I am trying to wrap my head around this. Not because you are requesting permission to join, but I get the impression this is going to turn into your unban request thread. Which kinda scares me. I mean, ideally you would try to make joining a little more off the record, to avoid a sea of -1's and the drama that always comes with them. Not sure how you'd go about doing that, and I haven't known that to happen to anyone beforehand. I also agree that it feels a little early. I think you'd get a way better response if you waited a little longer and proved yourself to more people.

I love the drama that surrounds and circulates from unban requests for people who were permed. Hot dayum.

I think the majority of you should grow some balls and stand by your original decisions. Are we going to actually ban him or not? Frankly if you twats think that we should just keep giving this douche more chances we should just make it so he's immune to bans of any kind and save you the trouble of having changes of heart for the worst. Like pyro said, I dont want to hear you people bitching about how he should be banned when you got him unbanned for the eighth or ninth time. Grow a backbone and learn when to say no. There are some people who will NOT provide the community anything positive with their presence, and should not be let back in. I lol'ed at the people who said that he probably changed from boot camp and that was a legitimate decision. Personally I think that stands similar grounds with the reasoning Daz tried to give for his ridiculous behaviour, in which case we should unban Daz first. (Damn ninja EZKill.) I also lol'ed at the people who said everyone deserves a second chance. He's been permed how many times? Learn to count. This also sheds some light on the nature of other unban requests and how some people regard them, and how much leniency they give, sometimes in the most ludicrous of places. What that light is, more specifically? It's up to interpretation. Part of what I can see is this: I think it's pathetic that people who have made unban threads, been unbanned, gotten banned again, and repeated this cycle several times have pretty much set the norm. People think "Well, neteX got over 5 chances, so lets be fair and give everyone else 5 chances!" Except that doesn't always happen. Some people get banned once and never get unbanned, while others who continuously do wrong get unbanned and often dont learn their lesson. Gotta love the logic in that. So, in short, leaving this at a 0. I don't at all agree with unbanning him, but I am looking forward to saying 'I told you so". I think i'll be more surprised if he HAS changed, but I suppose we'll see what happens in the end.

I can definitely recall saying I was afraid of change. Also, often when a person with little to no experience calls warden, they get shouted down and someone else gets it. If someone just had to type -warden and became warden and people had to obey their orders, you'd have a greater chance of a warden who doesn't know the rules actually having power over the situation. Hence why mass freekills would be more likely to happen IF THAT CHANGE TOOK PLACE than they do right now.

I can see that causing problems. Newfags come in and type it and have no clue what they are doing, mass freekills ensue. I think it should be a random rotation. CTs that want to be warden type -warden and then are randomly selected. Those that have been selected won't be chosen until the others have gone at least once.

Seems to me like it'd be more or less an equal amount of work. All we'd need to do is check member apps and add those who are in to the roster, similar to how a mod would check the roster to see if someone wearing the tag is in xG or not. I wont +1 or -1 this though. I think no matter what we go with it will have problems of sorts anyways.

Duckii Jr....Hudson Jr...Otherworldy...all underaged when they became mods, im pretty sure. Age requirement seems to be, at this point, a rather illegitimate excuse to -1, other than it personally annoys you.

*Hugz* :D +1. This guy's gotten a lot of crap from both current members and random peeps, and he sticking with it. The fact that he hasn't given up or quit xG out of spite towards a lack of acceptance and fun-poking pretty much proves his loyalty.

I cant justify a +1 or -1 without proof, even though I've seen him do this. Also I can recall Beaver having to ask for someone to help sort this guy out once before.

Being the immature and irresponsible person that I am, I like to blame other people for the problems that I see in life and ignore any hand that I may have had in them. And so it is that I have to ask... Which is it? Will be? Or may be? Confused? I'm talking about the JB MOTD. There are a lot of rules in the MOTD that state a person WILL be slayed, Will be teambanned, and im a little concerned about the certainty behind some of these rules and as to how to-the-letter they are expected to be followed. My favourite example of uncertainty is the part about how only the warden is allowed to open the cells and that an offender to this may be slayed or team banned at the warden's request. Now, on the surface i'd think this means that if someone does it for the first time, they are slayed, and if they do it many times in a row, they may be team banned for an hour or a day, rather that being completely ignored altogether. From what I see, I think the implication is that it's more or less if people feel like slaying/teambanning people, then it will happen. When I read the MOTD, I seem to read "Must be slayed or teambanned" while most others seem to read it as "May be teambanned if you feel like it", and by having it written as "Will be" Leans more towards the former being more likely. This then comes as a dissapointment when it doesn't always happen. So to sum it all up, I think that the extremity behind the way the rules are written needs to be changed to either indicate a more severe or more lax treatment towards rule breaking.

Actually we can. Mods just have to enforce a rule thats been in MOTD for a considerably long time.

Still curious what happened to the enforcement of the "Must have a mature voice on CT" rule in MOTD. Since it basically doesn't exist. That would be the way to more or less fix it from time to time; to remove people who don't have mature voices and people who consistently don't use their mics in round and never call warden.

Im going to come out and say it now....I've never been to Dennys. *Braces for impact* BUTBUTBUT i've been to some places that serve some delicious as fuck breakfasts. And now I feel obligated to share one such a place with all of you (More so my fellow Canadians, unless you live further north in the States and enjoy travelling.)
