He was kicked yesterday and has a major history of toxicity according to most TGH specific staff. Clearly shows no improvement so why should he be kicked so he can come back and do it again tomorrow?

He should have at least been kicked first.
If I recall correctly, his last ban was for abusing calladmin - the argument that he "hasn't changed after two years" doesn't make any sense since an "instigating" name and calladmin abuse isn't the same. I feel like a month is way too much, lol.

When you take into consideration we keep certain people permed for things that happened years ago here or there depending (and I'm not talking about people who did really heinous things) then having someone's ban history carry over from years ago isn't exactly much further off, especially if they haven't changed much and the most you hear about them is that they're frequently a troublemaker for the hell of it from older players- also could see this myself during some of the times I was on while Brian was on.
 

 
I'd honestly say yes probably if it was intentional- if you really didn't learn your lesson or change within two years then why would you receive a more lax punishment?

I don't know much about the month ban but you have definitely been toxic lately, just yesterday you had came on tgh and a kid was just talking on the mic doing nothing wrong, his mic was of decent quality and he was just talking casually, yet you instantly started yelling at us in admin chat to mute him for being "immature" which was not true in anyway. The thing about tf2 is that a majority of players here are kids so you can't just start bullying them for talking on the mic and wanting an immediate mute for sounding younger than you would like, when you could have just client side muted him like I said. Also right after we said no, you went on with calling us awful mods for not muting a kid just for talking on the mic which makes no sense, not to mention that at the end of your rant you threatened that you were going to make an admin abuse thread on us even though we were just doing our job and then disconnected from the server before any of us could even respond. So just seeing how you were acting the day before and now with this I'm just going to -1 the thread.

Sourcebans being a bit messed up does nothing with kicks. Sourcebans only records mutes and bans, which will keep a player banned from all servers. With Sourcebans not working correctly on TGH, it only keeps bans and mutes for a client session or until a map change. As for the month ban, it is following standard procedure. There really is no falloff to punishments, and if there needs to be one we could talk about getting one. Though, in the event there is a falloff for bans, we would most likely have to start unbanning permanently banned players after said falloff date, which would make a permanent ban useless.
 
Edit: Kypari also stated that the user was kicked and warned the night before by another staff member, so the user was warned for his rule-breaking activity, albeit a day before this incident.

Isn't that when you should've kicked instead of banning..? Not everyone in the game reads chat, I do agree a month ban was excessive, I think you jumped the gun here when you saw what happened years ago.

I warned him twice just to check if he was paying attention. He clearly wasn't so I just banned him.

 
If someone hasn't changed in the last few years then the punishment system clearly needs to continue. They haven't reformed as a person so myself and the TF2 higheurps believe that the system should continue, regardless of how long ago the bans were.

Your previously block was from the night before and was due to your incredibly rude and disrespectful behavior both to a player and staff. Your outright demand that this player be muted was due solely to their voice being immature, while their behavior was perfectly in check, and based of an outdated and heavily changed rule.
 
You did not leave immediately after this, and choose to instead argue with staff further using admin chat, and it was some time after being addressed and explained to that you choose to even further antagonize staff and then leave immediately after. Your continued attempt to get around the gag for the purpose of attacking others would have landed you a kick had you not left, and quite frankly you should have been banned at that point.
The name you choose to use today was very clearly aimed at your frustration over what had occurred and showed an absolute lack of improvement to your behavior on your part.
 
I've heard of you having behavioral problems recently, though others would be more enlightened to any such occurrences than me as I only have experience as to these specific two situations. Overall though, I feel the ban, as well as the time of it due to previous offenses, is very much justified at this point.

I mean I'm surprised you didn't see this coming. You've been in a lot of trouble pretty recently with multiple staff members with toxicity.

Each staff is different in how they manage things. Some staff members are more lenient and some are far stricter. There's not much you can do about it really since it mainly comes down to upbringing and personality.

Unfortunately there's not many ways that staff members can warn you outside of chat so that you can see it easier. It was around 1am BST when I warned you so I can't tell you on mic, though chat is deemed enough by the higherups.

 


The length of the ban is as long as it is because of your ban history and your history of toxicity.

Usually the procedure goes warn ->kick -> day ban -> week ban -> month ban -> perm. As you had already gone past the week ban stage, it's a month.
I promise I try to be as unbiased as possible. Obviously I'm not perfect and no-one is, but in this situation I tried to be as unbiased as possible including asking other staff in a private discord if it was OK to ban you just in case.

As stated previously, word is that you've been in a lot of trouble with passive aggressive comments, warnings and kicks with multiple staff members. That's why I requested that to be the reason as well as the name.

Initial Thoughts:
I played this as a child and watched my brother play it when it first came out, and I was blown away by how different the game was compared to things I was used to at that time. (i.e. super mario brothers)
 
The game is about a kid named Link (hidden in the Kokiri Forest and taken care of from the great Deku Tree) who has to save Hyrule from the antagonist Ganondorf; The king of the Gerudo Thieves.
 
Pros:

Music - an incredible soundtrack surrounds this game that really complements the unique locations throughout the world. Unique music for boss fights, dungeons, mobs, shops, and side characters. The music is iconic now and given respect throughout the Zelda series time to time with small iterations to make them stand out. Shout out to Gerudo Valley!
Open World - For the most part, you can travel to everywhere you see as long as you have the necessary items. There is a ton of secrets and side missions you can do that is not forced upon you, and these places are not always near your main destinations so it really encourages you to explore and try to figure out the puzzles.
Difficulty (Medium) - It's not a very hard game, but it's not something that is super linear that babysits you to progress forward like games nowadays. You will get stuck time to time, and you really need to listen to the clues throughout the world if you play through it the first time. The clues throughout the game are given very creatively and subtlety through the use of Navi (your fairy), unique objects, and important NPC's.

 
Cons:

Glitches - This is a double edged sword as this game is super bugged in terms of how much you can glitch this game but it also makes it one of the most watched games that get speedrun on Twitch. Ocarina of Time generally (a full run through, not 100%) would take you about 10ish hours normally to finish, but with the help of glitches (nothing third party) you can finish the game in under 20 minutes. Some glitches do potentially crash the game as well, but as long as you aren't aiming to do glitches the game runs fine.
Combat (Easy) - Once you understand the mechanics of defending and how to deal the most damage via jump slashing, you can usually 1-2 cycle boss fights and dying pretty much becomes impossible.

 
Final Thoughts:
 
One of the childhood classics, a game most deemed as the greatest of all time.
 
Definitely revolutionary for its era, and easily in my top 5 favorite games. It's single player, but the Zelda Titles (aside from the Four Swords) are meant to be single player games and they do it really well. This game lasts a good long time, minimum 10 hours game time before you finish a play through for the first time if you aren't familiar with the puzzles, but there is a ton of secrets and puzzles that easily add 5+ hours if you want to potentially 100% the game or get close to it.
 
With Breath of the Wild coming out soon for the Nintendo Switch as the launch title, there is a lot of hope that this is the Zelda game that is worth the hype as the previous wii titles were not as well made as the previous titles (Majora's Mask + The Windwaker). Until the game comes out, we can only hold our breath and hope for the best.

A problem we are facing at the moment is that people call days without the !days menu, which honestly is just a mess for everyone involved. My suggestion would be to make a free day be available every 3/5 rounds, and then add the option to do additional days by paying x amount of credits(150 would be fine imo).

Well first of all, you can only use !days every three rounds, so I think its more 2-3 rounds out of 10 instead of 5, the name of the mod that you claim doesn't know the rules would help, and first reaction last reaction isn't tarping, so it can be done before 7, ur thinking of simon says
