Problem is fixed as I got a new headset. I now use a Nubwo N7 and with the £22 I spent for fantasy mic and sound quality, I'm very happy ?

Nice !  I don't remember what your mic sounded like before, but it sounds good now ?

Laptop mic and a pair of supermarket headphones. Let's go lads.

Seriously bad issue where if I use my mic on tf2, discord chat can be heard through it. Anyone know a fix? Not sure if it's to do with me using my laptop mic, but I'm pretty brain dead when it comes to this kind of thing

You mean like you can hear Discord in the background, or your OS somehow mixes in the audio output of Discord?

I was going to suggest using headphones to combat 1, but you already do .. that's just an odd issue.

Anything that isn't Razer. If you haven't seen my many posts in general on Discord, the grips on my DeathAdder Elite fell off after seven months. Absolutely unacceptable for how big a company it is.

Very low-quality products are Razer's specialty I guess. Incredibly disappointed, looking to get the Logitech g502 at some point in the near future along with a nice keyboard, but I don't want to spend all of my money immediately.

Absolutely.  I had the Razer Ouroborous, $150+ I think, and the QC on that thing was absolute garbage.  The left button had a totally different click feel from the right, both the mouse wheel and the battery died after <a year of owning it.

  4. I use the LG G403:

Logitech G403 Wired Optical Gaming Mouse with 12000 DPI, 16.8 Million Colours for PC, MAC, USB - Black: Amazon.co.uk: Computers...

It has rgb logo and scroll wheel, side buttons, is wired, adjustable dpi.  It's prime eligible here in the UK, not sure about in the US.

  5. Used to use the mic that was integrated into my laptop, though that was really shit - picked up all sorts of vibrations from the desk as well as key clicks.

Just upgraded to a Blue Snowball Ice, with a suspension mic stand that hangs down from a shelf above my desk, and I'm pretty damn happy with how much of an upgrade it is.

  6. Crashlands is a great game.  Similar to Don't Starve (also a great game!).

If you have an iPad, absolutely get FTL.  One of the best games available for iPad.

    Other games:

    - Wordscapes, similar to scrabble, have to fill in words on a grid.  Fun time waster

    - Alchemy 2, very very casual, just drag elements together to see what they create.  Good if you pick some destination element (not specifically element, more like compositions up from elements) and work towards it

    - Geometry dash.  Infuriatingly hard, but very satisfying once you get it, kind of like surf maps!

20 years old and applied to a bunch of medical schools recently. I doubt I'll get in this year since I rushed all my shit; shitty applications and average on the MCAT (only studied 4 weeks prior). But my gpa is up there so I should eventually get into a medical school. It depends on when I do well on my MCAT haha

Good luck!  If you don't get in, there's always next year ?

graduating in december with a CS degree, after like 5 and a half years

Congratulations!  A degree is a degree, no matter how much time it took ?

Not sure how it works at your uni, but did you specialize in anything?  I'm in third year and currently focusing on OS and systems level.
