    Ok i'm going to make a question for everyone who knows about the surf server.

    what would you do if you saw a spawnkiller? .......

    the correct answer if you are not part of the staff crew is..!CALLADMIN.

     

    I was in other XG servers before THG , Deathrun , jailbreak( now death), VHS , etc.

    In my point of view ,the surf server is the most dificult to handle.

    Probably you are saying why? well, at the surf server you can not spawnkilling , you can not put any building at spawn

    you can not sniping or shotting from spawn and you can not cptele away from the fight.

    we normaly have 2 or 3 spawnkillers per 10 minutes. and 3 or 5 bans per day.

    apart from that we have always a mic spamer or a tipical toxic guy. so

    for me as an admin. is not only enforce the rules at the server is also keep that environment good and enjoyable to get fun in a healthy way

     

    We need more Hands to handle it. we need a staff with experience. we need a staff who knows perfectly well the rules.

    and knows to make a good and enjoyable environment.

     

    skelly was an admin and that's mean he was a trusted staff member before.

    you need to be good staff to get that position. not everyone can get admin just easy.

    i know he stepped down and to be honest for me it feel soon but i'm not going to lie. actually i was afraid he is going to step down once again.

    but in this two weeks he showed me he is going serious.

    It was 5:43 Am, I was sleeping so well until something started moving above my head, Sadly for me I have a really fragile dream So I woke up instantly and then I basically Jumped out from my bed O_o ... Scared and confused I turn on the lights,after that I saw it!! A baby crazy lizard in my bed :/ fortunately I didn't Smash him. Them I wanted to grab him but that tiny lizard was so fast after that the crazy lizard went under my bed! and making screeching noises like snake :/ and moving his head up and Down like saying (get retk human) So A bit frustrated for that lizard,I went under my bed and then I finally grab him Plop!

     

    Silly lizard... Thanks for ruin my bed time : ( I don't like to wake up Early

     

    Them I went out and I put the lizard in a safe place.

    People would only know I'm friendly if they shot me and realized I didn't take any damage, or I shot them and they noticed they didn't take any damage. I usually takes them like 5 seconds for them to realize the trick.

    Yes it's OK... I'm completely sure they shooted you before And they noticed you are in friendly. Most of the players are using hit sounds so

    That's why I'm saying it's extremly easy to know it, however. Do not use god mode because the sentryes are going to shoot at you and make an unfair chance for the opposite team.

     

    Well, I going to say it again,For me it's OK but do not generalize. That's only my opinion.obviously you can Confirm this,reading the donator rules.

     

    Most for the donators rules said. Do not use your donator powers to give you or someone else an unfair advantage Or do not use your powers to affect the Gameplay in the server for example: spawning bosses, changing the gravity, giving everyone noclip, etc etc etc.

     

    In your case,personally. I think You are not abusing your donator powers since you are not killing anyone or affecting the gameplay in the server. Resizing you, putting yourself on friendly and putting color is not an abuse.probably it's an huge distraction but ehhhhh! Guest what!? Tf2 it's a distraction too ;).

     

    So don't worry most donators do that PLOP

    Well for me... Is not

    Something I like to do is use the following commands:

    >(Change class heavy, no items or cosmetics (except fists of steel)
!friendly
!colorme normal
!resizeme (200%)
!robot

    Essentially I look like a giant robot who's attacking people, but I'm actually in friendly mode. Now, because of how big I am, and keep in mind I'm not translucent like I would be normally (colorme normal). It's loads of fun to make people thing a giant robot is shooting at them when I'm really not.

    Technially, I'm not breaking any rules and I've done this with staff literally right in front of me (and even fooled @sick41057 :p).

     

    Now, I just want to open this up for debate, because as much as I like doing it, it does have some questionable parts to it.

    1) I'm a giant, I kinda block people's sight lines, especially on smaller maps.

    2) People actually think I'm attacking them (until they realize they're taking no damage)

    3) Basically, I'm a distraction. Now, while many donator commands are meant to be distracting and cosmetic, I'm a giant!!

     

    What do you guys think? Is this still OK or in a gray area or should we disallow it from now on?

     

    For me it's not a problem, because you are in friendly... Donators rules said do not use those powers to give you an unfair advantage or do something to change the Gameplay. To be honest you are not changing anything, apart from that. Is extremly easy to know,if you are in friendly or not. The real problem is...the snipers can not snipe well but in my point of view 2.5 or 2.0 is not really huge. SoOoOoOo... It's OK for me.

    Donators can resize 200? I tought The límit is 2.5 .... :/

    Actually I've never had problems with any donator before. The real problem I've seen very common is They didn't read the donators rules first.

     

    Most of our donators are valued

    members and they know the rules perfectly Well and they don't want to lose their powers so I think they are going to follow our rules however nothing is perfect, probably someone is going use those powers to break our rules so to avoid confusion we need to record and Give then the last warning in chat and voice chat after the week ban +Removal of powers because they are going to use the excuse of admin abuse and we need proves.

     

    Put yourself into the donator's shoes they are going to fight for their powers so most of them are going to use the ban protest or in the worst case admin abuse report to give their power back.

     

    I agree with Bello's protocol we need to think in the future and how they are going to act after losing their powers.
