Do you want to connect your PS2 to your laptop in order to use your laptop as the screen, or do you want to play your PS2 games on your laptop with a PS2 controller?

 

Both can be done, however you'll most likely need to purchase components that you probably won't have on you first hand. If you want to play your PS2 games on your laptop, then [as previously mentioned] your best bet is to just run an emulator on it. ROMs and emulators are relatively free and easy to find.

 

As for using a PS2 controller on your laptop, you'll have to buy an adapter that will convert the weird butt PS2 plugin to a USB. Though to be perfectly honest, it would be easier to use either a PS3/PS4 or Xbox 360/one controller since all it requires is the usual micro/mini USB to standard USB plugin.
