Because people keep deleting my dogs in dresses shitpost Ill actually contribute.

Other than this thread showing the autism of some of our moderators, its redundant.

"OH EHM GEE ITS A CASUAL TRADE SERVER" yet 99.99% of the population doesn't fucking trade. Why are the higher ups even discussing this? Remove random crits to enable a more balanced gameplay where skill is involved. Im gonna bring overwatch into this where a headshot does critical damage. Requires skill to aim. Not just some dumbfuck soldier spamming rockets down a hallway.

And as @Vector stated. We have other shit on the server to compensate for vavle being a bunch of retards too.

Wake up sheeple. If you back up random crits staying on the server, you're literal garbage and should go back to playing mario maker.

Yes supreme. That is my goal. My goal is to completely kill TGH and the tf2 division in general. You have found me out.

I play on trade servers competitively to compensate for my lack of awareness on actual gamemodes.

All jokes aside, anything that removes random intervals of a 3x damage multiplier is fine in my book.

Yeah it's a casual trade server with you know, rtd. The thing that can make you invincible or a biological superweapon for 20 seconds, or make you blow up or catch fire. Pretty random and with a lot more impact. But it's a much more FUN system of randomness imo.

I don't mind crits on a server like this, but when it's up for vote I'll vote for their removal as I'm fed up with the contradicting hot mess they are. A mechanic put in as an element of randomness that can break stalemates/stomps, and yet they are more likely to happen for the people that are stomping and all that stuff. Ending a fight with a crit can be a slap in the face to both the critter and the one on the recieving end, and while it is a trade server you can't deny people tend to get in little duels and such a whole lot.

And this is just my opinion of course, but personally I find melee fights with no crits more fun. Lasts longer and makes it feel more like a duel. I guess that goes for crits in general, but it's not like guns can reach that delicious 65% crit chance that melee weapons can, so it mostly applies to them.

and who likes random crits? who thinks random crits are fun? It's literally one of the most complained about things about tf2 in general. Your argument was this isn't competitive. but by that logic we shouldn't even have no weapon spread.

+1 , because that sounds hilarious.
I laugh at servers that replace it with stuff like "trade me for free items" but that's obviously a bit too far when I really think about it. Sort of need SOMETHING to get through so they realize it got swapped and they don't freak out and think their script isn't working though.

This is a friggin' trade server, why would we disable random crits? rofl
Edit: Most of the people who asked for random crits to be removed are just mad because they lost a fight in what, a trade server! :ooooo

+1 for a trial run to see how it goes. Lennies don't even show up correctly in the chat I don't know why they still are used....

hes that moon man guy? Geez, +1 I've seen his racism before on late night TGH, don't know why I didn't report. (Mightve figured he was a random player) He was on during the Kitsune incident but he wasn't spamming racism due to there being 3 mods and Vector on. The racism is enough for a ban tbh, but the stalking thing adds to it.

The player who recorded this was an engineer in the spawncamp, and while some other BLU players bodyblocked (pyro standing in the warp spot flaming constantly) the player who reported this did not use his buildings to block.

xG:M| Red Eevee / Flareon used his ability to set his own gravity in a combat situation as the evidence shows. Both the start of the video and the image in the evidence section make it clear it was not a RTD result, and that it happened on the PKMN Trading Center server.

Nothing was said by him prior to the incident about the spawncamp or sentry itself (hence the lack of evidence about what happened before), the first moderator-exclusive action was the combination of lowered gravity and constant sapping in a situation where it would otherwise be impossible to do what he did.

From my understanding of the rules spawncamping is allowed and only admins can deem a spawncamp unbreakable. Red Eevee is not an admin, and no admin had deemed the spawncamp unbreakable prior to the incident above.

Thanks for that Dethman, but since this is the first DOCUMENTED incident we've seen, I think we can safely give Flareon an official warning about his actions.

Flareon, it's probably best to ensure that if you are engaging the enemy team AT ALL, don't have any active commands that could potentially give you an edge to the fight. Make sure things like resize commands, low gravity, speed, and the such are all reset before actually fighting and trying to affect the enemy teams. Also, that goes for God/Buddha mode too. Since this is your first offence, I don't think any drastic measures will be taken, but should it happen again, there will be a possible ramification you'd face, up to and possibly including demotion.

If this is sufficient to the other DMs/DLs, I think we can close the thread and move on. Flareon has received his warning, and should he receive his warning and change his actions, I feel no further punishments need to be given at this time. Just don't let it happen again, yeah? Consider this a probationary period of sorts where you'll be monitored for any additional wrongdoings.

If sufficient, we can close the thread and be done with it.

Okay, after speaking to the other DMs about the rule, we have come to the decision to keep the rule as it is, in which Admins+ have the discretion to deem the spawn camp as unbreakable.

HOWEVER, I would HIGHLY SUGGEST that spawn camps are left alone and only broken if it is literally impossible to get around, such as if you head through a teleport to get out of spawn, like in Nimbus. xG has been known for a long time for its allowance of spawn camping, and the last thing we want to do is get rid of it.

So, in the given scenario, Flareon using low gravity to drop sappers on the buildings would constitute as abuse. Admins+ are the only ones who can deem if a camp is unbreakable, so if you think it qualifies, you should be seeking out an Admin+ to make a judgment call on it.

PLEASE don't take it into your own hands. Let one of us make that call.
