from our current divisions, but is still under the xG community umbrella. Since this is a bit of a different type of server than we usually host, they will for example have their own sections in forums and their own discords in order to make management easier. Expect a lot of new faces around the community and make sure to be welcoming!
