lmao it's definitely got those kinds of things. Quick TL;DR of the entire game is pretty straightforward: main character meets/gets special thing and the entire story develops around special thing. Companions made as the story progresses. Ultimate goal is to essentially reach "Elysium."
As promised, as of right now I am stepping down from Division Manager of the MC server.
Here's why:
1) I feel like I haven't done a good enough job on the MC server. It was pushed back a number of times and I feel I'm unfit and unworthy of the position.
2) When you haven't spoken to your friends in over a month you know there's a problem, when you're putting of your little brother's birthday party you know there's a problem.
3) I need to focus more on school, I'd like to get my grades up to straight A's if I want to get into a good college.
4) I've become disconnected from the xG community because of all the time I've spent alone configuring the MC server, I miss my old TF2 friends like @Natsu, @Spoopy, @shwash @ClassicGamer64 @ael_fjordling @Krampus and more (sorry if I forget to acknowledge you).
5) With all due respect to @Amymaniac, @XHina_sanX, @Aegean, and @Rhododendron, I didn't sign up to almost single-handedly create a faction server from the ground up. I applied for DM to help fix some bugs that had been on the towny server and put in some new features like voting. I also didn't sign up for the amount of disrespect I've received from some players.
6) I've accomplished what I've set out to do. I added voting and fixed the bugs which were annoying me back when the server was still on towny.
Lastly, I take full responsibility for whatever complaints anyone might have for the slowed release of the server or any bugs they may've found during the release day. I've done my best to fix whatever people have told me about (see the update thread), but this is the end of my service. If you want to rage, disrespect me, or tell me what terrible job I did, go right ahead, this is a good thread to do it on.
You may be wondering...where have I been for the past few months? Well... I’ve been resting and dealing with wrapping up college and getting stuff prepped for my Externship to CSP Technician at the Hospital (not sure when that will start though) as well as dealing with Peak Season at Amazon Logistics (which is coming to a close very soon!)
My shifts have been going back and fourth in time so my sleep schedule was pretty messed up for the past few months.
When will I be back?
At the moment; I am going to estimate around the middle of January 2018.
Now this isn’t saying my activity will be immediately back to a normal “20+ hour” rate but it will definitely increase over-time.
I still wish to moderate for the TF2 servers so I will definitely be doing my best to get my activity up to hopefully be able to regain my staff position when the opportunity is available.
I have missed you all and look forward to hanging out with you guys in the very near future.

Initial Thoughts:
When I first started the game, my first thought was that it was an improvement over the first iteration of Xenoblade- and it is! As always, the voice lines were sort of “off,” but as far as Xenoblade goes, voice lines are usually always pretty “off” anyways. The tutorial messages kept popping up for about 18 hours of game play, which kind of put me off at first, but I realized that they were pretty important tips about how to use the mechanics of the game effectively. They weren’t too long, either.
Game play and Story:
The graphics and battle systems were greatly improved and the battle system became a lot easier to understand (for the most part). The story is long, just like the last game, but it is filled with all sorts of things. There’s a bit of a problem with how high level enemies are placed in some areas, though. Sometimes, you’ll be walking about, killing the low level enemies to level up and then a level 99 enemy comes out of nowhere and one shots you. Otherwise, the battle system feels nice and complex.
Another thing, walking to each area on the map is a bit time consuming; makes me wish for an item that could increase the overworld movement speed. Another nitpick is the fact that many of the menus and item lists are hell to sort through and could use some settings and options to better organize them. However, with how large each portion of the world is, there’s a lot to explore. But, exploring isn’t always very fun, as some areas are hard to get to without somehow catching a sliver of land that leads to it some way back the way you came.
Now let’s talk about the quests. There’s three types of quests: Story Quests that advanced the story, Normal Quests that give the party EXP, gold and items for completing them, and Blade Quests which are unique to certain rare blades that you summon over the course of the game from Core Crystals- completely RNG! The most interesting quests are the Blade Quests, as they really explore into their respective Blades’ character and personality. Out of the few that I have managed to uncover, I really enjoyed completing the Blade quests for Electra and Boreas. So as some of you know, I got my new computer like 2 weeks ago. Come to find out that it doesn't have built in wifi. So I needed a wifi stick, and I got an early Christmas present. So I am officially back on the servers now!
Reasons why Edventures was removed: Loud, annoying, terrible layout, an incredibly glitchy balloon.
There's literally no reason to add it back, it's terrible and incites the worst out of people. I knew I would hate the map the moment there were at least 5 people on mic screaming "Kevin!".
Unfortunately, I only remember being told about that whole "alternate account racism" thing but don't exactly remember what happened or if it was even really his alt. The last ban you got for disrespect or "trolling" was last year, and that was only a day. Don't exactly understand the jump to a month ban, even if he had older bans for longer. As for Zack, I do know he's quite the toxic guy when he is on the server. I am honestly surprised in you guys only giving him a gag instead of a ban as well. From what I read there was a warning and it stopped there, so I don't exactly know why you guys did jump to a ban as quickly as you did without even kicking him beforehand. I do feel as though there is some unfairness in how the situation was handled, even if Sylux has a "history", Zack should be punished exactly the same.
+1 to drop the ban to at least a week, if not completely.

Alright, first things first, Sylux you've been a troublemaker for as long as I can remember. If you look at your ban history, you have bans from several old staff members, first of which dates back to 2014. You clearly haven't seemed to have caught on within those 3 years, we've been very lenient on you with bans from the looks of it. -1 for unban, when people ask you to stop using binds for the sole purpose of agitating them, then have some respect and knock it off. Now I could be completely wrong, I haven't actually been on the server with you for a long time, so you may have improved, may not have. Maybe cool it on the servers a little bit and stop being so passive aggressive towards people, even if the things you say are just whatever to you some other people could take it the wrong way.
Now on the situation of Zack, if what you say is true then there's definite favoritism going on in terms of him not being punished in the same way you have been. I get Zack hasn't been banned before, but if hes gonna be on the server stirring up problems with people and the mutes clearly aren't doing anything to help, then something needs to change.
We get that Vexx is a DL and you are an admin and I have utmost respect for that, but if there is literally no proof at all of these conversations/research then we can't base your claims as a root for punishment, or at least we SHOULDN'T.. As in the case of an actual court, unless there is evidence then nothing will happen and you lose the case, and some of the things you say could be considered slander. Now I know this isn't court, but doesn't this feel a little onesided? I would love to take your guys' word for it, but that would be unfair, as much as I'd hate to say it.

Alright so, I had the displeasure of joining the server due to your valid calladmin, only to nearly immediately hear you make multiple and very noticeable remarks to other players telling them to kill themselves. I merely warned you at first that such disrespectful attitude to others was very much against our server rules, directing you to the motd when you claimed there was no such description in the rules.
I then went to try and sort out and handle the various issue that were occurring, during which you constantly attempted to claim your statements of telling people to kill themselves was in fact not disrespectful, which I told you a good half a dozen times over was the opposite of the case. Plain and simple, telling someone to actually kill themselves or otherwise issue death threats to others is not, and never has been, tolerated in the slightest. Instead of accepting this you choose to attempt to argue to that such behavior was just fine and did not fall under the concept of disrespect to every extent you could, refusing to cease what was a very mute point in an argument that had no reason to exist and only could stir more issues. Your refusal to cease after several minutes despite multiple explanations is what resulted in you finally getting muted, and your continued comments and further disrespect is what resulted in you getting gagged.

okay i figured out i dont have enough money to keep myself alive so im working full time now 10 - 6 mon - fri hopefully i will keep myself alive! not taking a break or leaving but my overall activity will be a bit lower. still gonna be as active as i can on the weekends and such.
we all know it's my first day of 3rd grade and im just making this thread so nobody suspects me of being a 9 year old child. but yeah im working full time at a fucking yarn store now.
So i've been thinking about this for awhile and there are many reasons for it.
First off, my biggest problem is how disgruntled, the TF2 xG community is. I'm not naming names because i don't want to cause shit or belittle anyone in particular because it's everyone in the TF2 div's fault, mine included for not doing a better job at trying to mitigate these situations. It's just the sad state of affairs this community is and frankly i'm tired of it. Everyone is at each other's throats with constant bull shit flung from both sides. This is also especially true in the staff community. Everyone has a clique and if you don't like someone they will try and do shit in their powers to get people they don't like demoted or promoted. I've heard ridiculous bull shit like people going on alt accounts just to instigate staff with the hopes of having them caught handling a situation poorly just for evidence to get them demoted. No one wants to help their fellow admin or mod. I'm not saying you have to be their friend or even like them for that matter, but to do some lowly bull shit like cut evidence up to make someone look bad or just being hypocrites and i'm seeing it is dragging into other divisions too and i'm really just getting tired of it. i was hoping @Aegean would make a thread about the state of the community of the tf2 division but that hasn't been created yet. If you're glad to see me demoted then fine. But it shouldn't be a good thing that a staff member is stepping down nor should it be a good thing that they were demoted. People in this clan go out of their way to not help moderators especially with their job on the line and it's pretty fucked. It also doesn't help that there is always a fucking problem. It feels like at least once a week there is this massive shit storm where it's nothing but shit flinging or passive aggressive comments, discord rants and so on. You might be thinking, well you will encounter this any where. That's true to an extent but for god sakes people. This is a video community, not some corporate business where you gotta step all over people to get to the top or some cliche shit like that.
Second, school. I'm leaving this sunday for school and will probaby too busy to moderate when trying to balance a social life, university and so on.
Third, Tf2 just isn't really fun anymore. i'm struggling to just get the hours to justify my admin powers and with this TF2 update not coming out to help light some sort of interest in this game it's becoming more and more of a pain. I'm sure many of you playing tf2 right now can understand how i'm feeling about how slow this update progress has been as i'm sure many of you have displayed as well.
Anyway, thats it, i'm stepping down. I will consider coming back in the future however as of right now, with school, little interest in tf2, and just the tf2 division as a whole, i think its my time to step down. Hope the tf2 divison gets their stuff together and i hope all of the mods/admins do a great job. Peace. i will probably still play tf2 every now and again.

With new clocktown (v1) being added and old clocktown (b2a) being removed, there have been many players with sound errors. This thread will serve to help fix issues as best as possible. You will have to fix it client side-- on your own.
The first step is to locate your tf file. This file should be located in:
The next step is to delete all the files under the search "sound.cache."
Delete all sound.cache files.
Then, in TF2, restart your sound.
Do snd_restart in console in game.
These steps should fix existing sound issues with the map. If these steps do not work, then...
Repeat the steps a few times.
If this does not work, exit TF2 and repeat the steps.
If doing all of the above does not work, contact Vexx or myself as we have direct, open contact with the map devs.
I'm not really sure what all to say here as I don't normally pay attention to things that aren't happening outside my window, but as many people likely know Texas is currently being hit by the devastating hurricane Harvey. I won't bore with too many details (it would only take a simple google search to get plenty of such) but in short the damage and especially the flooding being caused by this storm, especially in the Houston metropolitan area, is incredibly devastating.
Tens of thousands are being affected right now and many more will be as the storm continues, with nearby states likely being affected as well in the next few days. This includes folks we know in our little community (as well as people here you or I may not know live there), as well as people I know personally who I have yet to hear back from since the storm hit. I simply felt the need for this to be made to further awareness of the situation and to give shout outs and regards (and prays if you're into that sort of thing) to our fellow xenogamers going through this disaster.
Now for the extra ambitious, there isn't much that can be done to help from afar. That being said, donations to relief agencies are always a possible option. For anyone curious or willing to do such, a simple effort I'd point you towards would be this here I support the American Red Cross
where you can (and i'd recommend) select where you'd specifically like your donation to go to with the "I want to support" drop menu, with hurricane harvey being at the bottom. Now I by no means would want to ask anyone to go and donate, but at the same time would absolutely not discourage anyone from doing so.
Lastly, for those of you currently suffering from this disaster, please stay safe and I hope the situation improves as quickly as possible.
Pretty much this. You blatantly stated you knew this next offense was going to be a perm and yet you continued to not only push the rules at nearly all times, but tried to encourage others to break the rules when you were afraid of staff that were on.
At what point were you planning on "turning a new leaf" exactly? You've displayed anything but a change in your behavior.
