I might be misreading a thing here or there, but text warnings should always be given out alongside voice if people like to use the mic a lot. Some people keep voices off for one reason or another.

This stat obviously provides a substantial advantage when fighting enemies. Further Information:

In the past, there have been several anonymous users suspecting this very same abuse of stats like faster revving up speed and firing speed on heavy, and this further confirms it.

Forest reacted to Cr0w64 in Xg Skin Pack [tf2] [updated Whenever]
Have you ever felt that the TF2 servers are losing their energy? Or that your beloved, precious inventory just wasn't cutting it one way or another? Everlasting boredom that just creeps up on you unannounced and makes you feel... Overall depressed to some extent...?

    Well say no more!

Thanks to the lack of "sv_pure" in xG servers, I am proud to announce that I am now building an occasionally updated pack of skins and sound packs just to give your game a little more spice so you can have just a little more fun getting those dank ass head shots or just fooling around with friends on the daily. Since there weren't many weapon-based materials implemented in the servers' list of small whatsits and whatnot, I decided to do everyone a favor by making these skins I am using just a little easier accessible to the group.

BUT, this pack is still in the works as I am testing these skins and sound packs out for any bugs and potential threats before adding them to a list which will be updated at least once a week with anything I can find by my leisure. Anyway, enough chit-chat. Here's this week's batch.

    1. Guess the person's quote from the previous poster
    2. Drop down a few lines in your post
    3. Input the quote/mimic that you want someone else to guess
3a. Tag whoever you think should know it, if they're the next person to guess (and they're wrong) rate their post "Drunk". Responses are first-come, first-serve. If the tagged does not guess before someone else does, then the game carries on
    4. Rinse and repeat

Glad to see y'all having fun, but these are some pretty basic rules and it makes things a lot easier for everyone if you play along ;)

For reference, this was the last legitimate quote/mimic:

Quoting myself from a previous thread (source) because this is somewhat relevant to the whole "make a new board" concept. Also, I'm not sure how anyone could possibly be "off-topic" when posting in the General section of forums.
As Silence so eloquently put it:

As for the whole anonymous board, it's pretty well exactly as Silence put it back in the day; a 'Bad Idea'. The concept was that it would allow Players to speak out against abusive Staff without fear of being judged or scorned. That being said, it just turned into a place where people would fling insults, flame each other, and just spawn racist or offensive shit-storms that no gaming community would want to be associated with. I don't think it would be the best idea unless rules were to be put in place that rule against any derogatory, offensive or graphic content; however, even then I would still be hesitant because we're a Gaming community, not a discussion forum for Politics/Religion/etc. If anything, see if you can convince @Rhododendron to create a separate blog or something for that kind of content. The Xeno Gamers' forums should remain focused around gaming and other creative interests in my opinion :coffee:

We might need to have a conversation on what sort of outside of server communication can be punishment worthy at some point, but that convo will take more than a day. So unfortunately you'll probably have to wait it out.

And as @Forest said, anyone can make a ban protest no matter how seemingly frivolous or no matter how short the ban. They can all be valid. We could still learn something and improve xG if the higher ups clarify and discuss this type of case, but it won't affect this case in particular, so it's kind of see you tomorrow at this point.

Under normal circumstances you would be correct in saying that anything done outside of Servers should have no sway on rules broken in the Servers; however, this does vary from time to time, especially when it comes to harassment or other abusive communication (text or verbal). Assuming this was the case, then the ban was justifiable.

That being said, if this was simply a matter of a Player commenting on a Staff's profile to get a rise out of the Staff, then no, I don't believe this to be a justifiable ban in any way. Not only is this not disrupting the gameplay or Players/Staff on the Server, but this may very well be borderline abuse of power.

Before this gets blown out of proportion, (also keep in mind that this is personal opinion) please consider the following:

Staff are there to Moderate the Servers in order to maintain a healthy gaming environment free of rulebreakers, trolls, etc. Unless a Player is explicitly affecting the Servers (or is otherwise harassing a Player on our Servers) then there is no reason to ban a Player for their actions outside of the Servers. In other words, in order for a Player to be punished, they have to be affecting the Server as a whole, or, and this is a big 'or', they have to be a danger (IE. [verbal] harassment, threats, etc) to any of the Players in the Server (including Staff). Anything above or beyond this is an abuse of power from the Staff (depending on the situation).

Staff are expected to receive a lot of slack for what they do, both ingame and out of it; this is a given. However, by no means should they be punishing Players for what they do outside of the game, especially for something as trivial as this.

As a reminder, this is all personal opinion and should be taken with a grain of salt. I'd also like to point out that all Players, regardless of the reason, are entitled to post a Ban Protest; regardless of how frivolous it may seem to some. The point for many of these isn't that the ban is for a minor amount of time, but that the ban may have been unwarranted or unjustified.

    +/-0 on this Ban Protest.
