  1. "The Warden must first state that they will be playing first/last reaction. If the Warden calls out 'First Reaction', the first T to react to his order will be shot. Any Ts after that cannot be shot. An example of this would be the Warden calling out, "First Reaction jump" The first T to jump will be killed, but any Ts that jumped after that will not be killed. Another example of this would be the Warden calling out, "Last Reaction crouch!" The last T to crouch will be killed. If two Ts jumped at the same time, they both live. Valid first/last reaction commands: crouch, jump, type, spray, one step in a direction. First/last reaction cannot be played to determine LR. You are not allowed to tarp with crouching or jumping rules during first reaction last reaction even if it`s past 5:00." Since you brought it up dark, lets get this straight. Did he or did he not play it for LR? No. He didn't break anything in the motd. This is the same thing that happened last night, there was no rule about it and asked why it wasn't allowed. Same response from you "you're wrong I'm right, get it together stupid admins". Luckily forest was there and we discussed it, decided that its best not to allowed wardays after cells open, and went on with life. Forest was mature and took my perspective into view, as did I take his. I would assume some of his courtesy came because of my comments in other threads, and I appreciate that he listened. Personal issues? Seriously, TAKE A BREAK. You all do a ton of work, you need to take breaks. I wouldn't, nor anyone would care if you did respond. We understand the need to step away for a while. Your life is more important than this damn game.
  2. Have you tried verifying the integrity through steam?
  3. Its more than that matsi, its a continuation of the last protest, him gagging and ignoring chrono, and being rude to me in a steam chat asking a simple question. You should be warned before, most of the time I will say it in chat or all chat, but what other people do is out of my control. Sorry they don't follow the rules on you, but a DM should be.
  4. Point 2: "Mic Spammers If a mic spammer joins the server and will not stop after a warning, you must mute and then kick him if he does it again. If he rejoins and continues to do this, that is a bannable offence. An admin must ban him for 240 minutes exactly. Anything above or below is breaking the rules." This didnt happen, he needed a warning first. Point 3: To deal with a disrespecting player you still must do the following: Warn the player about the disrespect with a gag or mute. AND tell the player why he/she was gagged/muted. Kick the player if disrespecting continues with an explanation of why they were kicked. If the player comes back and continues then it is a 6 hour ban. Do not skip these steps. Guess what? He didnt fully do the first step. _____________________________________________________ So there issue here is hypocrisy, again. I was literally told very firmly by forest that we are to follow all steps as they are written, AND NEVER SKIP A STEP. Darkwolf did this twice, in the same night. Forest very well knows that a demotion is a very possible punishment for a staff member who does not follow the steps accordingly, and as we see here Darkwolf failed to do so. And where is the flame war? Am I in the wrong thread? All I see is constructive debate. Stop trying to get these ban protests closed for no reason at all, this is one of the most mild ones ive seen in quite a while. If this gets closed then I expect every other one that has debate in it to follow suit.
  5. I called you stupid one time, and over STEAM chat. Again, I was stressed out, and Forest and I spoke. I'm sorry I called you stupid. I was so stressed out and have gotten over it. How is it camping? You said "nigger" in admin chat. It's a valid reason to gag. You're not allowed to say nigger, and you know it. Making an abuse thread on me for gagging you seems pretty pointless. Yes, I should have told you why you said it, but you are STAFF and very much know why you got gagged. And I understand that, but rather than forest apologizing for it, shouldn't you have? From general server rules: 11. Racism and sexism is frowned upon in our servers, using it excessively or in an insulting manner is not allowed at all. IF a mod or higher warn you to stop (by gagging, muting or simply messaging you) , you must stop. This is the first and only warning you get and it must be in this manner. If you do say something racist or sexist, it must be very minimal and not in an offensive way and if not stopped after a warning, you will be punished severely. The person these comments are directed too and any staff member can at any time state that these are offensive and you must stop immediately. If you gagged Chrono for racism, that's considered a warning and you must give him a reason. It doesn't matter if its racism, it's allowed if it doesn't offend and I'm sure you didn't really care. He used it to get your attention after telling you already to stop camping. As DM you should know not to camp, and if called out should know to slay yourself. I've seen you use that word plenty of times, yet all of a sudden he can't use it? Hypocrisy.
  6. I should clarify that I didn't take it as disrespect, but rather an inappropriate response. All that had to be said was "You can't have a warday after cells open".. What was said was rude and not something that should come from a DM.
  7. I think blax should be gone too, a map that is too small and no games.

Its okay guys, just let the poor kid talk to himself, he gets lonely sometimes.. its okay Gkoo we all do.
  9. After the attitude and arguing I heard today, im changing my vote to a -1. You can't be complaining, being rude and disrespectful, when you are submitting an application. I may be the only one to -1 you, but you gotta learn to argue without disrespecting or being rude.
  10. I was debating doing anything about this, mostly for reasons that I know people can get pissed sometimes and shouldn't be put under fire for letting it slip a little... but I've talked to people about it and feel like its just something that should be added to this thread; and it just kinda rubbed me the wrong way too much. Long story short, I asked for clarification on why we could declare a warday later on in the day. I never said I was right and he was wrong, but I was looking for an explanation about it. I felt that it was not handled appropriately and the language used was not required at all.

    Free?

He looks too much like Jesus, and its a little creepy.
  12. It really does come down to staff getting on. CSS hasn't had hub either, yet there are still times we get 35-40 people and the game is ancient. All it takes is 1 staff member to get on, then it just slowly picks up. I've seen it go from 1 (after midnight, 3am est) to 20 in a matter of minutes because a staff member showed up.
  13. Just opened yesterday. Just tone down the excessive arguments, you seem to do it a lot. I'll still +1 because of your activity and knowledge of rules. M:7/10 A: 9/10

All Divisions * You cannot be a moderator without first joining the clan * You cannot apply for forum moderator * You must have read and be familiar with the Admin Handbook * You must have donated to apply! 15. +1 would be a great addition, very active, respectful, and knows the game inside and out.
  16. Silence won't give the DLs of CS:S server access. Other wise shit would happen Our DL is inactive anyway :/ Lol, half the time it's a T that does it You mean half the time it's @@Hellafun13 ?
  17. If the warden can't tarp before 5:00, why are CT's allowed to? #motdlogic And yes I realize this happens after 5 too, but I think it should not be allowed anyway. Many times you have 12 CT's talking at the same time and you hear "run to pool", only to find out it wasn't the warden. Pssssst, add it to the motd as it is a serious tarp.
  18. Like other have said, it's impossible to see everything. Sometimes we're AFK, other times we are watching a specific person.. You never know. Are there admins that abuse and fail to do their job? Hell yeah. Call those admins out, it's the only way to solve the issue. I try to pay attention the best that I can, but sometimes I miss something. If something is wrong message us on steam if you don't get an answer. I find it much easier to respond there.. Plus I see it if I'm tabbed out.
  19. @@Matsi First off this is from the motd "First/last reaction cannot be played to determine LR". It's not the issue of communication as in being able to get in contact at anytime, but rather when important things are discussed. We don't need the plugin, and how do you know it won't work without trying it? And.. by that logic would all ban requests/member protest be created to start shit?
  20. @@Forest I'll just start of by saying thanks, and don't ever feel like you guys don't make it a more enjoyable experience. I appreciate the time all of you put in, all the crap you put up with, and especially for the response. Thanks again, I really do appreciate it. The purpose of this is not to ridicule you guys, complain, nor to be a dick but I just figured it was time that the issues were brought up. 1st paragraph: I don't know if I would say that Admins are not expected to know every part of the MOTD, in my experience I must know it pretty close to perfect as would DM's. I fully expect there to be an issue every once in a while with misinterpretation or confusion; I've done it before, you forget things... i get it. There may be certain people "out to get him", but my concern is from the amount of people I have heard of dislike for what is going on. I know Dark puts up with a whole ton of crap, has a life outside of here, and is always active (and again, i truly appreciate it), but there needs to be a time where he realizes that he should listen to us and if we are wrong, correct us appropriately. 2nd: As I was telling you in game, there is a lot of times where it really comes down to a common sense rule. Baiting, gun planting, spamming guns, spamming chat/mic, racism, disrespect and many other rules are all things that I don't believe require us to ask them before hand.. and these cover 75% of the slays. I do agree that freekills need to be dealt with differently, asking the offender their side of the story. As far as I know this is how it has always been done, and maybe this is what you were meaning to continue. Obviously you see different things than I do since you are watching staff members closely, but as far as I know I haven't seen a lot of issues with this. I would never just slay someone if it was an iffy situation, I always ask first, then decide what to do (unless its one of the common sense ones). In regards to providing the reason, I'll admit I don't do it everytime, but I do my best effort to let them know. Sometimes I dont make it visible and just pm them, so just keep that in mind if you dont see a reason. Do we need to improve giving reasons? Yes. I'm hoping this is kind of the idea you had. It's partially my fault for continuing to argue about it, and I apologize if it pissed you off. At the time it seemed like you were saying it directly at us in a harsh tone, and being already ticked off about other things I probably took it too harshly.. sorry. 3rd/4th: Maybe its just me, but I really don't think contacting another DM about it would solve anything. I'm probably wrong with that assumption, but with how close I assumed you 3 were.. it just didn't seem like it would do anything. I'm not all too concerned about the MOTD issue as I know it really wasn't any of your faults, but I know many people would like to be in on any discussions about it (I know there have been some outside of the forums). You may all have your faults, but you also all are great people who made it fun for me every night. We pretty much progressed through xG together and I hope you all realize that I have absolutely nothing against you.. but as an older member I don't want to see anything bad happen and feel like letting you 3 know what I and others have noticed will help us in the long run.
  21. "I mean if you did mess up then shit own up to it say you messed up and move on." I wish this was the very first thing in the MOTD, it would solve most things. And I forgot to add, its not necessarily the fact that it got closed, but rather we got no reasons as to its closure that were legitimate. To me it sounds as though it was gonna be "dealt" with hopes that it would just slide by. @@DrPepperPhreak I've been drinking it longer than you goml
  22. As my general rule: Do not start a flame war, do not disrespect, nor bring any outside arguments into this thread. If you find it necessary to dispute someone here, do it in a mature manner. If you disagree, go ahead and say it, but don't come in here and say everything I said was wrong without some sort of backing to your claim. I don't know where to start, but there is a whole lot of crap going on right now, but to me it seems that a majority of these things are getting completely ignored for reasons unknown. People try to bring up and issue and they are either ridiculed or ignored entirely. Thats not cool guys, and in a matter of hours has sent a riptide through the CS:S division. Its bad enough as it is that we are having some trouble bringing in enough money to keep the servers going, but to have this happen too? 1) Let's start off with the rebelling on LR rule thread. This thread has been open for 15 days as of right now and it more than enough support from every level of staff. This requires a simple MOTD edit, yet we keep waiting for silence to do something? What? Take control of your division, make changes for the better. Sitting here and putting it on someone else, whom is very busy, does nothing. You all want to become a better div, but not implementing good ideas doesn't do anything. This could have been taken care of a week ago, yet it still sits with any resolution. 2) Darkwolfs abuse thread. Yeah I know "stop trying to start something" blah blah, im not actually trying to start something, im trying to solve something. I hardly think closing that thread so quickly was the right thing to do. How are we supposed to question those with more power if the threads are closed right away. Nobody had really started talking crap in there, it was a more than legitimate thread. This has been brought up more than once, but kudos to Shadow for taking the first step. This isnt a matter of whether or not Dark violated any rules or failed to do his job. I bring this up to question our ability to question those with authority over us. If that was posted for someone like me, warriors, or really anyone not a DM then it would have been left open and a conclusion most likely would have been seen. But now what happens? What about all the people who want to say something but cant? I bet you more than just Shadow feel the same way. 3) This encompasses both 1 and 2, and is what really bothers me and many other members, there is a huge lack of communication and ability to input our ideas on thoughts. Mod applications were removed > Only DM's could now bring in new staff members, regardless of our opinions. Threads closed before any input > Can't really say whats going on, both out of fear and no outlets to do it through Rules changed without acknowledgement > Rules are randomly changed without any input from members No trust > DM's clearly don't trust the other staff members. We were given many many warnings from Forest to ask before slaying; this makes sense in maybe 5% of the cases. We got mod and admin because we knew the rules, we know when to slay and when to ask. It was beginning to sound like if we didnt ask everytime then we will have punishments. Absolutely no communication between us and the DM's > Question their decisions, rules, or thought process and you get ridiculed. I'm questioning you because I see it a different way, EXPLAIN to me why your way is right. Im not doing it to argue, im doing it to learn. The communication is pitiful, we can't question anything that goes on. I, as well as many other well known and long time members are finding it less than appealing to play anymore because there is no fun in it. We are here to make it better, but in every attempt we make to question something it gets ignored or shot down, thats not how it was 2 months ago.
  23. A quick summary of whats gone on: 1) Reinstate the mod application and make sure there are some requirements in regards to donating: $10 donation to apply. Same format as before, same requirements. (2 months in xG, 100 posts that werent spammed) 2) Change PM requirements: MUST be in xG 1 month, must have 50 posts. @@Gkoo @@DarkWolf6052
  24. I love this idea, great thinking. I personally would +1 for the return of applying for mod, however I do think that we should keep the old requirements (donate $10, at least 100 posts on forums, and 2 months of membership). I'd also like to put some kind of prerequisites on people who want to get Paid-Mod, and regarding getting promoted to full moderator status, as some people in the past have gotten PM within days of being accepted into the clan, and within 1 or 2 promo/demo's have gotten full moderator (even though they might not fulfill any of the requirements of mods). When people are eager to donate it is great and all, but I don't really think that people who have barely been in the clan should just be immediately handed over powers, and given a quick promotion because they're insecure about being a PM or something. I would suggest just taking the requirements to apply and slicing them in half (only 1 month of membership and 50 forum posts to get PM), just so we can see if the person is actually dedicated enough to work somewhat for PM, other than just forking over $30. I don't know if its really something we have to change in regards to who gets pm, but rather what happens after they pay for it. If they want to pay the money for it, let them have it BUT we definitely need to revise how they get from PM to M. Its not fair in the least for them to get M within a month or 2. It took me many many months (6 to be exact) to achieve moderator status. It took another 9 to get admin. Yet someone can pay for mod, and get the official status in a matter of a month or 2? Thats a bunch of bs. I don't think they should be promoted if we get a mod application going again. They should be allowed to buy it whenever, but when the time comes that they want the dirty "P" removed, then they have to take it to the community with an app. ____________________________________________________________________________________ @@JayBreezy Do they deserve it? No, absolutely not. And I would be pretty certain that the current staff members are smart enough to -1 an app of someone who doesn't deserve it. I don't really see any issue with reinstating the old way of doing it. It produced some, actually almost all of the best staff members there are today. It would be pretty difficult to name a person who got promoted after the applications stopped that has gone on to be a well recognized and important member of xG. ____________________________________________________________________________________ I also believe this is a first step towards strengthening the communication people us staff members and the DM's. Its getting really annoying not knowing what is going on, not having much say in what occurs, and generally having the staff members less than satisfied with what has been going on recently. Stop waiting around for things to change themselves and START COMMUNICATING WITH US. Ignoring the problems shows a lack of maturity and ability to take responsibility.
