Caleb956 451 Posted January 21, 2017 but now he's not on Steamrep. Did you happen to save his SteamID or anything of sorts? When you're doin these types of trades even if the user is "clean", if you are using a middleman or whatnot, it may be a good idea to save their information if something like this happens. Sorry that this happened to you :(
OneGlove 54 Posted January 22, 2017 So did anything happen, like did you lose your unusual, or is the situation just confusing and scary?
YeEternalTuna 246 Posted January 22, 2017 This is why you never use third party trading. I thought people would be smart enough not to do that. But damn thats fucked

Brady1780 21 Posted January 22, 2017 honestly you should have known it was a scam
Bone 364 Posted January 22, 2017 This was essentially a more advanced version of "Trade ur friend pls so I can c if its a dupe, thx" The question is, did the other guy lose his stuff too, or did two people plan this scam out against you? If the other guy lost his stuff, yeah the Sapphire guy's up to no good and starting some trouble in the neighborhood. But if the other guy still has his stuff, then both need to be reported to Steam/Steam REP Either way, they still need to be reported. If you can't find their profiles, go to your inventory and inventory history, find the trade and you'll get a link to his profile 1 YeEternalTuna reacted to this
Amymaniac 42 Posted January 22, 2017 bit of a silly scam to fall for don't you think? you should only trade directly to people that are buying something and never use brokers or middlemen in the future. 3 1 virr, Thorax_, realBelloWaldi and 1 other reacted to this
