I need fucking chemotherapy now because of this thread.

Effective immediately, all potential members must be at least 16 years old in order to apply for membership/staff.


 

What this means



All current members/staff who are under 16 years old, will still be members/staff.
 
All pending member/staff applications that do not meet the age requirement will not be invalidated.
All future member/staff applications must meet this requirement no matter what, unless the age requirement is edited in the future.
Previous applicants of xG who are under 16 are still able to apply at any time!


For the entire month of April 2015, anyone not meeting these criteria may apply. Starting May 2015, the age requirement will go into effect.
If any higher-ups wish to discuss this change, feel free to reply to the essentially identical thread in admin discussion.

Well first of all, you can only use !days every three rounds, so I think its more 2-3 rounds out of 10 instead of 5, the name of the mod that you claim doesn't know the rules would help, and first reaction last reaction isn't tarping, so it can be done before 7, ur thinking of simon says

We've had similar reports in the past and have issues permanent bans, so I want to be consistent about the ruling.

Bruh calling Kypari a crybaby is literally the definition of a petty reason. I just don't see why you guys are so against him getting a second chance. He's an adult, I've seen him act like one. He got banned for half a year, he's serving the time. Why is him getting another chance to be mature on the servers after six months thinking about it so damn scary of an idea for everyone. Anyone else would get away with calling kypari, or any other member a crybaby, without even a warning. And I'm ready to prove it.

Don't just be harder on vector because you don't like him, let him wait out the ban. It was agreed he'd be monitored after the ban anyway, why is that such an issue? Just be impartial.

I've largely lost the drive I once had for being involved in the leadership of this clan, so I'm resigning from my position of Community Leader. I don't want to post some massive wall of text here, so if you'd like to read my full reasons for resigning you can read it here.
 
My initial plan was to leave right away, but since CS:GO was rebooted I've decided to do something else. Until the end of summer I've decided to keep my temp mod status and membership, mainly playing League and CS:GO. Once school starts my activity will almost certainly take a pretty catastrophic hit, and at that point I'll resign my temp mod powers on CS:GO and officially leave the clan.

To be honest, I think we should just do a hard reset on ranks and go back to how it was before the Community Leader rank was introduced. If I could choose anyone to take up the post, it would either be Chrono, Forest or Aegean. Unfortunately that probably won't happen as Chrono has been too inactive recently, Forest probably wouldn't accept the offer (polite canadian bastard), and Aegean isn't even in the clan and I doubt whether or not Silence would even let him anywhere near the position. Personally, I would say just stick to the old system and have one Co-Leader. Having multiple Co-Leaders (especially if you're going to prop them up as "representatives" from a specific division) will only serve to divide the clan even further across divisional lines. Whoever takes up the position has to abandon their former division (if we're going with the original level of powers that the Co-Leader had, this person still would have powers) and realize that they're serving a broader purpose. If you want someone with a high level of forum and server powers but also serves the interests of a specific division, you've essentially just described the rank of Division Leader. If the clan decides to have what essentially boils down to a Division Leader with slightly more powers and several added responsibilities, then so be it. Keep in mind that doing so will cause rifts in the future as divisions change in size.
 
At the bare minimum, the change eliminating the leader rank should be reverted. Since that change was made there have been serious issues with chain of command and has resulted in a fair amount of confusion on the responsibilities of the Community Leader.

My concern is that you essentially are making community leaders just the leaders of the DLs. People need to put trust in DLs to make decisions that are relevant to their division with nobody else stepping over them. 2 Co leaders would have no problem doing promo demo + taking care of clan concerns. If DLs are allowed to... lead their division... there really isn't much more to do other than have someone to help make decisions regarding tough situations and promo demo.

Are you just asking for another ban? You know what you were doing inciting a ruckus in the other thread. This shouldnt have to be explained to you, and this thread is just an attempt to start another one.

If it's going to be kept, it has to be pretty strictly regulated, especially if there's a problem with staff going too far. We did something similar on CS:S called Late Nite Jailbreak, and in my opinion it was pretty successful. It was fun for pretty much everyone, CT's and T's broke tons of rules, admins abused a lot (not too overboard, no one was slaying @all every single day, it was mostly somewhat innocent) and it allowed for staff to let off some much-needed steam. I would suggest emulating this as megarobin suggested. Schedule a specific day and time for it to happen (I would suggest a Friday or Saturday night), let everyone know that it's happening and see what people's opinions are, and for a couple of hours just let loose. If people don't like it, then it should probably be scrapped. If everyone is having a fun time and people seem to be enjoying it, keep it around and we can have them as a regularly scheduled event. However, I don't think that it should remain as a choice for last request. Occasional abuse can be fun, but having it too frequently can turn people off to the server. This isn't something that should be happening every day.

Then i go back to changing it to a (edit: VERY STRICT) vote or a specified time. You can test the restraint idea to see if players have a better time without all the... "lag-abuse"

First off, nobody hid anything that was done. It was pretty clear that your posts were deleted and bans were issued for those that were trolling/harassing. Do staff abuse their power on the forum? Eh, thats debateable. I've actually yet to see true proof of anyone abusing their power, maybe using it a little more effectively than others, yes, but not abusing. Also, as diabeetus said, he was the one issuing the bans although I would have done the same thing, but he beat me to it.
 
Like I said in the forum in question, people are allowed to have their opinions; but there is a time and place. I would be pretty ashamed of myself if I went onto a thread like that and starting bashing a life choice. It wasn't the time nor place for it. The fact that you, and others, personally attacked someone based on their life is beyond inappropriate, especially to the point that they were negatively effected emotionally. If you can't see how your actions led to negative results, then please don't hang around here.
 
We also don't have to follow the rules that you believe should be set upon yourself. Obviously your content in no way was conducive to a respectful environment, nor were banned persons, and thus they were removed. We used our discretion, appropriately in my opinion, to keep these forums as neutral as possible. Just because you believe your opinions were so important doesn't mean we really give a shit. You respect our members and we respect you, its as simple as that.
 
Now I do have a deal for you. Show us, with clear and undeniable evidence, where the abuse occurred, why exactly this was abuse according to the rules set forth on this page, and why the comments were appropriate and I will take a second look at it. Until then, nothing is changing (bans and removal of posts will remain).
 
Also, in case you are curious the basic human rights are necessarily outlined word for word, rather there is a level of interpretation and common sense that must be used. Like I said, ain't nobody here shall ever be harassed or made fun of for their own personal lifestyle.
