I'm actually a little bit uncertain about Vacindak at the moment from some stuff cropping up. I'm not sure if at this point voting is being used to loophole the rules or not, I know they've done it before back while I was admin, but I guess I would want to ask if this sort of thing happening as frequently as it does is alright.

Yeah that sounds pretty fine to me. Using it while staff is on doesn't hurt much and does alert them to something going on, though if they blatantly abuse or are trolling with it then they should still be punished as if they'd used it while no staff was on since the intentions were there. That's what I think, at least.

Going to agree with people saying job comes before play and a text warning should be mandatory. It's not going to kill the entire day or mood just to have to type out a text warning so that everyone has a fair chance at seeing it, at most it's just a minor inconvenience to the one doing it. There's a whole slew of reasons one could or would want to keep voices off, even possibly hearing problems, but the most I can see when it comes to why people can't just do a text warning as well is that it's more efficient/convenient or because the game might possibly be interrupted for a bit if the staff is currently the one playing as a bigger role. Maybe it is more convenient but it's certainly not as fair. Got to think of the player's side of things. The efficiency argument is even debatable since voice chat could also be very active and people might not hear you- this happens particularly often in TGH where people are talking a lot and further enforces why people might keep voices off or why text chat warnings would be more useful.

It's always a good idea to issue warnings through all chat above all else, some people keep mic chat off for a variety of reasons- this can range from anything to needing to keep their volume low, parents not wanting younger kids talking with strangers or hearing them, having company over, or simply just not wanting to hear people. They can't really be blamed for this because there's so many reasons people could want to keep things down or not hear others. Of course, as said, if they ignore you via text and keep up whatever it is and they don't respond to voice either then feel free to punish accordingly. At least, this is how I usually see things.

I might be misreading a thing here or there, but text warnings should always be given out alongside voice if people like to use the mic a lot. Some people keep voices off for one reason or another.

I'm pretty much in the same boat as Vexx as far as this goes, just the same rules would apply as usual not to abuse friendly in general which would namely be thinks like blocking shots/sapping in friendly/etc. A lot of people use colorme to make themselves solid looking and it sort of makes the one thing people complain about relating to the friendly command not as big a deal. Mostly for colors other than 'normal' that is.

I'm a bit unsure myself to be honest, I've mostly just been waiting to see everyone's statements and even now I'm not sure what to say just yet. Apologies on that, guess I'll keep an eye on this and think it over a bit more.

I'm not too sure about what to do about the Kypari situation at this moment since approaching about these issues can be hard, though I'm open to hearing what others might suggest. Certainly might need to have a sit down and talk if it goes on or has been going on but he might see it as everyone coming down on him judging by some talks a few people had with him before- though I wasn't directly there for some of those. He did apologize to me for how he was being at one point but I'm not sure what part exactly that was for, seemed about his attitude in general I'd guess- might have had to do with the promos which I can understand along with a few other things. I guess I would ask what everyone else would think is the best course of action at this time relating to that since I'm uncertain.

As far as promoting goes I decided to check around surf here and there to watch Vacindak. He seems well liked and wasn't letting people speak spanish but even if promoted I'll keep an eye out here and there just to be safe. I think he'd be fine as admin in other words. Sick has gotten a lot of support and I don't really see any reason not to give them a shot at it, and Elcark does his best to let people know what's allowed and what's not fairly often so nothing against that either. I'd say sure thing to giving them a shot and promoting Vac.

When I first started going around Surf more often I was told the same thing about the top not being considered spawn and that's what I stuck to, plus, I agree as well that spawn should only be defined as the area you spawn into and not areas you can get to that're near spawn. As long as they're not shooting down into the spawn place or anything I don't see much of a problem.

As far as the cptele thing goes...it's really hard to keep track of that since you'd need to be on top of everyone at once and can most of the time only go by word of mouth or spectating one person constantly- plus you would likely end up missing someone else doing it if they did. I'm fine with the idea of letting people cptele anywhere unless I misread that, or at least giving it a shot for a while.

Upon watching Tatost a bit more, he still has some attitude issues to work out, imo. Will look into Vacindak more as well.

Vacindak I'm sort of mixed on because of the things Vexx just stated, though I'll spend some time around seeing what happens if possible. He's a nice guy, though sometimes can be a bit too nice too- but well, I'd guess it depends on if he's ignoring certain rules or not. Otherwise he's done a good job with surf. Tatost had those hiccups before along with other immaturity issues but I'm mostly neutral about it, I just don't like how fierce his friends got when he wasn't promoted before or certain things he said but perhaps he has worked on it by now. I guess I'm mostly neutral on both, though if Vacindak upholds the rules I'd be pretty fine with him being admin since he is incredibly attentive to the surf server.

I'd think that unless they do something really heinous outside of the servers to warrant a ban that we should stick to only punishing them if they bring it to the servers. Heinous in question being things like death threats / threats to the server / ddos threats or planning group raids and so on. Otherwise for things like trolling or acting immature they can simply be blocked or ignored and that would likely be the end of it. So yes, I agree with Forest for the most part too outside of a few heavier exceptions- though those exceptions normally don't happen as it's usually just someone getting mad about their punishment or trying to jab at the one who did it to them as seen with the recent case.

I'd say +1 to being able to choose between the two, I could see it being helpful or a bit more convenient for certain folks- though that being said, it's fine if things stay the way they are, that'd be fine too. Also hopefully it's not too late to throw in my opinion to this.
