First things first, it should be discussed with ALL community leaders, not just nom and silence. I don't know why the ban was changed pre-empively, it looks like someone just wants to see Vector permed in my opinion.
 
Additionally, these secret conversations are kinda dumb. If you have something to say, especially if it involves something that was as disputed as Vector's ban, use admin discussion. We aren't a secret society, be more transparent about community issues. All higher-ups deserve to have easy access to all major community discussions.
 
Lastly, I'd like some more info about what's happening in this conversation. Was there an open debate about the status of Vector's ban, or was it leaning more towards a forceful imposition of one viewpoint. Screencaps of the conversation would be greatly appreciated (sent via steam or in a thread in admin discussion).

Why was Vector banned in the first place? Although Vector could be a harsh person He never really bothered me and always inforced the rules, especially while he was an admin. I haven't played tf2 in about 9 months so i missed all the important aspects of him being banned in the first place but i have noted that since I've signed on more rules have been broken and theres more flaws with the servers now then there were 9 months ago. I've noticed people using No clip and resizing to kill people. And the random pop up advertisements are more then intrusive and obnoxious. The vector I knew would be one of a handful of people to call these things out simply because he played the game more then others. from my experience with vector I'd have to +1

So regarding some of the recent posts in a member submission, it seems needed that people should understand etiquette.
 
Like: You simply like what someone said or did in a post.
 
Dislike: You simply did not like something in a post and might not disagree with it.
 
Fuck you: (Possibly to be removed) For when someone is particularly being an asshat and deserves and old "Fuck you"Please don't mistake this for disagree, because that would be rude and improper.
 
Agree: You respectfully agree with the post or the words said in the post. Slightly different from liking a post, because you don't necessarily have to like what is said.
 
Disagree: You respectfully disagree with what is said in a post or what the post is about, even if you like the post you might disagree with it.
 
Funny: Something could have made you smile, or you might find it humorous.
 
Not Funny: Something someone said is distasteful or just a bad attempt at a joke. If it is extremely distasteful, see 'Fuck You'.
 
Lazy: Something said in the post is not very well thought through, or just lacks effort in what is said. Maybe in other cases someone just does something very lazy.
 
Sad: Did something make you depressed or hurt your heart? Maybe you look back on the post and it just makes you realize that the whole thread has gone to shit and it makes you sad.
 
Nerd: A light-hearted stab at a friend about maybe their sonic obsession, or they literally did something straight up nerdy.
 
Winner: Generally viewed as when someone makes a post so relevant or fitting to the thread that you think it is the winner of the thread.
 
Informative: When someone makes a post in the thread that is helpful information-wise to the thread, like a post giving people the correct usage of ratings in threads might be informative.
 
Friendly: Simply for when someone is making an attempt to be a friend and be nice to someone.
 
Useful: Very much like informative, but it might not give information, but more of it being a picture or a photoshop that helps you.
 
Optimistic: For when someone looks on the happy side of a thread and makes an observation or comment on how it could be better. A lot of these should be seen in a sad thread.
 
Ding!: Someone gets it in the thread.
 
Creative: Someone makes a picture, painting, comment, pun or maybe a joke that is just surprisingly creative in your eyes.
 
African: (Joke Rating) For when you have no other opinion.
 
British: When something is overwhelmingly of britain, I.E: A whole post about tea.
 
Furry: In a post mainly about animals, or in the worst case, actual... "Furry Things", it might be useful to rate with this.
 
Blaze It: Dedicated to Moosty in the great Weed Wars of 420 AD. For when the post is about weed.
 
Drunk: Dedicated to Bach. For when someone is actually drunk or is pretty incomprehensible.
 
Bad Spelling: For when someone's spelling is bad, enough said.
 
Boring: One of a more rare ratings. Maybe someone posted the entire dictionary, then this would be a relevant rating.
 
Smelly(Formerly Shitpost): For use of when someone's post is just bad and they should feel bad, or they do something that could be described as smelly... like unspeakable things. As @Bach says; rate any of @Chrono's posts.
 
And above all else, don't get butthurt if people are rating you a certain way, this thread is just here as an example of what should be the ratings system.

The old ones have a lower range whilst airborne, which sucks.
The new ones are more for sticky spam and not so much defending.

moving spawn doors up the corridor would help has that prevents pipes from going down but stickies are not a problem for blue

Its been real guys. Ive been addicted to tf2 for a little while now and have been playing for years. Ive decided to cash out since the tf2 economy isn't stable and i don't like having money in virtual stuff. I'm already about halfway cashed out. just need to sell my Stash which shouldn't be too hard. Ill end up making twice what i put in and ill get to keep my stranges for the memories.
I'm quiting for a variety of reasons. One of the servers i frequently went on (besides TGH) was the legendary =LOLWUT= which recently died. TGH is less popular now so i was going on pokemon trade.
 
But in reality I've been meaning to quit for a while now and haven't quite been able too. but i figure now its time to move on. I currently attend an Ivy league school and i think my time would be best used towards studies. Ill probably swing by every now and again. toddles. thanks for the memories.

I still think this is a topic that needs to be discussed. @Moosty, I, and many others are in support of no spawn camping. It's boring for the spawncampers, and frustrating for the spawncampees. I say we give it a shot, we had the rule not even in place for 24 hours. We need to honestly give it a REAL shot.

Here's my opinion. Make up your mind and keep it that way. It gets confusing when we have 50 rule changes a day that no one knows about. Do we want spawn camping, or do we not?
 
And also, if I may suggest, no more fucking UNWRITTEN rules. If you want a rule enforced, WRITE IT ON THE RULE LIST.
I hate having to hear after the fact: "Oh yeah, I made that rule with Kbraszzle or Nom, it's just unwritten." WRITE IT DOWN.

So I ve been playing tf2 for 3 years now and on XG servers for 2 years and banning spawn camping is a poor decision and let me explain why. Most of the strategies on the maps we play on involve spawn camping or at least the ones I've found to be successful universally do. Lets take the example of golden rod city. You see about 4 or 5 strategies regularly, all of which would be classified as spawn camping. 1: snipers sniping from near there own spawn to the opposing spawn. 2: scouts who run behind the opposing spawn and kill said snipers 3: sticky jumping demos who caber the opposing spawn 4:pyros who and other friends who pick off people near the enemy spawn and 5: My strategy sticky jumping to the opposing spawn and using stickies on the door. This is how this map is played. Most frags happen in what i would call the spawn areas. NEXT TO NO FRAGS HAPPEN ON THE MIDDLE STRECH.
Clocktown is a better balanced map in my opinion but again look at where the frags take place: Infront of the clock tower or in front of blue spawn. The main difference between clock town and goldenrod is that clock town isn't a gigantic stretch of land that allows snipers to snipe from the other side of the map like golden rod but it has tight corridors that are great for demo's and soldiers. Both spawns fall to sticky traps quotes easily but thats how the map is played. if you ban spawn camping then snipers Will snipe from spawn. And the spawns are too close together on clock town to avoid one team from pushing into each others spawn areas. Banning spawn camping Just doesn't work. It makes the maps unplayable particularly clock town as the spawns are so close to each other that about 90% of frags on that map could be considered spawn camping. Golden rod isn't much better. at least 80% of the kills I've gotten on that map have been near the enemy spawn or near mine. In addition I can't follow this rule. Its simple. When people snipe me Im going to try to kill them. End of story. And since people snipe in or near spawn on both maps Im going to spawn camp. And every one who regularly plays on TF2 servers will too and knows exactly what will happen.

I know these weapons and i know these maps pretty well. If you don't trust my opinion Many others support my opinion including @Vector @Kypari .
