    Rank 1 on the surf server, most hours on there as well, I believe. He didn't "randomly" show up. You don't go on surf enough to recognize the regulars.

     

    I go on surf plenty. It's just at ungodly hours when not many others are surfing. T.T

    I will say, and this isnt me posting my resume here by any means, that I have more than enough exp with not only xG as an entitiy (as I have been here throughout the years, almost right until the death of the CS div), but in running communities as well. I ran -=NWO=- from 1.6 to source, over the span of 2002-2009's final collapse due to our clan leader dying. Managing a community is literally second nature at this point.

     

    The arguments I'm hearing from the public are just general lack of presence and, until recently, the absence of our Divs higher ups (which consist of totally legit reasons, i.e. life, school, ect.) Recently with the newer promotions we have established a staff presence so that will continue to die down as it has been.

     

    Ill just say that I am always here. Like, constantly. I read almost every post in the forums, I'm forever in TS, and if I'm not at a computer (which is rare) I'm on steam chat via mobile up.

     

    I think in the weekish Ive been DM Ive really accomplished a ton, from getting a new server started, to cleaning up the forums and updating old posts, to constantly pitching my ideas, fixing old issues, and bringing new ideas to fruition.

     

    I appreciate the people who have suggested me. While I feel as though I would have no qualms and / or issues with the position, and 100% feel as though I would be able to handle it maturely (I am 27 lol.....ew) I'm not going to sit here and ask for the position within a week of me joining the lower levels of upper-tier management, however, if the time comes when my skills/exp become a good choice, I wouldnt turn down the chance to take it in a heartbeat. Im not easily overwhelmed and would take the position in earnest. My job and my life isnt going to change drastically, im older and set in a routine. I imagine Ill be as active as I am now for the duration that xG is online.

     

    Dont forget, and this is more important than anything else, I LOVE this place and I love you guys, and Im only heere to do my part to make thi place better every time I log on. I spend more time with you guys than I do my woman after all. No matter my position and or title, im going to be the same person regardless, and my intentions are going to be nothing but set on listening to the community and using whatever I have available to me to continue to improve this place.

    Don't think, by any means, that I am underestimating or devaluing your experience in managing clans. Truth be told, I don't know you too well, but I have seen amazing things accomplished since you were given your position. I am certain it isn't going unnoticed. But as you reflected, I think there are just people who ALSO don't know you as well as they probably should, which in turn leads to doubt. I wouldn't take it personally. Keep up the excellent work! :D

    Assuming that doesn't happen, in 24 hours the acceptance message will be posted and he may begin wearing tags. =)

    my 2c on everything posted.

     

    in no specific order

     

    • To the case of snackbar, he should not be CL nothing personal against him, I love the guy to death, but he just came back, and also just became DM, let him simmer for a bit and deal with managing the population of csgo as it slowly increases, he needs to get a good taste for managing a division before he can manage the entire community. aka, he's not ready yet.
    • The CLs shouldn't be from any division specifically, or in otherwords you shouldn't be pulling round robin and have a CL from each division. that's dumb, it should be based on who can do the job well, if they can actually do the job well regardless of what division they are from, then they will actively play on all divisions shortly after receiving the position.
    • To close out my list, Scootaloo is the #1 candidate, and if anyone gets it, it should be offered to him first. he does great managing tf2 and keeping up with all forum activities.
    • we dont need 5 CLs, (community leaders) we only need 2 maybe 3 real cls that will talk with eachother about decisions, and silence and nomulous need removed from "CL" because that was by far the stupidest thing to ever be thought of in regards to managing this place we call home (IMO)

    as far as bleed and i being kill, bleed is a new college student, i've been working 45-60 hour weeks and going out with my real friends and family before/after work as well as working odd hours (open, close, open, close, close, mid, open, close) so i dont have a real set schedule anymore as well as being overloaded with new training for new positions at work.

    bleed should be more active after midterms until finals, i should be more active in the coming weeks. servers will be populated. Super Secret Project (SSP) soon™

     

    I appreciate the support Chrono, and I wish to comment about your points you've made.

     

    1. I could be wrong, but I am not sure that Snackbar was instantly being considered for a CL position. I believe, if I understand it correctly, that he was to become DM of CS division as a sort of trial period to see if he has the qualifications needed for such a promotion. But, I don't think he was to become a CL immediately. But then again, I am not 100% sure on those intentions, so I may be wrong.

     

    2. I sort of disagree, but I also sort of agree as well. A CL should be someone who is fully committed in bettering the community as a whole, not just the division they are in. I personally want to become more in touch with the members and staff in our CS:GO division, especially if I am being considered for a CL position. And you can be assured, if it DOES happen, I will become as knowledged and as versed in how the CS division runs and operates, so I can fully be utilized by our community, not just the TF2 division.

     

    That being said, I also feel that outside the qualifications, a CL should be as active in as many divisions as possible, if not at least being knowledged in how each division operates. So, I partly feel that a CL should be selected from a choice list of representatives from each division, but I don't think they should ONLY represent that single division. It should be as widespread as possible.

    4. I have spoken with Nomulous in the past, but I cannot say I know him very well. I like to think that Silence is a good friend, because we actively communicate about stuff. But I am not sure completely removing them is the correct answer. Obviously, the owner should have SOME say in what happens with the servers. I feel that having them on the board of CLs keeps it fair for not only the community, but for them as well. Keep it a democracy and make sure it doesn't turn into a dictatorship, sort of thing. =)

     

    And to address the inactivity, I personally have had to take a leave before (New member of the family arriving,) so I fully think it's 100% understandable if you guys need a bit of a leave. Life happens. We have to ride the waves the tide gives us. ^-^

    Just to clarify, because apparently there has been some confusion with some of our members:

     

    If anyone wants to know if I actually WANT the CL position, the answer is yes. I am more than happy to accept the position if offered to me and actually want to work to a good job to help better this community.

     

    I have no idea why anyone thought I DIDN'T want the position, but for some reason that has been implied. Just wanted to clarify that I will happily accept if it is offered. =(

    I'm quite honored that everyone first thought of me when addressed with who would be a good CL for the TF2 division. I am also very grateful that Silence didn't want to overwhelm me with too much on my plate, but in all honesty, I think life for me has calmed down quite a bit.

     

    I was pretty stressed before my son was born, because in all honesty, that's a pretty stressful event. But he's here now. He's healthy. Life has returned to normal. My activity has returned to normal, I am active on both forums and in servers, and I have basically ingrained it into my daily routine that I get on TS and just chill with everyone after I get home from work. xG, even if it sounds nerdy, is a big part of what I do when I'm not at work. It's been there for the past few years and I'd like to keep it that way. It really isn't a big problem and doesn't interfere with my at-home life, so you don't have to worry about that much from me.

     

    If you're concerned about overloading me, don't be. I'd gladly take on the position and do my best for the clan, as I always have. But if you needed a second recommendation from me, I would also say Kbraszzz would possibly make a good CL. Whatever position you guys think I'd fill best, I'll happily do, and whatever decision is made, I'll happily support.

     

    Also, have I turned the position down before? Nope. It's never been offered to me. ^-^

    Totally down. Those maps all look pretty solid. We can test and get rid of the ones we don't want.

    Oh hell. Whyte with the counter-proof.

     

    This is totally NOT going in your direction. Day ban will stay in place. If user abuses the exploit again in the future, the ban will be extended to NO LOWER than a week.

     

    Don't exploit the map again. Thread will be left open for the evening for OP to respond.

    O rly? And you want us to do what, exactly? I mean, he CLEARLY told him not to hold gates, and I am assuming he did so anyways. What did he expect to happen? Either way, that has nothing to do with YOUR ban, so unless something is brought forward relating to that, it's irrelevant here. We also don't accept copy/pasted chat logs. We need screens.

     

    Rules for Death Run have been made clear, over and over again. WE consider using hidden spaces in maps for your advantage as an EXPLOIT. Whether or not you agree is irrelevant. You don't use the spots deemed as exploitable because it creates an unfair advantage. WHAT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND ABOUT THAT?

     

    -1 for unban. Wait it out. Don't do it again or the ban will be lengthened. Whyte did nothing wrong.
