Soundboards on the other hand, i would say allow them for as long as people on the server generally seem ok with it, judging it more with common sense

If we do get more lax with this rule (which it looks like we will judging by the vote count) I really do hope that's not the way we do. I am very much against a majority rule decision. I really don't like the idea of the rules being directly influenced by who's on at the time, that could lead to things being ok when a certain clique is on and not ok when another is on. I would highly prefer it being allowed a little bit but not too much. Even then I would rather it just stay banned. I prefer voice chat being a thing where people actually talk instead of playing sound clips for the most part.

  2. I'd honestly rather we keep soundboards and voice changers banned completely. As for things like the immature voices rule we got more chill about that a while ago.

"We are hoping to see staff hold back a bit more regarding the immature voices rule as we feel that staff are jumping to stop people from harmless fun on the mic far too quickly. For example, if someone does an impression of myself having fun on the server, let them but not to a consistent level and as long as people aren't getting annoyed by it. However, do not forget that this is still a rule and is still not allowed, but let people feel a bit more free regarding the rule."

I overall think the rule is already in a pretty good place right now.

  3. For my old name 14grunt, I was quite a Halo fan back in the day. I was obsessed with Halo Custom Edition for a darn good while. I was 14 at the time when I wanted to finally create an online alias for myself and I quite adored the "grunts" from that game and thus the alias "14grunt" was born.

  4. Honestly, I hope you actually decide to just stay with this account. I understand why you want to do it, that way people won't give you hate for your past. Part of moving forward, the way I see it, is accepting that what's happened has happened. If anyone wants to continue to judge you based on that even when you've done nothing wrong currently, that's their problem.

  5. It does feel that some people really do go too far when it comes to certain individuals around here. It's not bad to call people out and criticize them when they do act out of line but they should only really have that be done to them WHEN they DO act out of line. It isn't necessary to to insult or treat them with unnecessary hostility over a few mistakes on their part.

You didn't need to tell me about it and I am happy that you did remove it. I just don't really think that it should have happened in the first place.

Like kpyari said, it was a mistake/accident I didn't realize the custom nametag until you pointed it out. Which i accepted but you do you.

Yes, I understand that mistakes do happen and it does make it better that you didn't intentionally break the rules in that regard. I'm just saying that you should have been able to see that beforehand. Ultimately though I do forgive you for that!

After I removed it and i thought it was over after you told me about it and just left it on that, I didn't know i needed to tell you i removed it.

You didn't need to tell me about it and I am happy that you did remove it. I was more so referring to that you didn't tell me that it was the name that it came with. I just don't really think that it should have happened in the first place.

You realize It was the original custom nametag for it when i purchased it and i forgot to remove the name for until you reminded me of it. I don't think weapon name is problem honestly and i don't know what you mean by friendly? My attitude on the server since its pretty much good since im now reformed.

I was not aware of this since you never told me about it. Even though your attitude is definitely better now, I still think it could be better and given your history I do think it's too soon to tell right now anyway.

  9. Not going to lie, from the last few times I've seen you, your behavior, while not terrible, hasn't really been great. A few weeks ago I had to warn you about having a slur in your cosmetics and just generally I haven't really seen you act that friendly. Given your history I think it would be better to wait for a bit to see if you really have improved, and if you really have then I can recommend you be staff!

  10. -1 Your behavior on the servers, from what I've seen, needs a bit of improvement. I believe I've even had to get onto you for toxicity towards other players at a point and your general attitude just seems unnecessarily hostile. If you can improve it though then I can recommend that you get member!

  12. I really do not think that having a political channel would have the results that would be desired. There's a reason why we normally don't allow major talk about politics, it's very prone to breaking out into argument due to how different the view points other people can have are. I agree with Chrono that it is possible for politics to be talked about maturely but that is something I fairly rarely ever see.

  13. I haven't really visited the #shitposting channel, ever, I think. That being said I am not too particularly fond of the idea of a channel where we allow things that normally wouldn't fly on other channels. As a few others here have suggested already though, maybe instead of completely removing it or just archiving it we could try putting in SOME rules of sorts. I think that would be preferable to be honest.

  14. -1 As annoying as it may be to be killed by someone who effectively has god-mode, imagining some maps without spawn protection just makes me shudder. Clocktown is a fine example of it, where even with it on a lot of spawncamping happens to BLU team in particular and it can be hard to push out of spawn even with it. While I do kinda agree with Ian that easy spawncamping is usually the result of poor map design, on TGH, since a lot of the maps are based off or from another game, they aren't really balanced for another game like TF2 and an easy solution to this would be to just have spawn protection on that way we don't have to end up removing a good percentage of the maps we have.
