Then let's start cleaning up the clan. Post a list of people that need to be removed, reformat the submission guidelines, make member protests more effective, and if people have a problem with fixing real issues they should leave or be removed.

Essentially people need to understand, that even though we are a democratic clan (if I may), people of higher power have been put there for a good reason and no one should argue against it. There may be discussions, but no arguments. Kind of how I see the irony in @Rhododendron always managing to "abuse" and have fun on any server but the moment I do it, even for 5 minutes, everyone throws a hissy fit and tries to report me and say how bad I am. Though to protect against this I would have to say we have to stay strong and affirmative of our powers until people finally understand that you can talk, but you can't argue against it.
 
It's quite authoritative, but once people understand and respect the ladder of power, it shouldn't be an issue. In my truthful opinion, if a CL or two see someone needs to be perm banned without public explanation, there shouldn't be an explanation and shit storm for it. Similarly to how I got shot from every corner about banning Loki. There have been numerous reports against him, I've witnessed tons of verbal abuse and him dis-reputing the clan, and faking being a staff member to induce confusion. As a Leader, I had a giant group of people go against me until there's been more proof by more people and then some CLs (no names) and players went "Oh crap... he was right to ban him...".
 
It's all about people understanding that there is a ladder of power and everyone is there for the appropriate reason, and based on that position they are trust worthy enough and valued to make the right decisions without everyone rebutting it.

I understand that passions are high and people are mad. I get that. It happens quite often. But it gives no excuse to bring the argument to petty insults and nasty posts. I like to think that we as a clan are above such immaturity, but when it happens, I begin to have my doubts.
 
I get it. I understand. Whyte is upset because of H0b0's hostility towards Hachi and Dethman. H0b0 is upset because he feels he was wronged in Jailbreak, and his encounters with those involved led to sensitive personal information about him being exposed, which he clearly did not want to be made public knowledge. What's worse is that AFTER this information was made known, some, (not all) of our members who CLEARLY KNOW BETTER begin to harass and insult him because of his lifestyle. This is completely unacceptable. As someone who heavily supports the LGBTQ movement, this REALLY hurts my heart to see happen in the clan that I call family.
 
I understand that there were threats made. I understand that there were hostile things said, but, as I said above, that in no way gives ANYONE the right to be so cruel and malign. If this didn't end so horribly for H0b0, I wouldn't have been surprised to see an abuse thread made after these events.
 
Nobody wins here. Absolutely nobody. Sure, H0b0 gets banned based on the threats he made towards other staff, but xG is successful in showing its ass when it went to handle the situation. I'm aware that those who instigated were dealt with, but come on. It NEVER should have came to that.
 
I'm not advocating that H0b0 acted in the right, because there were things said that clearly shouldn't have been said. But I AM advocating that we as a clan SERIOUSLY need to reevaluate how we handle these kinds of situations. It goes much farther than just the individuals who were directly involved. If you check the shoutbox, the same posts persisted LONG after the thread was closed, and I'm sure people were still chuckling about it even more after.
 
But don't get me wrong. I'm not frowning at all of you. I do want to take a moment and thank those who were in charge of damage control for acting accordingly. You guys did awesome at making sure this didn't get blown completely out of proportion. Thank you so much for that, at least.
 
I implore you guys to handle things better in the future, because this was just appalling to read through. I know we push the envelope a lot, but when it comes to a serious issue, we need to learn to straighten the fuck up and handle things in a much more professional manner.

tl;dr Shit went sour and Scoots doesn't like how people acted after the fact, on BOTH sides.

I'm a fan of the map. Get someone to edit the map and remove the strobing if you feel it's too much of a problem.

I'll get into depth of it this weekend, and offer my opinion.

Also the updater plugin only works if the dev uses it. The majority of plugins don't use it. I've added steamworks and tf2items to our repo so they update from now on.

This week I am going to startup our updater database, that will have all popular plugins update automatically. This will be done so we don't have to go on every server and update it every time, and I'll even customize the addons to use [xG] prefixes so it will make the server look sexier.
 
I need a list of plugins that should go on this repo.
 
Also I might do a course (lol) on how to debug server errors and crashes. Tell me if that would be useful and I'll write up a guide or go on Teamspeak and help you guys live.

Honestly, it's become difficult with lack of older people that may have more experience managing users and helping with donations and whatnot. Younger people simply don't have the money and experience to contribute as much as I would like to the servers. Don't get me wrong, the staff that manages the servers is great but I just want the clan to appeal to an older demographic since I feel it would help our growth over time. With the younger people, it feels like we are a babysitting place where they come and go so frequently and the older people who want to stay are so frustrated with the amount of drama they cause that they leave.

So, I'm going to be taking a bit of a hiatus from the division for a bit. I'm not leaving permanently or anything like that. I can just slowly feel myself being sucked away from TF2 by the sloppy wet lips of Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. I'm a bit of a MH whore, and since I recently purchased a New 3DS, I have had a hard time doing much of anything else, such as caring for my daughter or tending to my marriage, or showing up for work and teaching my little demons. My wife probably left already. I'm not sure. I also may or may not have a job anymore. Who knows.
 
So, gimme a few days to get this out of my system and I'll be back. Hate you all. You won't be missed.

New update to the addon, removed the option to promote/demote on the member card.
 
To now promote/demote a user, go to their forum profile, and hover over the 'Moderator Actions' button and choose 'Promote/Demote User'.
