How very mature of them. Quite the logical course of action when your server is half as populated most of the time as ours.
-
God damn bronies... Also you can bet if it happened in towny people would CRY like no tomorrow.

What's NFO? D:
-
Holy crap congrats everyone!

I dont really see how the committee will change anything. I mean, when you think about it, it's like we cloned aegean several times with slightly different opinions and made the group of them decide if people were going to join or not. As opposed to the one original aegean. If anything it turns our dictatorship that takes into consideration the general public opinion and turns it into an oligarchy that takes into consideration the general public opinion.

Take oreos. Cover them with pillsbury chocolate chunk cookie dough. Bake. Profit.

Lawd at this. So we basically have to give an equal number of chances to everyone as whoever has had the most chances in the past? Good call. From reading the messages, it went way too far. Now, I'm GOING to assume that duke stated his distaste towards xavien's comments. In which case, what the ♥♥♥♥ bud. Just, no. Otherwise, not a lot of sympathy there. Also, we're in a clan together, guys. This is kind of pathetic. On the one hand, from what I understand of the situation, duke you could have assumed that xavien was either failing to troll or just being a moron in the first place. Not much to be utterly offended by. Though the extremity that it reached was ALSO not needed. All over something that really didn't need to go to this extent. It almost seems that we're more prone to getting into disputes with people within the clan than ones with one clan member to a non-member; a depressing lack of unity, brotherhood and comradeship (is that even a word?) within the clan. I'm also going to throw out the fact that people go on the internet and play games to unwind. This kind of crap really isn't helping anyone. Changed my mind. -1. This is all just really stupid. Some sort of action against anyone happening as a result wouldn't even begin to change things.

+1 To what duckii said. Keep drank jr perm'ed.

Might have to do with people getting on a sort of high horse when they get mod. Your personality doesn't have to change one bit once you're mod, assuming you do your job right. That's my take on it. Also the number of people who rush to 100 posts after two months who immediately go for mod adds to the somewhat dampening effect that has sullied the reputation of most mods. It ends up reflecting badly on everyone to an extent when that happens. Hopefully the vouching committee ends that.

So, in light of all the new year, and all the newfags/madfags who will be crying and whining over being freekilled, muted, kicked, while not appreciating what you guys manage to do, I think, before that all happens, you guys deserve a little something :O

Nerds. Go get some sun D: *Goes back to WoW like a loser*

One of the top rebobblers that i've seen. Derp CTs beware. +1 For enforcing/knowing the rules well as a non-member, being active, etc.
-
It's because just because you see someone for yourself doesn't justify not kicking. Unless you've been online literally every second they have been.
-
Got to say, I find it rather amusing and yet sad at the same time how there are people who want to mute mick, joshi and a few others just because their voices are higher pitched, when they actually know the rules and follow them more often than the randoms who come into the server and ♥♥♥♥♥ about it. I dont think we're being supportive of our younger members enough. This provided that said members are actually behaving in servers/forums and not making xG look like a just another shitty clan.
-
Haven't seen any problems. Though im going to throw out the fact that if you need to bump your member submission maybe you should spend more time on the servers. Staying at 0 for nao D:
-
I almost said "Hi! You must be new here." Then I realized who you were. Yeah, things have been going rather downhill in the last months. It's been rather scary being a CT on some days.
-
I ♥♥♥♥ing lol'ed. So hard.
-
UM, Yes. +1. Would be a good mod.

Brb getting popcorn. And SxE people :3

Going to have to agree with this. Assuming someone isnt camping around a corner waiting to kill your whole team, there are plenty of ways to deal with AWPers. You just have to have the experience of dealing with them and know what to do.

I swear I saw a topic like this before. Maybe I even made it. Maybe i'm just going insane. I dunno. ANYWAYS. So, I'd like to take the time to share a bit of insight to new/newish members of xG, and perhaps remind a few more long-time members of a small, unfortunate part of the reality that is jailbreak. Freekilling. Happens. I know, big shocker right? You know, that thing where a CT killed someone they shouldnt have killed? Now, I guess a few people missed the memo, but freekilling is never going to go away. EVER. From what I see, Freekilling can be categorized into three reasons. 1. Intentionally killing someone under circumstances that are against MOTD. 2. Lacking knowledge of the rules, and killing someone. 3. Accidently doing number 1. Now, lets go over each of the generalized reasons. Number 1. Now, people who know the rules are expected to follow them to the letter, otherwise should expect a slaying. If you've been around the server for upwards of a month you've probably seen a mass freekill take place. They're common enough that it isn't the biggest shocker. For whatever reason that they do this, whether through stupidity or otherwise, there will continue to be events such as this that take place. The server is open to the public, and is subject to the actions of any who enter it. Number 2. Okay, you can't honestly say you've ALWAYS known the rules, unless you wrote the MOTD. This happens. again, new people in the server, not always knowing our server's JB rules. Understandable if one or two FKs happen, though we have every right to punish unless people clean their acts up and learn. And once again, that will never change unless the server goes private. Number 3. We're humans. We make mistakes. This one could be anything. Recoil from your gun causing you to kill a few more Ts in a group than you wanted, accidently pressing down on your mouse, whatever. Things happen. Of course, these reasons for FKing happening do NOT make FKing okay or acceptable. At all times players should avoid freekilling at all costs, as JB rounds take time and wasting people's time shouldnt be something we get into a habit of doing. Its also, you know, against the rules. But at the same time, it's going to happen. When you log into the JB server, part of your mind should think "I might get freekilled" You can't escape it. So, the next time you get freekilled, calm your ♥♥♥♥. Tell the offender what they did. They may slay themselves, they may think it was warranted, or they may be cocks and just tell you to F off. Crying and moaning about it isn't going to help anything. Your best bet is to inform, then if they don't care or don't slay, inform an admin or mod to keep an eye on them. Maybe take action, IF you have proof. Starting a rage fest in chat won't do you or anyone else any good. /rantoff

Here's a good suggestion, for barebones proof, that you can EASILY bring next time. From the CS:S main menu. Go to options, controls, advanced, and enable console (If you havent done this already) If console is already enabled, then when ♥♥♥♥ like this happens, take screenshots of what happened. You know, press f5 (I think to save the moment?) Then get it and bring it here. Or screencap the messages in console that appear when you die, as well as the chat that happens as a result. Right now, unless someone comes forward, this thread is going to be closed due to NO evidence. If you REALLY want this guy to be banned, you should at least take some initiative and prove he is worthy of a ban by bringing proof.
