Community Leaders in a nut shell.
 
My suggestion would be to set this in stone somewhere, that way Members will know who to consult for whatever problem(s) they are facing. I'll admit to dropping the ball on that during the initial setup of the Community Leader rank since I only gave a very vague and brief description of their duties.
 
It was the intention of Serb and I to create a committee based on the duties of Co-Leaders, but with a narrowed specific focus on community. This is why they were stripped of their powers ingame.
 
If the problem here is one of trust, then the easiest alternative would involve the community itself to elect Members to the aforementioned position of power. Though the trouble here is that it would require an actual effort; people electing someone and giving valid reasoning to back them up. Something of which seems to dwindle more and more each day (look at Member Submissions. That's right, I'm bringing this up again). Once that has happened, it'll be the responsibility of someone (cough Silence. Lets face it, the guy owns XenoGamers. Of course he ought to be the one to pick.) to hand pick those who has been deemed.. Worthy, for a lack of better words.
 
I'd love to bring up more on the subject by giving my very own TL;DR post, but I'm currently at work so this will have to do. I may post again with more detail later in the day.

It's obvious that Armin's.. Statement, for a lack of better words, triggered you in some way. While it's perfectly understandable that you would want to voice your opinion, there was no reason to belittle Armin's statement in such a hostile way. I won't say it wasn't unprovoked, because it certainly looks like it was in some way, but do keep in mind that the intention of that thread (correct me if I'm wrong) was to announce a life decision that was made by Armin, not to berate anyone. Granted, I personally don't think the whole "if you're not a douchebag, you'll refer to me as I want you to refer to me" (paraphrasing) was completely necessary, but it's such a frivolous comment to completely derail a thread over considering there are millions of people who enforce their own values.
 
Again, I get that you wanted to state your opinion, there isn't anything wrong with that (everyone should take someone's opinion with a grain of salt, it isn't factual). But as I mentioned earlier, you don't have to instigate a gong-show of a thread on the grounds that you disagree with them. By all means, if you really want to get an argument going, do everyone a favour and just take it to a private chat (this applies to everyone in general) but please don't muck up the forums. For the record, as always, I'm neutral party in all of this and I am not taking sides here, but merely stating my understanding of the situation as well as my own opinion. Take it with a grain of salt :coffee:

Pretty much they took that a bit seriously as a defense for voicing their opinions rather harshly and everybody is trying to say "I never said/meant shit, it's YOU who did" when both sides are pretty much equally bad in my opinion.
However, this has gone on too far to the point where I don't think mentioning that will change anything anymore. But I did.

raffle or do something rl and post pics of it, sort of like a scavenger hunt such as take pictures doing all of the following:
 
purchased a meal
cooked a meal
at a public place (amusement park, library, landmark etc.)
inside a trash can
etc

Ahh, gotcha. The thing is that we can only base our judgement off of how they are on the forums, which is all fine and dandy if you're asking for opinions on them on forums. Though the way someone is on Forums doesn't reflect their know-how while on the field, so to speak; so I can't really give any input on whether they should be a Moderator ingame.
 
If that's the case (that is, they're to be forum moderators) I'll take a look and provide my own personal opinion some time this week :coffee:

This is a different game I play and I want a third party view to see if they would qualify as moderators in honestly any game.

There is always complaints on the "lack of decision making" when the Developers choose moderators.
I am just curious how you guys would see them if you were a new player etc

Er, could you elaborate on what you mean? Are you asking if any of them are "moderator worthy" here at XenoGamers? Or are you asking if they are worthy on that particular Forum. I'm ássuming it is the latter due to the title of this thread, but I'd like to know for the sake of clarity.

I have done this in the past where entries required donations, but there aren't enough people willing to donate 5$ for a prize. If I recall correctly, the most successful one I did only had around 10+ people in it, if even that.
 
I don't mind contributing for community-based events at all, which is what I'm going for with these. Once this has gathered a large bulk of people willing to participate, then I'll start letting people know of any upcoming challenges/competitions/raffles in the Steam Group.

Hai, I'm Potatoes or people know me as Chance! I usually play on xG JailBreak on TF2 or xG Zombie Fort...I haven't really made myself known on xG or on the forums, so why not now! And I don't really know what to say. Also I have a question...is xG Minecraft usually populated with people or just a empty walrus? I think that's all...or I could talk about meself :3 . I'm goofy and weird and flirts(I guess I flirt?) and that I love to hang out with friends and make new ones.. I hate to lose them because it reminds me of the time on my formerly favorite server how I lost one good friend...then he turned the rest of our tight little circle for friends against me and made me unwelcomed and hated... But anyways, I'm here now and I hope to meet your acquaintance.

Now, before I go on I'd like to mention that most (if not all) riddles should not be taken literally, as is the case with the riddle I mentioned in the original post. So, without further ado ...

To be perfectly clear, I will now state why Goblins was the winner by dissecting the riddle, sentence by sentence. The answer was the Air Conditioner.

"I am Green and Sometimes I'm not." This part of the riddle was taken far too literally, and to ease the minds of many, that image was not photoshopped or tampered with in any way. The figure that you saw in the reflection was in fact a Yoshi plushie, however it was positioned behind the TV in a way that it could not be seen with the sole intention to trick those who thought it was "hidden in plain sight" which it was not. Anywho, this was hint #1. The Air Conditioner (which in this case is also a fan, I apologize that it was unfair as that isn't something that would have been known) is green in that using the fan option not only saves power, but also does not produce Greenhouse Gases. Therefore, it is Green (environmentally) and sometimes it is not.
"I Consume many Things, and you Know me Well." Not only does this hefty object consume a lot of power, but it also results in a lot of money spent through hydro as well as taking up a lot of space since it is not a wall-mounted A/C, thereby consuming many things. These things are pretty well known, I'm not sure if anyone hasn't heard of one.
This one is self explanatory. Literally right there in the picture. The last portion of this part was accurate as no one seemed to pick up on any of the hints.
Again, self explanatory. Not to be taken literally, but to be taken in that it is incredibly easy to spot.

Anyways, congratulations to Goblins on winning this particular competition. I may end up doing another competition like this in the future, so stay posted! @ASock ;)
