It isn't the responsibility of Staff to explain rules that are publicly made available both on forums as well as at the beginning of each round. If a player chooses to ignore reading the rules of which a lot of time was put into, they are liable for whatever slip-ups they do.
 
That said, Staff should also help out whenever given the chance as their job is to better the Servers and maintain order. It isn't much to just say "If first reaction is said, the red who does it first dies. If last reaction is said, the last person to do it dies." All in all, not much can be done in terms of punishment in this particular case. Maybe a reminder to the Staff that they should try to help out others, even if the questions are sometimes frivolous.

So its about time I take a break from being Division Manager. I've held the position for a long long long time, and to be honest I really need a break. It'll be great to not have to worry about anything server side, I can just get on and play without worrying about answering questions or attending to issues that detract from the experience. To be honest that one of the smallest things that are leading me to step down though, because I do enjoy all of the stuff that comes with being DM, but I just want time where I don't have to worry about trying to get on the server to be active. Besides that, there are somethings I disagree on at the moment and really feel its in the best interest for all that I step down.
 
Now, this isn't a permanent step down.. at least thats not the plan. I've already talked to Dr. Lee about it as well as let the CL's know, but I have to goal in mind of just leaving the position for a brief period of time, at least until I am ready to return.
 
I need to stress this isn't a situation in which I'm leaving just because I feel like it and know I can return when I want. There are many reasons guiding me towards this decision to temporarily leave, and like I said, its in the best interest of all if I leave and not go AWOL again.
 
I will remain a CL as I will still look around the forums and stay in contact with those whom I need to be in contact with. I believe its more crucial to stay a CL.. again for a variety of reasons that I won't discuss.
 
But yeah... its been fun and I'll maybe pop on the server every other day or so, but trust me when I say I need a break especially if things in xG turn the way I hope they will in the coming months(end with a cliffhanger, why not?).

I don't see why you people are +1ing, all the screenshot shows is him typing "!slay @all", on the MG map lego. The picture is also from the previous round, and didn't show what was going on at the time of him slaying all. So there could clearly be a legit reason; and as no one seems to remember what happened then no one has the right to +1 since they have nothing to really support their claim of him abusing. Besides, on the map MG lego the soccer ball can glitch, people can be AFK on the longjump, someone could have suicided if they won the map choice. There is plenty of reasons as to why he could have slayed all. -1

when it comes to a decision of who's fun is more important. you have to determine it based on this: Who is actively playing the map/game/mode the correct way? What does one gain and the other lose in both situations of them getting their fun?
 
Just from the first 2 questions: Aaron is playing the map correctly and surfing, you are kind of by being in jail. you failed your surf but are in jail.
 
In the case of you suiciding, you gain the ability to attempt surf again, and probably fail if you are already being put in jail. he loses time spent surfing trying to complete the map, and also loses progress.
 
In the case of you not crying about being in jail: you lose the time it takes for him to complete the surf, or eventually fall in jail and battle it out (or just kill you if you are afk)
He does not lose time spent surfing, and he does not lose progress, he instead gets to complete the surf or get as far as he can.
 
The only case where suiciding would be alright in this scenario would be if he was purposely delaying to troll you (keep in mind that purposely delaying does not mean stopping on a point and climbing the ramp, in order to use long jump to gain some speed)
 
In this specific case of you being the only 1 alive, and he trying to surf, it would never be right to suicide just because you fell in jail, last i checked you are only put in spec when afk in spawn, so going afk to get a drink is not a problem, and if you really are going to complain "what if he kills me when i am getting the drink" then type +left in console.

I don't get how someone who just paid for mod would forget something like doing the command to slay@all. I mean ask any staff member if they've slayed@all for whatever reason and I bet they still remember why and when. The only reason I'd think someone would forget something like that would be that they did it to just do it and or did it by accident so they don't wanna talk about it. I dont know but thats my opinion.

Well here is my take on it. So Bonk's suicide bind is #explosivediarrhea. The map they're playing on is some minigames map as im sure you're all aware of. Now keep in mind i wasn't there and slaying @all is never to be used. How this specific map works is that all players spawn and the first one to get to the center will be automatically teleported to another room where they will choose one of the many minigames that are on the map to play.
1) They will pick the game and everything will go smoothly, they'll do that chosen event for that round.
2) The person chosen will slay themselves just to troll the entire server, and make them wait 5 minutes for the round to restart. Now imo it looked like bonk mightve actually done this as he slayed himself right before papercreeper slayed @all.
