mrnutty12 got a reaction from Goblins in Tf2 Promo/demo Discussion Thread
I assumed we would be having a talk with don before demoting as well.
And Tatost, yeah I could see him as a mod, though I'd keep an eye on him.

Yeah, I have first hand experience with Don on duty and he messes around much more than he actually does his job. I mean, he does do it occasionally, but a lot of his command use is for not staff related things.

I can agree with that.
I've had Blank tell me before that Don didn't really pay attention to anyone breaking rules on the surf server. He was just using commands for fun.

You really don't need to make a thread about going inactive for a few days, specifically if you are a member.
I'd recommend creating inactivity-threads just if you need to take an extended amount of time off (e.g 1-4+ weeks).

I gotta say, most of the stuff in that thread isn't really relevant or reasonable. I certainly don't expect CS:GO staff to follow this.
This kind of thing is just bizzare. Not every case is the same and they should definitely not be treated the same. I get this is probably meant to address favoritism, but it just doesn't realistically make sense.
I mean, every punishment is because someone broke the rules.
The only thing there that I can sorta agree with is the bans for hacking - evidence is always good, especially in the case of a ban protest, and in most cases staff asks for a second opinion if someone's cheating anyways (unless its like spinbotting or name-change hacks, which is obvious).
Exactly my thoughts on this. We don't promote just anyone to staff, and we certainly don't promote people who wouldn't be able to understand what is acceptable punishments.

Nutty failed to take a demo (not calling him out or anything, but he did).
There's no evidence against @Gsquared300 and his account looks pretty legit as well from what I could gather.
I'd say unban him.

Just throwing this out there since it's becoming increasingly common for Staff to ban players for hacks without any evidence toward it (both in CS:GO and TF2). Not sure if this is due to a lack of knowledge (in regards to the Admin Handbook) or failure to uphold the proper guidelines when dealing with bans of any sort.
Not calling the Staff Member in question out or anything so much as I am making it aware that unless there was some change or alteration to how Staff should be carrying out bans, things have been slipping quite a bit. Mind you, this is all from the perspective of a Member, and as such if there were changes then I apologize in advance.

mrnutty12 got a reaction from Osiris in Gsquared300 - Team Fortress 2
Hmm, I don't just ban people for no reason, especially when it comes to aimbots. However, I don't keep a video log of literally everyone I ban (lord knows how much memory that would take) so it is hard to produce video evidence, but I am usually pretty darn sure people are not playing legit when I ban them for aimbot.
Now, before I ban someone I look for common tropes of aimbots, and I watch until I witness something that would be most telling that the player has something fishy going on. So if I did ban you for it I must have seen something quite obvious to myself as illegitimate playing, however I don't have the demo files on hand to re-verify so my vote remains neutral on unbanning.
EDIT: Seems like I need to take an ol' trip down to the admin handbook...

You were banned on October 8, 2016. Here is the ban for anyone who is curious: Xeno Gamers
@mrnutty12 is the one who banned you.
What is he going to do, just ask you if you're using an aimbot? No, he won't. Nutty seemed to go off of his judgement.
He will respond with his reasoning soon.

I haven't heard anything about Jon and his PC. Last time I talked to him, he said he was getting it soon.
As for promo suggestions, I don't have any. It doesn't seem like there is really any good candidates out there.

We are not handing out channels rofl, a few members have paid 25 dollars for channels and we aren't going to be unfair to them.

mrnutty12 reacted to realBelloWaldi in Tgh Map Requests
Yeah, never mind. I can't add maps anymore without the server crashing for some reason.
I'll have to talk to @Rhododendron or @Aegean when I get the time (so probably Friday).
I don't know if it's just me missing something really obvious or something NFO-related.

It isn't that we couldn't edit the area(s) in question out, I can perfectly do that. It has more to do with custom textures (if they are there) and decompiling messiness, however theoretically it is possible to fix if I have (all of the) texture files relevant to the map and enough time to re clean it up from the decompiling process.

mrnutty12 reacted to Goblins in Tgh Map Requests
Not unless we alter the map ourselves (which we can't technically do I believe), or contact the map creator.

This is going to be a very lengthy post concerning older maps that were removed because of problems or other reasons. I'm going to go over how we can fix them/why they should be re-added.
First we have Minecraft_neon, the map was removed because it would never exit pre-round therefore leaving the advanced infinite ammo on. I've already talked to @Bello about getting it re-added, now our problem is that we can't even get the map to load on TGH.
Here a link to the map, which I ripped off my old computer and uploaded to google drive:
trade_minecraft_neon_v65_xmas.bsp
Now I'm going to go over Trade_abstract_augemented. The map was removed because extremely loud music that could be spammed by noclipping into a "music room" and hitting buttons. There are two ways we could go about re-adding this map, that being disabling the music or making a map-specific rule for even using the music on the map. This is an old map that many people would like to see back, and I don't see a problem with re-adding it since there's already maps that require constant moderation, like Frantic Factory.
Here's a link to the map: trade_abstract_augemented (Team Fortress 2 > Maps > Trade) - GAMEBANANA
The Rogueport map was removed because of really bad issues with bodyblocking, and for some reason spawncamp (which hasn't stopped us from removing other maps before, so why for that reason?). I don't see why Rogueport was removed for those reasons, Frantic and Rusty_bucket already have a problem with bodyblocking, so why remove Rogueport?
Here's a link to Rogueport: Steam Workshop :: Rogueport
Trade_Minecraft_fishpond was removed out of the blue. I can't really see/find a reason on why this map disappeared, I actually thought it was on the map list until recently. I do really miss this map, and I don't see a problem with having it in the rotation, please re-add this.

Ctf_the_lava_giant_b2 was removed because people dislike that it was an objective map. Now that TGH has a plugin for disabling objectives, I don't see why we didn't re-add this, probably because it was forgotten or something. I enjoy this map and personally would like to see it re-added.
Link to Lava_giant: ctf_the_lava_giant_b2 (Team Fortress 2 > Maps > Capture the Flag) - GAMEBANANA
Anyway, just a few map suggestions to break the staleness that I've been feeling with TGH as of late, hope to hear some feedback from you guys.

Uuuuuh, i really don't wanna derail this mod submission, if you're really interested in discussing this, start a thread in the tf2 section or a private convo with us.
As for the mod submission, I'll remain neutral.
