I was not kicked yesterday. I will state again that I was muted, and I left after questioning the decision.

    Division:

    Team Fortress 2 In-Game Name:

Brian | im tired of tf2 badmins Identity:

    STEAM_0:0:34560453 Ban Type:

    Server Ban Information:

Okay let's get started. I apologize if it seems I'm rambling, but I'm genuinely upset.

    The Facts
I was playing on the server for nearly 5 hours before I was banned with no prior requests by admins to change my name.

I did not receive a message prior to this ban that my behavior or name was in anyway shape or form offensive.
I did not receive a kick, short ban or personal message requesting my name be changed (to which I would have happily obliged) and if I did, I didn't see it as I was engrossed in a tale about ants.

    Statement

I disagree that the length of this ban should be so long. I did not receive a formal talking to about my behavior or even a temporary day ban. So why go from zero to one hundred so quickly, especially when I was never punished before it got so out of control. I think it's because the admins have some personal qualm with me. Now, I have never personally met most of these admins, and to be frank I don't care to, as I am no longer an active member of the Team Fortress 2 Division. What I do care about though, is that these admins do their jobs correctly. Even if I was informed to change my name, the length of the ban needs to be discussed.

When I was a member of the staff, we had a simple procedure. It went like this.
    Verbal Warning
    Kick from server with reason
If they rejoin within the hour and haven't changed, ban them for a day.
If it persists, ban them for a week/permanently.

Now, why do I get banned nearly instantaneously for such an extended period? My last ban before this was a server mute, but that was only on one server, and I left immediately after it was issued, and even before then the last ban was back in 2015.

The only logical option is to assume the admins have some sort of personal vendetta against me, which was never stated out loud, evidence by the fact that the ban was for such a long time, there was no recent member protest/ ban request, and the fact that I am posting this thread in shock. I thought we were getting along well in fact. I'll be the first to admit I'm no angel, but if you have issues with me, let's talk it out.

Which brings me to my main issue with the current administration.

    Problems with Authority

The Xeno Gamers TF2 Division has become too secretive, and excels in poor communication skills. I am genuinely upset that I was not contacted by any staff member, either by on the forums, or added on steam, or even kicked with a message that says relax. There was zero effort of communication, and the communication that was given was particularly half assed, as not seeing a message in a trade chat results in a one month ban. The only communication the admins appear to have, with a select few who have stood out, particularly Clark and Egossi, is with each other.

    Read my ban message here.

Now, what history do I have of major toxicity? I have received one mute in the past 6 months, and I still stand by that reasoning that the child was being immature and kept talking. Other than that, there are very few, if any, records of this behavior. Now, if there are records with all of my behavior incidents that was collected but I wasn't punished, shouldn't they have been handled then, instead of making one large folder in case an incident of this nature ever occurred?

Also, why was I banned by a different admin rather than the one who made the claims?

    Conclusion

I'm upset. I feel like I wasn't given proper treatment, simply because I was a prior member. The rules have changed, and I feel that a near two years absence (with a bit of playtime here and there) warrants a bit of adjustment to the new rules.

Am I disagreeing with the ban? Yes. But the part I most disagree with is the length of the ban. I would have respected one day, maybe even three days. A month, however, is simply ridiculous. I was not given a proper warning to warrant this length. I wish that my ban be removed entirely, or at least be shortened in length to adjust for the lack of communication on the part of the admins.

    Thanks for reading my thread.

    TL;DR
Got a hefty ban with little to no prior warning or punishments and want either an explanation with evidence or an unban.

Closing the thread now, as there no longer needs to be discussion.

The month ban was insanely excessive, especially with no kick and also with a ban on brian without getting his side.
His ban will stay to a day, will be discussed with the higherups but right now Silence and I both agree anything more than a day is excessive over something so small. We are not a clan based on censorship, and hopefully people's feelings can handle being called badmin.
PLEASE use common sense when making bans, and try to give adequate warnings before bans unless it's hacking or mass freekilling (which we have other rules for)
Ratings should not be considered personal attacks, as I was told in the past by the higher ups when I complained about it. That being said, if you're giving people FUCK OFF rating, you should not be complaining about it in the first place.
We are NOT a safe space

I will have huge discussions with our higher ups and then staff about what common sense means, and how we should try to be fair in all our bans, and try to understand that we should not strive for bans, but instead do our due diligence to get things resolved in a matter that everyone is happy. This is clearly a situation that has not met those standards. This fault also comes from myself for not being so involved with TF2, but I will be from now on.

You did zero research and went based off of other people said, then used that information in your post. There's no telling how correct your information is on Brian.

Rejects was cut a lot of slacks for blatantly lying and abusing his powers. I'm not going to hang on this too long to minimize the issues this thread is already causing people, but, the fact he was allowed to stay in this clan is definitely slack. This was probably a mixture of a lot of people liking him and slack for his work on the servers.

Now, banning someone for the name "admins are badmins" is not fair. That's just shows certain staff members have thin skins. Staff should never have to use their powers for insults against them unless they are getting flat out personal attacks or are disrupting the server.

I ain't getting involved. All i'm going to say is that Brian yes had a history of doing this. I have nothing against brian and i am friends with him but i won't deny that he has done this for a little while but even then i personally didn't have a problem with it because it wasn't so bad to the point i punished, however that is MY opinion.

not sure why i'm being mentioned and why this is brought up but cool bro thanks.

To which I reply that there has been no prior history besides some actions I was already punished for. A week ban for not seeing a message is still too excessive, especially when the only evidence submitted was outdated evidence including stuff I was punished for, and a name change punishment that I didn't recognize at the time.

I honestly don't see how the logic is he was banned for a week 2 years ago, better ban him for a month now.

And yet i can get about twice as many higher ups to say the opposite. At most a day ban should be appropriate. This logic actually hurts my brain. Holy shit.

Because the system is really flawed and miscommunication leads to multiple warnings and kicks.
You can join the server, break a rule, get warned and come back the next day and rinse and repeat.

So you guys chose to never ban him those times that he's so toxic that you feel that's all he joins the servers for, but the time his name is "tired of tf2 badmins" was the tipping point for a month long ban? You've gotta be kidding me man.

He was on yesterday for 6 hours with Egossi and other members on TGH, are you telling me he went through the server only to insult people? Also, this whole thread is based on your conversation to brian asking him to name change, which he didn't, to which you asked Vexx for a month ban after. So what you're saying is also false since no one apparently had an issue with him that entire day, but according to you, all he does is come on just to insult people.
