Like I said in a shoutbox convo we had a few nights ago, I don't have a PC capable of running CS:S right now. (IT SUCKS YES I KNOW)
But I really would like to see the CS:S xG community grow again, so I'd love to help anyway I can.

Hey all, the title is exactly what this post is all about. For those of you who are not aware, the CS:S Servers are in bad shape. Like, bad. Very bad. So bad, that if you were to compare it to George Thorogood's "
", it would sound like " ". 
For the moment, this thread is merely a proposal and nothing solid will be happening just yet. What I (or rather, the CS:S Division) hope to achieve is a regularly scheduled time in which Players/Members can know without a doubt that someone will be on. It is as simple as that, no hook or hidden agenda. It will be during a time of the day (the community will agree on) every day until Servers see a noticeable improvement.
 
Now, the whole idea behind this is that (as I mentioned) Players will know when the Server is populated and will therefore be more likely to hop on and play a few rounds. After a period of time, eventually it will become the norm and hopefully result in a group of regulars who play during that time frame daily.
 
This is all just a theory though, but at this point there is no reason not to try. For the time being, this thread will act as a simple poll. I will remind those that this will require dedication, which may be asking a lot. Imagine, if you will, a weight lifter ignoring leg day. This average Joe then gets into a habit of not doing it, and what do we end up with?

My point is that this is something that will require diligence, patience, and dedication. You will have to commit to getting on at that time. You don't even have to be a CT, hell, you could be that T who just tries to rebel each round even if the chances are slim. The point being that so long as there are numbers (and CTs who don't drone on with repetitive cell orders and mix things up) it will draw attention.
 
As cliché as this sounds, united we are stronger than a single unit. I will try my best to get on at whatever time it is (should this plan go through), and I'm hoping you all will as well.

We're going to be putting a lot of effort to keep CS:S around and populated... my goal is to accomplish everything on this list by the stated due date, although it relies on bleed and nomulous as well.
 
As of today, this list is very tentative and has only been shown to Cristo and Dr. Lee, so I can't say that it can or all will be done, but it damn well will if there is a way. Due dates may change once I can get bleed and nomulous onto this, but I will do my best not to.
 
 
 
Here is a list of stuff I want to accomplish though as well as a tentative schedule of when they must be completed by:

1. Perform bomb fixes, including changing price of large bomb and overall making them more balanced. (Aug 17) Completed
2. Rewrite rules/Talk with staff members about where to draw the line (In other words, loosen up the reins a little to have some fun) (Aug 18) In progress
3. Polish Warden Plugin (Aug 21) Completed
4. Change the Terrorists/Prison Guards win screen (Aug 21) In progress
5. Change intro and last ct music (Aug 28) Not completed
6. Edit Map rotation, narrow it down to <15. (Aug 28) Not completed
 
September
1. Hub (Sept 12) Not completed
2. Find a way to have an intro screen or something nice, or just motd coming up all the time (not the broken shit it always has been) (Sept 20) Not completed
3. Skins (Sept 25) Not completed
4. Update LR (Maybe add a new game, or a few...) (Sept 30) Not completed

Source auto-banned me for auto-fire. Apperantly, one of the keys on my new keyboard has a function of spamming left-click repeatedly. I disabled it.

So recently I've been over the top with my disrespect and it's grown to a problem that even I realize. I just want to get this out there that I will do my best to change this and become a better member of the community too stop conflicts between me, and other members.

There is some money to be made in livestreaming. The only problem is nobody watches CS:S. There's a slightly larger audience for CS:GO, but mainly (on twitch, at least) people love watching League.
Maybe if we could make a team of xG members that all share a twitch.tv account and can rotate between some popular games (LoL, SC2, CS:GO, or the sort) we could generate some revenue (or even donations!) that would all go toward the clan.
 
I'd be up for streaming some League for the good of xG.
