My opinion doesn't technically matter, since I'm not member, but I am extremely against Oscar getting unbanned for several reasons. First of all, Oscar not only got permed from CSS for wallhacks, he also got banned on Minecraft for using an xray hack. He even admitted in his post that he cheated and got vacced last year on 2 steam accounts. As Jake said back a few years ago,

Additionally, he's been extremely irritating on TS, and he clearly can't take the fucking hint about it. I don't know if he is a troll or if he funny, but he constantly says cringy or straight up annoying shit all the time.
 
Thirdly, seems to be trying to force himself into some position in the Minecraft division by constantly asking for the test server ip or by asking another Minecraft community to merge with xG without consulting any of the higher ups in xG about it first.
 
Honestly, I don't see how he has changed at all and I don't understand why he would be given another chance even if the ban was several years ago.

I'm really glad that our CL's are extremely mature!

Not posting this with the intention of muddying up this thread, more-so for the 10/10 replies and the fact that I found this sh*t hilarious as f*ck.
 
I personally don't have any sort of opinion regarding his behaviour and such since I never hung out with the surf crowd back in the day plus I was still a freshman (JB for lyfe baybee), though I digress since that isn't exactly relevant to the initial ban for hacking. That being said, if it's true that he has already been unbanned before (twice[?]) I'd be incredibly hesitant to unban again, even though there are a few solid points in that it's common knowledge that we did/do stupid sh*t at a young age. As common as that excuse is, there is a whole lot of validity with it; one of the few.. Excuses, for a lack of better words, that I would consider positively vouching for. Though he did mention that he was VAC'd on two accounts a year ago, which doesn't quite help his case (though I seriously commend him for enclosing that info in his Ban Protest).
 
My problem with unbanning in situations like this is that the ol' "we can just unban him, and if he messes up again, we'll reban him" excuse has already been previously used. It really doesn't give Xeno Gamers a strong stance in punishment when so many people are let off the hook with the exact same reasoning as they were given when they were unbanned prior; but that may just be me being a rule-nazi for a Gaming community.
 
Strong +/- 0 for this case for the reasons stated above. But if an unban is really being considered, I'd recommend that at the very least the player demonstrates activity on the forums (however irrelevant to the initial ban for hacking it is) to showcase this change-of-heart and supposed care for the community before being unbanned. At least then it'll seem more genuine (not implying that his initial post wasn't).

Originally gonna be a 0 here as well, but honestly I know how dumb I was at 14, and at the age of 19 it's hard to not have matured at that point. This is not to give him powers or rejoin the clan yet, but I think letting him back in the servers (he uses TS anyways) won't be an issue. Worst thing that happens is he gets rebanned and we never see him again.

Kk so mince will get developer as he didnt want dl anyways, and people will be more accepting that. He will need privileges in the minecraft section on forums which I will work out.
 
I was also against owl being div manager and leader of two divisions but he has put in a shit ton of time on csgo and wants to spend a lot of his own time on working on minecraft while still actively working on minigames which is why I didnt have an issue.
 
The timeline for me for you guys is once csgo is at a good place in the upcoming months is to promote bleed to coleader, lithium to community manager. Once we have our csgo very active and you guys find active replacements to fill the dl and dm positions is when we can consider promos. Regardless whatever @Lithium or @Bleed you guys need Ill do my best to get you guys the resources for the csgo div so it shouldnt be an issue. I trust you guys in how the division goes so if theres any issues please be vocal

This covers versions 1.0.0 - 1.0.6, skipping many back-end updates.

Removed hooking command "joingame", which would automatically move everyone to T when they first connected.
Version advertising is now printed once every 4 rounds
Add command sm_specplayer <player>. This forces you to spectate a person, workaround for when you can't spectate a specific person.
Fixed swapteam not showing activity.
LRs will no longer be aborted for team damage.
LRs that teleport the player will now teleport them 100 units ahead instead of 200.
Added command sm_leavequeue. Leaves the guard queue.
During LR, the player who was selected is now printed in chat.

The reasons are as follows:
He has been active on getting our minigames to be a top server alongside the CS:GO divs by constantly finding new minigame maps and testing them out on his own free time. This was all while he was non-member.
Now he wanted to take the responsibility of reviving the Minecraft division even though many members laughed about it or said "Not worth trying". He is comfortable with Java and wanted to take this opportunity to practice his skills on this project alongside Owl. If any negative issues happens then I can be held responsible and I'll be sure to fix any issue that may arise. He also will not get paid for this as this will be all volunteer work so I would say giving him a chance can't hurt.

It didnt help that none of you including supermaddud had 0 experience with running a minecraft server, and when a plugin failed to work with another plugin you guys got rid of that plugin cause you had no idea what you were doing. Not trying to be offensive here, but seriously, none of you had any motivation,strive, or knowledge of what you were doing :/

I'll just reply to you here since I don't wanna leave a bunch of comments.
 
Silence's budget covers the xG cost which is why he hasn't chased making it self-sufficient. Saying it hasn't been done so it isn't reasonable isn't valuable in a discussion and I have no idea your aim from those comments. The other one is staff not being active due to it being volunteer is something I completely understand as I have volunteered as staff from near the beginning of this clan and co-leaded for over a year for not even a penny. There are ways to increase staff activity without forcing them, and that is what I want to work on.
 
These ways include
-Populating the servers
-finding members that are willing to be staff who are active
-adding incentives to playing on servers
-adding new servers
etc
 
You can see from my post that I'm trying to help xG as a whole, don't bother commenting if you aren't going to give anything constructive. If your attitude was shared then nothing would improve in this community.

Second of all, I will most likely return (no troll) with conditions that I have talked with Silence/Rhodo about and I will explain some of the changes that are to be expected to be worked on when I fully rejoin.
 
1. Make xG completely self-sustainable. This means zero dollars coming from Silence's pocket monthly and all of it from Ads, Sponsors and Donations. This will also result in more servers, more server incentives, and circling back to advertising xG on other platforms.
More news on this soon.
 
2. Improve the staff activity on servers that need it. This includes TF2 as well as CSGO, I or another higherup will be in touch with the DL and DMs of the communities to think of solutions to addressing these problems.
 
3. Getting a permanent and dedicated server, staff and user base on Minecraft.
 
4. Cleaning up the MOTDS/Guides, and trying to promote more discussion and activity on the forums. Self-Explanatory
 
5. Listening and promoting more community feedback. The servers begin and end with the userbase, and I think more people need to be encouraged to speak about problems that they are having, or changes they would like to see.
 
6. More work on social media and youtube to advertise xG as a community.
