if anyone needs more context, someone was micspamming and someone of the staff told them to stop or they'd get muted/banned/kicked or something or other and goldfish says "so if I play music does that count as micspamming" and after I told him yes, as well as not to do it because he knows full well that it's micspamming, he does it anyways in the background. I asked him to stop (he didn't) so I muted him, told him directly to turn it off or stop using his mic. Unmuted him, it was still on, I kicked him with the message "turn the music off". He rejoined and the first words out of his mouth were "are you trolling me?" I told him no, I wasn't, and that the music in the background was an issue and from there he argued with me that it wasn't and continuously tried to loophole his way out of a punishment, and I banned him. (fyi I was only going to have the first ban as 10 minutes, but admin discretion comes before moderator and danny had said 24 hours so I went with that) sorry for double post, I couldn't edit in time

you weren't banned for the music in the background (although that is what I initially warned/muted/kicked you for), you were banned for arguing with not only me, but multiple other staff members as well. when they told you the same thing I did you told them the same thing - "you can't punish me for having music on in the background!" if you read the ban on SourceBans, it doesn't say "playing music in the background," it says "arguing, ignoring admins" which was why I banned you keep in mind this music wasn't 'quiet' or 'faint', it was loud enough to the point where a) I could tell it was Enter Sandman by Metallica and b) it was hard to understand you. that is why I asked you to turn it off; if someone has a bad microphone or something in the background that can make it difficult to understand them (read: music) then staff members are by all means allowed to ask them to either fix it or to stop using their mic (unless this has changed since I was an admin, but it hasn't to my knowledge) it's a 24 hour ban, wait it out. @Dannypicacho @Jaydow

10 mans are just 5v5 with 10 people from the cs division, most commonly 10 mans will be started when someone tags @10manner on discord or there are a lot of us on a server and someone has the idea to do a 10man. If you want the 10 manner tag to be notified when we start a game, the #roles channel has a bot that will give it to you! you're always welcome to join:)

howdy gamer, haven't actually seen you in person so I'm assuming you're coming from TF2, in which case you won't see much of the CS:GO staff much, but if you have CS:GO be sure to drop by the servers sometime!

It's also storming a bit around Houston, but it doesn't matter much because I unfortunately have to stay home and do a buncha cal and physics c homework, but to be fair I'd still be staying home even if I didn't have to bc I'm a loser

sad to see you go, but if you have problems with any staff (read: not just TF2) you should be either talking directly to a higher up, or, if you have proof, making an abuse thread under the Report Abuse section of the forums.

@Dannypicacho sorta brought it up when we had the 10 man composed solely of TF2 players, why not do the same sorta thing the other way around? a TF2 6v6 with only CS:GO players. to my knowledge this hasn't been done yet (unless I missed it in which case I'm gonna feel a bit foolish) and I feel like it would be as much of a success as the 10man, so lets try it out should this be in CS:GO discussion?

I feel like even if community +/-1s on staff applications were taken into account on whether or not someone were to be accepted as a staff member (read: someone that got all -1s on an app was rejected whether the higher-ups wanted it or not), I would still be trusting of them to promote staff without the community's input. I trust Lithium (and bleed?*) to accept staff that will do good for the server, even if there is someone that disapproves of them being promoted. He's been around long enough that he knows whether or not someone will be a good staff member and actively improve the servers, or vice versa. *idk if bleed is still sectioned off into strictly CS promotions or not

+1 for unban, I think a few months is long enough for another chance, but again like geno said if he goes back to his old, same ways the ban should stick permanently

if it were able to stay civil and actually a discussion/debate rather than hurling insults at each other I'd fully support it but as everyone else has said that's obviously not what would be happening

model member of xg (minus the furries/"degenerates" -danny), would make a very welcome addition to the staff team

clouds isn't really a bad map, people just get annoyed because they don't know how to get people through the portals without t's rebelling (although I will admit it is a bit tedious to do the whole run through the portal and freeze bit). merging cell block and the rest of the map would just be a QoL change rather than fixing a bad map

none of my irl friends are le epic gamers and these people sorta tolerate me and that's enough for me

maybe not - there's no reason to restrict it unless the T specifically wants it. a lot of people would end up getting slayed (next round, of course) because of a really obscure rule that probably shouldn't have been implemented in the first place, and then they leave the server bc "dum ruls."

I think you guys are misunderstanding or maybe I am he was talking about when t's make it a rule for their LR that CT's aren't allowed to slay, and discussing whether or not that should be allowed. I support it as a rule; if you're trying to do your LR and the ct's just slay that's pretty shitty imo so at least keep it as a way to repel a t's LR from being "denied", so to speak

As opposed to everyone here (except tope), I'm going to give legitimate reasons for dropping a -1 rather than just saying "hehe fuck goldfish -1." Even just from this application alone, it's clear that you can't take a staff position seriously. You're one of the least mature members I've ever encountered in all of my years active in this clan, which includes the likes of Snackbar and that one 14 year old tf2 girl that got permed (kittylicious I think?). You constantly harass people that you don't like (ScottNi, just for example), you tend to become very hostile and, while I hate using the word, toxic when you get upset. For fuck's sake, you still scream into your mic when something happens that you don't like. In addition, you like to pick arguments with not only other people, but other staff members, and you like to nit pick rules just to try to get other people in trouble. You have a tendency to hold grudges/not drop an argument that has already been resolved. Honestly, I'm still not convinced that you are knowledgeable on all the rules yet. You have a lot of things to work on. -1

if it's a rule and the ct slays during the lr they get slayed the next round

i don't actually know which rtd's mg has that jb doesn't but rolling low grav would probably not be added to jailbreak. there's a reason that it's a day - so that everyone has it at once instead of just one person floating around. tbh it's up to @Lithium
