I reviewed the demo, and considering how he is landing all of his shots while spinning around crazily, something is definitely fishy. We already have rules in place that say if you spam that kind of shit in the chat, you are at risk for ban. Also, it doesn't help his case that he already has a VAC ban. I'll wait for @kbraszzz @metalslug53 @Moosty or @Rejects to voice their opinion. I vote to change his ban to a perma.

It's essentially the same lines behind dieZombie's and Caleb's bans. Contributing to spam, disrespecting fellow players, voteban abuse, etc. The reasons are listed on your actual ban which is two days long. Tomorrow at 7:45PM, your ban will be lifted. @kbraszzz Confirmed the ban. ~Closed? I guess?

You completely ignored what I was explaining on the server. You're active on the forums and multiple protest threads, I've seen you, so you know very well that many admins take that as trolling. I even sent you a link to a thread where you were active, and you completely ignored me! I never said that you didn't know the rules. What I said was you know the rules but you were acting like you don't. This was going on for over three maps. I was being polite and letting it slide for the first map until you guys started crossing the line and getting serious with it. I told the entire server over the mic "Let's calm down with the attitude and stop spamming". Then the map changed and you and four other people continued. It doesn't need to be continuous. Like I said, you and four other people were filling up the chat with it, even when I clearly said for everyone to stop. Need I point out: I gagged the two people that were new to the server, and the people that were regulars and knew the rules were given a worse punishment according to how badly they broke them: dieZombies was given a 4-hour ban because he is somewhat new and doesn't know all of the rules. He hasn't been banned in the past. You were given a day ban because you are not new, and you are active on the forums and some threads where the rules are discussed, but you have not been banned in the past. Oh geez was given a two-day ban because he was active on the forums and was a regular, before he quit, and he was banned in the past for getting out of hand. There was clearly a problem on the server when we were on the MLCastle map, as I could feel a fight brewing. People were yelling on the mic and in chat, so I changed the map. Then you guys start getting all stupid in the chat saying I'm "salty" and "abusive", then the lenny faces fill up the chat again. To sum up the entire situation with everyone involved: It was a combination of the spam of lenny faces, unconstructive criticism, foul language, voteban abuse, and disrespect to fellow players. A clusterfuck overall. Just next time, use common sense and feel when it's getting out of control. If the chat is being filled up with "salt" and lenny faces, know when to stop. Especially when a staff member asks everyone to. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, before even considering bans, I talked with @kbraszzz and he said he was okay for a day ban. Notice again that I did not give everyone a day ban, and it was scaled to the severity of what they did (some less severe, some more). Your ban is expiring in approx. 6 hours and 45 minutes (7:44 PM EST), I think you can wait.

From what I'm hearing, we all agree that he should be banned and that this plugin should be added. He has been permanently banned from all servers. He was mouthing off to members about how he had stolen his pan, so that was the final straw. I consulted with Kbraszzle and we both agreed that it is a federal crime (Grand Larceny), and that we should not be allowing someone like that to hang around with the community. I'm leaving the thread open for further input. BANNED

Alright. I've discussed it with the people involved, and they have assured me that you are not intentionally causing problems. My advice is: If you have a problem with our staff, please contact the DMs or DLs and we will handle it. Slyly slandering behind peoples' backs will only get you into trouble. Chats are logged, so trying to lie to the staff will only get you in deeper trouble These tips are not just for you, but for everyone. The ruling is that your ban will be reduced to a day (aka unbanned because you already served a day), and COREY's will be increased to a week. ~Closed

"...was not a serious statement" By how you were both talking to me and others on the server when I joined, and the related context, seemed pretty serious to me. "Read the rest of the chat logs" There is nothing related to you on pages 58 and 59. I looked. "I was afk" Why were people responding to you? "Because I felt like nothing was wrong" That is your opinion, and it is irrelevant to the situation. That is the decision of a staff member. "You banned me without a warning or an explanation" If I recall correctly, you both are hanging around and COREY was just banned yesterday. If that isn't warning enough for you, what about you saying you were regular? You should know the rules. Not to mention, you were both fighting with Cain when he joined and heard what was going on. I had no clue what had transpired the previous day, which is why I decided to put in the ban. Did I state you couldn't be friends with him? Nope. But we aren't talking about murder are we? If you want to make that kind of analogy. You guys were in the exact same "room" at the exact same time, during which the events transpired. How does that not seem suspicious?

That wasn't my point. My point was that they were already warned about this kind of stuff, as one of them was banned earlier. Not to mention, they both were lying when I joined saying that nothing was going on. By how they were both defending each other over the mic, that throws up a red flag, and being friends on steam solidifies the red flag. That gives me suspicion that they were providing each other with a fake alibi. Not only was the ban for slandering people, they were trying to start fights with other players on the server. Please note for everyone that the bans are not the same amount. They are staggered.

No no no no no. Your ban was from last night's events. I was called on by @Rejects and I was told that there were spammers/people using disrespectful language with other players. You and COREY proceeded to construe the truth, as you were the only ones on the mic, and state that nothing was going on. That was until I noticed people in the chat freaking out. They were stating that you were talking shit behind other staff's backs and trying to start fights, even when one of you was just banned yesterday for an hour! Not to mention, it doesn't help that you guys are both buddies and doing this together. That only makes me assume you guys are doing this on purpose. I then checked the chat logs, which show evidence that you guys were saying things to people to try and upset them. I don't appreciate you slandering xG staff, and then when we come on to help, you guys act like nothing happened. I'm going to dump all of that evidence here. Please note that the evidence is not in order and that the only people that had mics on the server at the time were Xerses and COREY. You can see people are responding them in the chat.

You're twisting my words. Notice I said who the STAFF verify. Please stop.

However, if I may suggest, if they have committed a major offense that is verified by staff, they can be permanently banned. We can decide what the major offenses are (i.e. Unusual Scamming, PayPal scamming, etc.)

I really don't think it will. In all of my time running servers, and I have used this plugin in the past, it has only marked people that actually deserved it as scammers. Also, it's not like half of our server is scammers. Getting tagged as one will be a rarity? If they are, I'm scared. Also, if what you are saying is true (no one trades), then it won't even matter. Why are you contradicting yourself?

Not to mention, if we don't do something about this, we are supporting criminal activity. That's like letting a known art thief into the most expensive art gallery in the world. You're shooting yourself in the foot.

It's stupid that it's illegal? I trade on xG servers, and I'd rather not have people like that running around and attempting to scam the younger kids we have on the servers. I've already been called on multiple times by people who were scammed! The people had to file SteamRep reports. Not to mention, it's not like we don't have randoms that come on and actually trade. Just because you don't do something, doesn't mean other people don't do it. Also, donation powers are a side thing that we allow on the server. Lets not forget what the server was created for in the first place, so the rules should pertain to that. :|

Oof. This is a fine line we are walking. Steamrep states that anyone who supports scammers by trading with them will be marked as "caution" or "warning". As it hasn't even been a year yet, I don't think we should be allowing him to run free on our servers. I'm up for making a rule that states that your SteamRep ban must be OVER a year old before you can even step foot in an xG trade server, and then add a little disclaimer at the bottom that says it is the responsibility of the people on the server to check the rep of the people they are trading with! Paypal scams are a serious offense as they can constitute grand larceny charges if they go over a certain amount! That's a federal offense! @Rhododendron Steamrep plugin: SteamRep
