I know this is going to sound like I'm just beating the same drum as pretty much everyone who's posted before me, but I think the smarter option would be to shut down the CS:S division. While I do think that option #2 may hold some prospects for the CS:S division, I do not believe that they would be enough to justify the continuation of the division in the long run. The time and effort that would be put into essentially creating a new jailbreak server would be quite large, and this would be one of the largest projects that I've seen go down at xG. Would the ends justify the means however? In my opinion, they wouldn't. While we may see a temporary boost in the amount of players, eventually we'll be put in the same situation that we are in right now. This probably isn't even due to the quality of our servers or the dedication of our members, it's simply that CS:S as a whole is slowly sinking, and the only groups that are keeping their heads afloat are the largest communities in CS:S as a whole. On the other hand, I think that CS:GO has a lot of potential, certainly a lot more than CS:S has right now. I think shutting down CS:S, and transferring over to CS:GO would be the smartest decision to go with right now. I can partially understand the argument that "CS:GO isn't populated/we should focus on current divs rather than switch over to new ones" however in this situation I don't really see those arguments as valid. CS:S has only three servers that could be considered "populated", and the other three which are essentially dead. However, jailbreak is really the only server that consistently has players on it. Most importantly, we now have to address another glaring problem: School. Right now, it's the summer (dur), meaning that most of xG has much more free time on their hands, mostly due to the fact that most of us are out of school. Once the summer ends, it means that the servers are going to most likely become even less populated than they currently are. If we can barely justify keeping the division up during the time when the servers are traditionally the most populated, how can we possibly justify keeping the division up when school starts, and server activity goes down the drain?

I know the timing for this really does suck, however for about the next week I'm going to be on vacation. I'll have internet access, however I'm not going to be able to get on TS/forums as frequently as I was previously. ffs, we have a section of the forums called "ban request" for a reason. If someone disrespects you on one occasion, it is absolutely nowhere near an offense significant enough to warrant a removal of their membership. On the other hand, it may be enough to warrant a ban. However, if you can provide proof that a member of xG is repeatedly disrespecting/trolling on a regular basis and it gets to the point of which they are poorly representing xG, then there may be a reason to remove someone's membership. Disrespect towards one person would only be cause to remove one's membership in the most extreme of situations, (ex: calling SWAT team on the person or threatening someone's family irl) and last time I checked calling someone a fag a couple of times isn't exactly on the same tier as those situations. Giving a link to his chat logs and essentially saying "hey there should be more bad stuff in here but you'll have to find it yourself" does not count as proper proof. Unless you can provide proof that Forge's disrespect is on a much wider scale than you're making it out to be (based on your evidence), I'm going to move this "member protest" into ban request, since it does not belong in this section of the forums. ~moved.

This. The thread has been up for a while, and as Lee said he's had more than enough time to come onto the forums and attempt to defend himself. Considering he is someone who is very clearly a troll, he is most likely intentionally avoiding coming onto this thread and defending himself simply because he doesn't care about the outcome of the situation.

Pretty much my feelings exactly. @Muzzle just because he's not a member of our clan doesn't mean he is immune to clan-related punishments. We still ban freekillers and trolls on jailbreak regardless of whether or not they are members of our clan, why should this be any different? Unless I see evidence of definitive change and determination towards earning back our respect, I really see no reason at this point that sven should be allowed to apply for membership. Staff members are supposed to be mature and (relatively) indifferent in pretty much every situation. Vector's behavior as of recently does not reflect the behavior that should be practiced at all times by all of our staff members. There is no situation in which it is justified for a staff member to use their powers to disrespect any player, or really to disrespect in general. That being said, this is not an abuse report. While I think that Vector should face a warning and/or another form of repercussion for his actions, I do not see any reason to remove his membership. @Gawd @Hidingmaster @ThePenguin @Nomulous please leave your thoughts below. ~still closed
