  1. I let two 15-year-olds in because they had already waited long enough (one donated when he was 14) and they have proven to be very mature and have a high activity time on the servers. I consulted with Scoot, the DMs, and Kbraszzle before hand and they were okay with it. I don't think we should lower the age limit, but I agree with Owl. Exceptions should be made on a case by case basis.
  2. He is 16. Active on JB1, JB2, Trade, and Saxton. +1 A: 7/10 M: 8/10
  3. K. DONT TAG ME, FUK MY FEELZ </3 Active on JB and pkmn trade. Can't comment on maturity. +1 A: 8/10 M: ?/10

  5. Oh, you were in SNG in the past. I'll remove your ban as it seems you aren't causing any trouble, and it was just a wide-blanket group ban.
  6. By the way, his name in game is ElectroSven, Sven, or An Old Salt. As everyone probably knows, I was in SNG; however, I don't recall him ever being part of the trolling so I don't see a problem with him joining. Anyway still, I made him a deal that if he didn't cause any problems until December (which he didn't), that he would be given the green light to apply. He's been a fun presence on the servers (JB1, JB2, Saxton, and possibly trade?). Pretty mature for the most part, and you can't even question his activeness. A: 10/10 M: 8/10 @Hachi @BelloWaldi @Matsi @Janal @NotKoala @Anyoneelsewhoplaysjailbreak Edit: I FORGOT THE +1, WOW
  7. Perm'd. He knew what he was doing, considering he did this multiple times. -Closed
  8. Also, what level of donator are you?
  9. Yeah, I'll admit. It's just more work, so we'll just keep it the way it is. If you're a mod, send a steam message to a higher up and we can change a ban if you need it.
  10. Last time I checked, we're done with the paid staff. We had a trial run and it was an absolute failure. Nom said that it was up to the DLs of the divisions to decide whether or not we wanted to allow for paid staff. Everyone else said no, sooo. Also, tbh, I don't know if we really need this. You guys are right in saying they could just do "99999999999". Either that or you can just ban someone, send a steam message to a higher up, and ask them to change it to a perm. We don't bite :)
  11. It's hard when the suggestions are scattered across multiple threads and tons of posts.
  12. Jesus, this thread is a mess. @Bone Play points is not supported by the author anymore. There is no cvar to restrict it for teams. :( @NitNat and @Blizzard Make a master list for me (in one post) so I can just go down the line and remove/add stuff. If you want something added, I need a link pls. If you want something removed, tell me the name. FF2 is really time-consuming, so I can't search through the 40 threads we have for suggestions :/
  13. Yeah, I can see your frustration. I would love to give the ability to create perms to some of our more experienced mods (the ones that have been around for like a year or more and are active) because you guys obviously know what you are doing. However, Moosty and Scoot are also right, it's our entry level position. This is where the next part comes in. Chicken and I were talking, and he came up with a really good idea that I think will compromise with both sides. We can create a new rank! It will be called "Probationary Mod". We can keep people who are new and inexperienced here, and then have the regular mod position as a step up (and we can give them perma powers). Also, we could maybe give the mod position some new commands (possibly in the future?) to spice it up. What do you guys think? Also, Rhodo, is this acceptable? @metalslug53 @Moosty @Rejects @kbraszzz @Rhododendron Would you use something like this, @Snackbar ?
  14. I've changed the plugin to the redux version. I just wanted to let you know that ZF is not maintained by the author anymore. The last update that any of the plugins have had was in 2013. I hope this plugin will fix it for you, if not, there is not much we can do :(. Please post back if you notice any more problems. I may be able to fix some of them.
  15. Complete and utter bullshit, lmao. "He's not marked." >Caution >18 banned friends >obviously a scammer network Tips to help everyone: Turn on steam guard email confirmation so valve can get your items back in case this happens again ALWAYS CHECK STEAMREP AND USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN TRADING ITEMS OF HIGH VALUE Never use a friend as a middleman, get a steamrep middleman to hold the items in "escrow". If it sounds too good to be true, back out.
  16. The steam id is their profile link (or if you are really pro, you can go to www.steamidfinder.com and input their profile link to get their actual steam id). Also, we need physical, tangible evidence.
  17. You already said this, gg
  18. I don't ban people for the "slightest disrespect", lmao. If they're a major problem, I'll mute them or w/e. However, if they are breaking multiple rules (along with disrespecting staff), then I will ban them and add that as a supplemental reason. Like the point of this thread, I actually try to talk to people and resolve a situation WITHOUT having to resort to punishment. However, some people already have their minds set and do not want to calm down or change. I can see the bans I've implemented myself. If you're talking about the bans from like 2012, then yes. There are a few about admin disrespect, but that was back when I was younger, only a mod, and we were told to ban people who acted like that. Nearly all of my bans in the past 5-7 months (when I rejoined) have been for other reasons (ban requests, mass freekill, spamming, porn sprays, etc.) There are a few where it was added as a supplemental reason (like they were treating other lower staff poorly). Banning isn't the first tool I resort to. I actually try to talk to people. ----------------------------------------------- Now, can we please get back on topic? The whole point of this thread was to tell people to talk to one another and if they don't, we're going to make some changes. That's it.
  19. I don't think you understand what this thread is about. This is about our members, staff, ex-staff, etc. making up stuff about people or hearing something incorrectly and spreading it around. Then it gets back to the people (because no one will talk to anyone), and we have another fight on our hands that is completely pointless. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As for the other things you stated: There's a level of admin tolerance, obviously some people have more. I can't say about the forums, but we have the censorship because I believe Google docks us ad money if we have cursing on the forums. The death threats rule was originally for those people who got so angry that they would threaten someone's life. (ex: I'm going to kill you and your family.) I don't know how it's spread to jokes like "kill urself" or other things. Admin disrespect? I have yet to see a ban so far about this. If you're talking about how we talk about a simple rule like "don't gun glitch" or "use !guard to join blue" and we have to talk to the person 30 times, yet they ignore us. Of course we are going to ban them. The zero tolerance policy is for our OWN members/staff. They should know better than to start the petty-ante drama bullshit (we're back to telephone again). Use your words and talk to the person. As for the unnecessary rules, we have two groups in xG. Those who need everything in writing, and those who have common sense. I'm leaning towards LESS rules and more common sense. However, it seems most people need everything in writing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If staff are going to have a problem with speaking to people, and spreading drama (instead of shutting it down right there like I've told them in the past), then there will have to be some changes. We are at an impasse. Either the staff will change, or we will change the staff :) TL;DR - You really should read it. We're talking about the people starting the drama and spreading it around (i.e staff and members). If they won't change, the staff roster will change.
  20. Lmao. "This is the internet" and "this is xG" are not valid excuses. That's like killing someone and going "this is North Korea". Like what? Still doesn't make it okay. We may be on the internet, but it's our corner of the internet. Go take your drama elsewhere. I agree with Scoot on the zero tolerance policy. It's tiring and time consuming to solve disputes caused by the ole' xG telephone. (Please note this applies to the TF2 servers, TF2 forums, and TF2 members in TS)

  22. Yes, please. Use your words and talk to the person. There is not enough time in the day for us to sort these complaints out. Rule of thumb. Unless you hear something DIRECTLY from a person, you shouldn't believe it (we're back to xG telephone again).
