This didnt happen, he needed a warning first. Point 3: To deal with a disrespecting player you still must do the following: Warn the player about the disrespect with a gag or mute. AND tell the player why he/she was gagged/muted. Kick the player if disrespecting continues with an explanation of why they were kicked. If the player comes back and continues then it is a 6 hour ban. Do not skip these steps. Guess what? He didnt fully do the first step. _____________________________________________________ So there issue here is hypocrisy, again. I was literally told very firmly by forest that we are to follow all steps as they are written, AND NEVER SKIP A STEP. Darkwolf did this twice, in the same night. Forest very well knows that a demotion is a very possible punishment for a staff member who does not follow the steps accordingly, and as we see here Darkwolf failed to do so. And where is the flame war? Am I in the wrong thread? All I see is constructive debate. Stop trying to get these ban protests closed for no reason at all, this is one of the most mild ones ive seen in quite a while. If this gets closed then I expect every other one that has debate in it to follow suit.

For the sake of myself, I'm going to be posting on what this Report Abuse thread is about (disregarding everything else, solely because it has all been mentioned enough times that I'm sure Darkwolf gets the picture) and that's it. I won't be replying to anyone or anything, should they choose to reply to my post. Alright, without further ado, here we go: "Refuses to acknowledge why he gags and or slays people." Fair enough. This is something all of our Staff Members should be thorough in. No matter how frivolous or ridiculous it is, the rules we abide by state that we must give a reason as to why the gag/slay/kick/ban was dealt, whether it be before the punishment is dealt or after (preferably after). Regardless of the rank of the player/member being punished, a reason should always be given. It's perfectly understandable that Chrono should know what to expect (even though I don't entirely see the problem with saying it in Admin Chat if no one is offended). "Threatens players when they question him. 'Recording demo whole time, dare you to fight it'." As Staff Members, we have no need to threaten members/players with a demo if they are disobeying. We have the ability to target all of our Staff for the sole purpose of keeping the peace and being able to punish those who aren't listening. In no way should we ever have to threaten with a demo, and if a demo is being recorded, it should not be used as a threat ingame to gain leverage into what you're saying. If you're recording a demo, then keep recording, don't feed the fire by saying something like this during your demo. "Wrongly gagged me." Given that the derogatory term "nigger" has been flung around everywhere in TeamSpeak and even been used by the Member in question is enough to not warrant any form of action, especially if it was uttered in Admin Chat. By no means should a Staff Member !gag another Staff Member for saying it in Admin Chat if it is being used as a joke or just playing around (however if a Staff Member is taking offence to it, do not continue and stop), especially if that Staff Member says it all the time out-of-game. The only reason it is given leniency in Admin Chat is because there is only a handful of Staff on at any given point, and more than likely they can take it as a joke. The use of this derogatory term in Public chat however; may insult or offend one of the many players who are on. Chrono used it via Admin Chat in a joking manner (from what I've heard). Should he had spammed admin chat with it, then an appropriate course of action should have been taken. Pretty long, but I'm pretty sure that covers everything based on the OP of this Report Abuse. Given the circumstances however, I will state that both Darkwolf and I were stressed and pressured the other night from the over abundance of complaints we received. Darkwolf did not have a level-head at the time, and yes, was easily provoked into immediate action. I can testify that he was not in a calm state of mind and may have acted rashly, but yes, this is not an acceptable means of "venting" and some rules were broken as an Admin. With that in mind, I strongly suggest to any Staff Member who has built up stress to log off and vent before getting back on. This will prevent you from making any substantial damage by breaking rules or skipping steps, and will also keep threads like this to a minimum. Quick note on the "flame war", as long as this thread stays on the topic of dark wolf needing a reality check or attitude change and doesn't turn into a constant insult war then the thread should stay open. Now where to begin? DARKWOLF GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND LISTEN TO US!!!! I have heard countless times and seen countless time of you not responding the way you should as a DM or of someone in a position of leadership should. Like others said, shadowspys thread should have been a wake-up call that people have unhappy with your attitude lately. It's not just what's in the two threads its just all the time. These are just examples of what you have been like (and these were minor examples). Now the way I see it there are only two effective outcomes. 1) major attitude change from dark 2) demote darkwolf I would rather see the first happen but I'm not sure if it will happen.

Adding on to my previous post, Darkwolf I've noticed that you've created an atmosphere which discourages any kind of dissenting opinions. As a community people have to be able to speak freely and be able to voice their opinions without worrying about demotions as a result. If someone thinks different than you, it shouldn't eliminate them from a chance of promotion or create an opportunity for demotion. As a division manager you need to try to consider the ideas of all, which is why we call ourselves a community.

I think it's about time I gave my input. In the past, Matsi was just "that guy" who excessively posted about every little detail of either Staff Abuse or rule breaking. Needless to say, he has greatly improved since then and not only does he provide legitimate evidence, but he now keeps a calm and registered tone in addressing anything (unlike his constant blowing-up and raging in the past). I have seen a mature and active player rise out of those ashes, and I sincerely and honestly think Matsi may be ready to take a position of power. For the sake of being as thorough as possible, I'm going to include an A/M scale (not required). A: 8/10 - One of the more active players I've seen, both on Counter-Strike: Source (Jailbreak) as well as our TeamSpeak server. Both of which is to be expected of someone in a position of power as a Staff Member. Activity is where it should be. M: 8/10 - Tremendous improvement since his last-known personality of blowing-things-out-of-proportion. He now keeps a calm collected tone when addressing a problem or situation, and isn't afraid to give his complete opinion regarding anything. I have also seen a fair amount of patience, as well as the ability to be the mediator in a problem or any other scenario. Back since he was a CS:GO player, I have not seen any form of outburst or aggression arise from him, making him an ideal Staff Member. Maturity is where it should be. D: +1 you have both earned and deserve the position of Moderator, and it would be an honour to have you able to moderate in our CS:S Division! I realize this, which is what I stated in my first post. It was a perfectly fine abuse report, but once threats started to happen people became defensive. There was no reason for darkwolf to comment like that behind our back, thats not something that should have been done. And if this was an abuse thread for me, shadow, or really anybody not a DM then it wouldnt be an issue of growing up. I came in here to state a legitimate opinion, and get shot down for trying to say it.

Warrior what you are arguing is a mute point. It's already been decided that it is allowed until someone says to stop as a warning. Lets get back to reality, 95% of the staff and members use it consistently. I have seen it spammed in admin chat more times than I can remember and its never an issue. Why is it suddenly the forbidden word when it never was before... all of you are bringing in the most trivial things to try and attack each other.

I was stressed last night because of PERSONAL things going on. Plus the fact that I got called on by several people because of mods/admins not doing their job. It was like what, after midnight? I was finally getting tired and got called on so I checked in on it. Don't go on the internet if you are having personal problems. It leads to abuse. Ask jay when he drinks, or any other staff who have been demoted for not doing their job right because they were having "personal problems". I agree. So suddenly when someone who you clearly have a hostile relationship says "nigger" in admin chat where only you, gkoo, and sonic rainbow could see it makes it disrespectful? Yeah, I don't think so. Agreed, I don't want someone demoted for not handling a situation as well as they should. We rebanned LQ because the night he got banned, he did his own special kind of day again. 3 rounds in a row, and bleed had to be messaged to come ban him. again, it is frowned upon, but not outright restricted. of the 3 admins on, I know for a fact Gkoo and I call drpepper it all the time. SonicRainbow is younger, so anything is funny to him. hue. but really, he didn't care, didn't say anything the first 2-3 times i said it , and didn't say anything after the gag. Darkwolf said in this thread, he personally does not care about it being used. and he clearly didn't care the first few times i said it either since he would have gagged me then. but he didn't. it was when i called him out for camping he gagged me. Regardless of whether I personally know what I did was wrong or not, he should be presenting a reason to them as to why they were gagged. I could have been a random member for all intents and purposes, and he would be REQUIRED to do the same. Darkwolf was trying to say that any use of the word "nigger" is prohibited on servers, which it's not (unless used in an openly racist/disrespectful/offensive way, which I clarified in my post). I was not saying that calling someone a nigger isn't racist/disrespectful in any way, and if you think I did then you're delusional. And to all those who continue to say "oh serb told darkwolf to close it cuz there was gonna be a flame war" I honestly doubt that after 3 replies to a thread (2 of which seemed fairly neutral) that you would be able to tell if a flame war was going to break out. Abuse reports are here to root out the staff that can not handle their staff position any more, closing them after only a few replies or whenever an argument breaks out itsn't going to do any good. I got at least 4 different messages on Steam while I was trying to do something personal, telling me none of the mods/admins online were doing anything about the rule breakers. I got on, and what happens? Rules are broken, and none of them do anything about it. A few were laughing about the rule breakers, doing nothing else. I called you stupid one time, and over STEAM chat. Again, I was stressed out, and Forest and I spoke. I'm sorry I called you stupid. I was so stressed out and have gotten over it. How is it camping? Alright, instead of immediately requesting a close to protect your friend from facing any type of ridicule, let people say what they feel is necessary. Closing everything under the reason of "flame war" prevents anybody from ever speaking up and to be frank, the people that are saying it are only saying it because Darkwolf is the one under scrutiny. It is a derogatory term and while it may not offend some, there are people that most certainly can be offended and you should be considerate of them. I was debating doing anything about this, mostly for reasons that I know people can get pissed sometimes and shouldn't be put under fire for letting it slip a little... but I've talked to people about it and feel like its just something that should be added to this thread; and it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way too much. Long story short, I asked for clarification on why we could declare a warday later on in the day. I never said I was right and he was wrong, but I was looking for an explanation about it. I felt that it was not handled appropriately and the language used was not required at all.
