If we are to reexamine how we revoke membership I don't feel like its fair to throw a member under the bus by having us decide on their ban thread and having them be the guinea pig for a policy.

I really have no stake in this at all but as a passerby on the activity stream I'd like to +1 this statement.

The policy of withdrawing membership is clearly not well defined, and as it's a fairly significant thing, I'd feel more comfortable with it being a formal process rather than something that came up ad-hoc in a ban req.

  2. I suggest that you should be able to vote to extend the map duration in the last ten minutes of the map.  If everyone's really enjoying the current map, having the map change is a bit of a buzzkill.

If the vote passes with majority then it's obviously what the players want, although there could be a cap set of only allowing the map to be extended x amount of times to prevent people not joining if they see that the server has a specific map they like, coming back later, and seeing it's still on the same map.

    Cheers!

I'm all for this; talked to higherups about it before. If only there were more perks with credits...

Is there some way to get consensus or poll for them to add the plugin?  If it's an issue of that specific plugin being out of date / incompatible I'm happy to write one for the server.

  4. Nobody had an issue with you.  It was just that when you didn't meet the min post requirements you very transparently started posting many many objectively low quality threads in an effort to quickly boost your vote count, and then became aggressive when people respectfully asked you to stop doing that.

I'm almost 24 and halfheartedly tried to get a Political Science  degree after high school, flunked out, worked for two years, realized hard work like that sucks and I should go back to school, and now I'm two terms away from transferring to a 4 year school for my last few classes to get an english linguistics degree with a certification to teach English as a second language.

Then I'm dipping the hell out of America ayy lmao

Wow!  Congratulations on nearly getting that degree!

  6. Nice !  Sounds like a good mix.

    I hate math ?

but I like this plugin enough to give it a +1, although im not sure how it would be tied into the current credit/schmeckle system or if it even can be done, I personally never use the credits/store system as is even though I have 16k in the bank but it would be a cool plugin to keep the servers interactive and show off who has the biggest brains, and in my opinion it takes forever to farm credits when you get like 1-3 every-time you kill someone or something, this could be a easier solution to getting credits rather than farming kills/idling, just my opinion though.

Petition to rename credits as schmeckles.

But yes, it's just something fun to do.

Yeah there's not many things that could be added for credits.  Can't really change gameplay in any way, and cosmetics are such a core of TF2 that messing with them probably wouldn't work out too well.

  8. A couple of servers I've been on similar to xG implement a source mod called "math credits".  Every couple of minutes it generates a random math equation (e.g. "87 * 33"), and the first person to answer it gets a set amount of credits (lowest I saw was 10, highest 180).

I think it would be useful as it's something to do if you've finished the map and is generally fun for competition (people enter numbers quickly and wrong, there's an incentive to be both fast and accurate).  It's also a way for super dedicated members to earn extra credits.

I've had a look online and the main mod with this idea is this:

    FORUMS.ALLIEDMODS.NET

    Math Credits Store

    And the example is:

     [QUIZ]100 + 64 = ?? >>5 Credits<<
    *DEAD* Spancer : 164
[QUIZ]Spancer is the winner he got 5 credits.

    Cheers!

That's awesome! I'm glad to hear your classes are going well. I'm doing well myself for the most part. Taking online classes.

I'm in my second year of college, so I can agree with how busy it can be at times. I purposefully took only 2 classes this semester so I can catch up and not be too stressed out again.

Also, it's great to hear that you're doing good despite the pressure of hard classes!

    That's fair !  I take 4 classes each semester, so yeah, it's a bit of work ?

Its about time you applied, I see you on the servers all the time. Really active, nice guy, and perfectly represents a great member for xG. +1 From me!

Thanks!  Also .. is this a copypasta?  Skittle posted it twice and then you did, so not sure

  11. I'm a fan of sniper, it's one of my most played classes, along with scout and spy.  I played CS:S for a bit and then CS:GO for longer (never competitively, just casually) and the AWP was absolutely by far my favorite wep.

I think I like it because you only have to be accurate once.
