You made an application recently. Please wait a full month before reapplying.

It's always nice to see things clarified so finely. At the very least, thankfully this has at least seemed like only a rare problem in the past.Even though rare, it has become a recent problem with inside incidents and whatnot, best to clarify it instead of leaving it up to speculation.

doesn't "know" howPlz fix
It has been fixed, sorry been a long day.

So apparently staff doesn't know how warnings work on the servers based on recent incidents, so I'm going to go over how warnings should be issued.
A normal warning: You tell the player through All Chat (which is just a single @ before your sentence in public chat) OR Voice what they are doing wrong. If the player does not acknowledge when using voice, give them another warning through All Chat, before punish them for their first punishment.
Quoted from the staff manual: Warn, then slay/mute (sometimes optional), then kick, then ban [WSKB]
Players should know why they were punished
When you punish a player, make sure to let them know why they were punished so they can improve.
Example: Person Y freekilled person X, you slay person Y and respawn person X. You need to tell person Y why they were slain. Something like "You were slain because you freekilled person X." works.
How past warnings work: If you warn a player for something in the past and they do it, don't immediately jump to banning them. Depending on the amount of time it has been since their last warning for the incident, you may need to warn them again to remind them not to do it. 1 warning per week is good enough for someone who is repeating the same offense. If you feel the person has committed an offense too many times you can jump to a kick.
Now keep in mind, you can skip warnings for certain things. An example of this would be: Hacking, micspamming music, exploiting, etc. Generally if you are unsure what to do about a situation, feel free to ask a fellow staff member. If you're still unsure, please look at the staff manual here: TF2 Staff Manual (Everything you need to know!)
@Bello @Sesh @mrnutty12 @Rejects Feel free to add on to my post if you feel I left something out.

Also @Aegean and @virr, can we get your opinions?

Well, with past problems in mind such as: Editing your own weapon attributes, the bach situation, your attitude constantly getting worse with players, using /rof and killing random players, and once again deciding to change your own weapon attributes, I think a demotion may have to happen. There have been way too many incidents to look over this time, sorry rejects but it's really the only thing I can think to do.

Apparently staff are confused as to whether this is abuse or not as made clear in this protest thread: Qualityarsenic - Team Fortress 2. We should go over whether or not is is allowed or if it is donator abuse, personally I think it should be allowed, as the /colorme command is otherwise pretty useless. I was thinking that players could color themselves other than "normal" for friendly so that players will know that they are friendly. @Sesh @Bello @Rejects @mrnutty12 @Aegean @virr

I think he knew exactly why I had kicked him the second time lolWell he did say that's what he had assumed you kicked him for, but in his mind that is not wrong as most of the staff usually ignores the /colorme while in friendly. With that being said, we really should go over whether or not we should allow that, as it seems it's under confusion.

To be fair, it's at that point you should've given a clear text explanation to your actions, the user was confused and in turned called for an admin, even though you were on. Once again, still going to +1 for unban.
-
Due to the fact that no warning was issued in chat, I am going to +1 for unban. As for the calladmin thing, can we get a screenshot of that tatost? @Sesh @mrnutty12

And? They were technically correct but that doesn't mean i change my stance on why i didn't want it on the server because as you quoted i don't think it's quite gaming but others view it differently which is why it's still argued. But there is also a problem of having too many maps, again some not ever played and some that are partially broken.
How can you call it variety when more than half of them are never played or touched. I'm not saying remove half the list i'm saying that if there are complaints enough some should be removed that's why there are votes.
Looks like i won't change your mine. go ahead and close the thread if you want.
Thread is going to stay open, It is a community vote.

I've usually ignored people recoloring themselves in friendly, as after one shot it's easy to tell that they're in friendly mode. I usually only punish people for friendly abuse, not recoloring themselves. Though, you really should keep your voice on to listen to staff, if you don't want to hear people just mute everyone but the staff members through your in-game menu. Though I'll admit, staff should give a clear warning in text chat through all chat if in the event the player is not listening, not doing so makes you look pretty incompetent.

+1. It's not gaming, using the excuse that "ED EDD AND EDDY HAD A VIDEO GAMES MEANS WE CAN HAVE IT AS A MAP" is retarded. As for the map list being over populated, people used to complain all the time that we didn't have enough maps. I personally think it's better to have more maps and not less, variety keeps things interesting. Anyone can nominate a map at any time, use nomination to your advantage if you want to play a certain map. As for broken maps, if you get me a list of maps that are legitimately broken to the point of it causing bad problems on the server, I will have those maps removed.
-
I honestly have no idea what to say about this. Even though adding that attribute really gave you no advantage, you did do this in the past, and were talked to about it. As for the /rof thing, I could understand it being mistake as I have made the same mistake before, but you act as if you did that on purpose. I'm not sure as to what to do about this, @Bello @mrnutty12 @Sesh, what do you guys think?

To clear up complaints, if we wanted to get rid of every "bad map" we had, we'd get rid of maps like Delphino airstrip, cyberpunk and Hotel Hell. Just because a map is bad in your eyes, does not mean others find it bad. As for Apadiel, I quite enjoyed the map which is why I had it added in the first place, one of the few maps that gives you something to do other than killing each other. If you don't like the platforming on it, I could make it easier by having @Bello or @Rejects have the map auto-set low gravity when the map starts up. Other than that, I do not want to remove the map because it's "bad" because honestly, there are worse maps on the rotation. -1
ThunderLimes and Kypari reacted to this -
I've tried to talk to Kypari about his ego, he refuses to listen. I could talk to him again, or someone else could try talking to him, but I don't think he's going to understand. As for Ill/sick, I am neutral about them. Elcark would be good as a mod. Vacindak would be good as admin.

Out of curiosity, is there any reason why sv_pure is not on the servers? or at least some servers where skins that would be deemed an unfair advantage are, such as freak fortress? for example, a custom skin for sniper that puts a big laser on the 100% accuracy no scope meme squad riflesSv_pure is left off I would guess to give people a more customized experience. Could you give an example of any mods/skins that give an unfair advantage? I wasn't sure if there were any.

Going to stay neutral, I would've liked if you had actually spent the original 50 post count you were supposed to get on actually participating in the community. Instead you just spam bumped old membership applications when you could've just reported them or let a DM+ know in a private message. The way you went about getting your post count has left a not so good impression on me personally, so I will stay neutral to this application.

@mrnutty12 @Rejects @Sesh @Vexx
Yesterday YeEternalTuna and Kypari had an altercation about CPSaving and spawnkilling on surf. Rejects stepped in. I'd like to give my input on this.
On the graphic that I have attached, which is very bad I know, I marked the spots that Tuna does not consider spawn (i.e basically everything above the essential spawn area).
And I do think he is right, which may seem a bit abstract at first, but hear me out. Unless you are a scout or a soldier, you cannot get up there through spawn, you will have to use the teleporter which is on a completely different point on the map. But most importantly, we have never ever once treated these areas (i.e areas that are like right above the spawn) as spawns. Never. On no other maps, whenever I have played. We should at least discuss it.
Not only that, but Tuna and some other surf people are claiming the same, and I think it's really unfair of Kypari to just make that up, speak to Tuna in a very condescending way, mock him and compare him to Floppy.
I had multiple complaints about Kypari being condescending, but I think I never took them seriously enough.
On a side note, I think we should allow people to cptele anywhere, simply because the rule about that we have is almost impossible to enforce, so that could be discussed as well.
I kinda figured that everyone used CPtele for whatever they wanted anyway, I personally never visit surf much. I do think the top of that spawn should not be considered the spawn, as standing up there in the open is only baiting people to kill you. As for Kypari's attitude, it has been really bad lately. A couple nights ago I argued with him for 1-2 hours over a gag he gave @Decidueye_Deci for seemingly no reason.
This is the chat history that he had gagged the user for, and I personally still see nothing wrong with it. He had started yelling at Decidueye telling him to "stop the fetish talk" which is something that happens in TGH all the time that I know even kypari himself indulges on talking about. The point at which he decided to yell at him again was when he talked about a guy with "his fetish sprays", only mentioning a guy and not fetishes themselves. This of course got decidueye angry because he did absolutely nothing wrong, but to kypari he was talking about it again. Then he used the fact that he called him a "blind dolt" to actually gag him, which I think is the most childish thing that Kypari could've possibly done for that situation.
Here's a link to the gag: Xeno Gamers

It's definitely something I'd have to see for myself, I'll look into it.
-
If you do decide to go with the chat tag option, how are you going to deal with staff who mainly uses voice? That's probably the biggest hurdle i can think of right now.Well I was thinking maybe we could have both, so that staff who mostly use voice can still keep using the tags and ones who use chat more can just use the titles.
-
You mean admin, and as for the two of them, Vacindak still has a problem with allowing people to speak Spanish. I remember someone mentioning to me that vacindak had said something along the lines of "Oh another staff member is on, don't speak spanish anymore guys" when they joined surf. I'd watch him a bit before any promotions. As for Tatost, I am neutral, how he has acted on previous promo/demos has made him look incredibly immature in my eyes.

@Rhododendron, I'd like to see what you think about this before we announce it.
Staff Psa: Issuing Warnings

Sesh's post explained it quite well:
You can not blame a user for everything, staff incompetence and unwillingness to take a few seconds to type is sometimes the problem.
