This is my resignation from community leader and moderator of Counter strike. The past two or so years have been the greatest times I've ever had with counter strike or gaming in general. I believe myself as a community leader I've grown further and further from the clan as we have become more TF2 oriented (Not that it's a bad thing.) I've pushed certain ideas and I believe in the current state, we won't get much done. Or if we do, it won't be from my end. I hope higher up's like @kbraszzz can work out the TF2 division. I believe a majority of staff of xG and higher-up's are great people.
I'll be a member of this community, but I don't see myself as fit for this position any longer. It's been a fun run, so many people, and tons of laughs. I've been close friends with a decent amount of you TF2 members and I wish you the best. I'm not going down a giant list of people who have been great to me, but here's a short few...
@Nomulous - You've helped me get into leading this community as a CL, I believe I've changed this clan in little ways, I just wish I could have done more. @Bleed - You dealt with my incompetence as a DL, thanks bud. @ThePenguin @diabeetus - Good friends; not much to say about that other than I'll still be talking to you kids. @Chrono - Kept me from being a bad DM a ton of times back then. @Vector - Don't mess with the TF2 members too much to get permed. @Hexx @Haxx - lol. @Tsuchikure @Yu_Narukami weeb. @Rhododendron - Didn't know you well, (shockingly) but I believe you'll be able to make this clan run smoothly - in the long run- as always. @TF2People - :) .

Alright so this was something brought up a handful of times already, with not a lot being done about it.
 
Welcome to the wacky world of discussion of... Leadership. Follow me on a journey through time and space, where we will first stop off at the solution, and then follow it up with the reasons that I deem a change necessary.
 
Solution

The current setup of xG leadership is as follows:
 
Community Leaders: Silence, Nomulous, Hidingmaster (me), Dr. Lee, Diabeetus
Division Leaders: Tf2, CS:GO, Minecraft...
Division Managers: You know.
Administrators: You know.
Moderators: Yeah, you know.
Members: Love you plebs.
 
It works, for the most part, but there are some very easy changes that can really help make the community a lot more easier to.. lets say.. navigate. Essentially go back to what we had before:
 
Leader: Mr. Rhodosilencdendron
Co Leaders: 2 trusted members of xG
DL
DM
Administrator
Mods
Members
The nomulous, who is like a leader, but more for the technical side of things.
 
 
What does this accomplish/help improve on?
 
Well, I want you first to question (those who aren't CLs) who you would turn to when you had a question that required an authoritative figure to answer. Right now I bet a lot of you would turn to a variety of people, from DL's to a CL (but not all im sure), to even a DM. There is not one person people can turn to to get an answer that is definitive, its a lot of "I think this is the right answer".
 
With having 2 trusted Co-leaders, it becomes much clearer who people can ask for answers that need a solid and definitive answer. DLs and DMs alike would be able to turn to one person to get an answer, not an entire committee. Co Leaders would be of equal power, almost acting independently. If CoLeader gives an answer to a question, than the community can trust that is what will be followed. I know people will think that gives them too much power, but remember a few things. It worked very well in the past, the second Coleader can be brought into the discussion and have a joint decision, and this is not for the MOST important topics, but those that can/need to be solved in a timely manner. Silence of course will retain complete veto and his word is final in 99% of the cases.
 
 
So why?
 
1) People need someone they can turn to that they can trust, that will answer quickly, and that they know are giving an answer that will not inflict punishment against the person asking.
 
2) The current setup leads to a lot of issues going unresolved, or at least going unresolved for a unacceptable amount of time.
 
3) Having 4 CLs leads to way too much confusion. People are getting unbanned who shouldnt, bans changed when they shouldn't be.
 
4) There is absolutely no discussion between community leaders. When first founded by Forest, community leaders were meant to work together. As a group we came up with rules to help govern how decisions would be made. Every CL would be included, a 3/5ths vote required for the most important issues, and promo demo would be approved by all CLs before being published. This is where the issue lies. Hopefully y'all now understand why it takes so long for answers to come from Community Leaders, why there are conflicting responses, and why things never get wrapped up. I'm not here to berate anyone, as I have been negligent in answers occasionally, but when you have a person in leadership who gets ignored by the others you can't expect a system to work efficiently; thus I propose a change to a smaller group where the Co-Leaders have more power to help solve issues.

Damn y'all don't read guidelines. I'm pretty sure when you perm someone for hacking u make a demo first. That way ban appeals aren't as complicated. Soo, who took a demo? No one? Or did someone do it?

Did the moderator actually see body blocking? If not then he is in the wrong. Taking someone's word is a big no no. No matter how trusted they are.

But wasn't there a huge as argument about whether or not Anime characters, that are borderline naked? Cuz I think Hiding said that there wasn't a problem with it, but meanwhile I think alot of people thought it was inappropriate. Will there be a specific guideline to follow? Hello all, I'm back and already making old friends with old enemies!
As some of you know i served out a month ban for the thread that was maybe the most autistic post ever created in the history of xenogamers,If you were there you know the thread.
 
Anyways I'd like to report the offender: Hidingmaster for multiple accounts of abuse and bias actions towards me.
 
First: I'd like to start with my other abuse threads towards hiding master, I've made about 2 abuse threads on him that went fairly well but resulted in no action.

Moving on from those and onto the reason i am creating this thread.
 
I logged in after my month long ban and decided i am going to make some trolly/funny post's to enjoy my self and get a good laugh as i havent had one for a while since being banned from a month on here.

Thread #1: It was my first post back and nearly all old members and some new, know who i am and know that i am a jokingly/funny type of guy, So why not reference a movie? I thought it was pretty funny so i posted it.
 
Thread #2 Nearly all of the members are currently asleep, So i thought i'll make a thread i can wake up to and get a good laugh at all the people who troll me, rage at me cause 90% of this clan is now team fortress 2, So eh, it was pretty funny.
 
Now when i posted these threads i did not have an intention of being a "mean troll" someone who intentionally triess to make people mad and genuinely upset. I was just looking for a good laugh, but if hidingmaster doesn't see eye to eye with you, or cares to take discretion and allowing what he wants into the forums only you get f*cked like me.
I said in a later chat box argument with him, That he is being god, He is controlling what he wants into the forums, and trying to make it a perfect and ideal place for his viewing pleasures. Which this community was not made for that, it was made to be a laid back and "say what you want" type of clan at least that is how it was back in 2012/2013

Just does not make me feel right with this clan, It makes me feel like oh hey is what i'm going to post make it through god today? maybe someone else will find it funny, but he'll find it offensive. That's not what i want, and i'm sure if others where in this situation they'd feel the same way as me.
 
This post is mainly targeted towards @Nomulous @Rhododendron (if you still give a damn) @Shawarma @Gawd @Chrono (may not be a community leader but one of the most sound opinions on the forums) and @Hidingmaster (keep in mind i would not like you to respond until you after all other community leaders/leaders respond)
 
ultimately i do not want hidingmaster to be able to moderate/control the forums, as far as his decision making in game goes that's up to you guys cause i have no clue.

Like: You simply like what someone said or did in a post.
 
Dislike: You simply did not like something in a post and might not disagree with it.
 
Fuck you: (Possibly to be removed) For when someone is particularly being an asshat and deserves and old "Fuck you"Please don't mistake this for disagree, because that would be rude and improper.
 
Agree: You respectfully agree with the post or the words said in the post. Slightly different from liking a post, because you don't necessarily have to like what is said.
 
Disagree: You respectfully disagree with what is said in a post or what the post is about, even if you like the post you might disagree with it.
 
Funny: Something could have made you smile, or you might find it humorous.
 
Not Funny: Something someone said is distasteful or just a bad attempt at a joke. If it is extremely distasteful, see 'Fuck You'.
 
Lazy: Something said in the post is not very well thought through, or just lacks effort in what is said. Maybe in other cases someone just does something very lazy.
 
Sad: Did something make you depressed or hurt your heart? Maybe you look back on the post and it just makes you realize that the whole thread has gone to shit and it makes you sad.
 
Nerd: A light-hearted stab at a friend about maybe their sonic obsession, or they literally did something straight up nerdy.
 
Winner: Generally viewed as when someone makes a post so relevant or fitting to the thread that you think it is the winner of the thread.
 
Informative: When someone makes a post in the thread that is helpful information-wise to the thread, like a post giving people the correct usage of ratings in threads might be informative.
 
Friendly: Simply for when someone is making an attempt to be a friend and be nice to someone.
 
Useful: Very much like informative, but it might not give information, but more of it being a picture or a photoshop that helps you.
 
Optimistic: For when someone looks on the happy side of a thread and makes an observation or comment on how it could be better. A lot of these should be seen in a sad thread.
 
Ding!: Someone gets it in the thread.
 
Creative: Someone makes a picture, painting, comment, pun or maybe a joke that is just surprisingly creative in your eyes.
 
African: (Joke Rating) For when you have no other opinion.
 
British: When something is overwhelmingly of britain, I.E: A whole post about tea.
 
Furry: In a post mainly about animals, or in the worst case, actual... "Furry Things", it might be useful to rate with this.
 
Blaze It: Dedicated to Moosty in the great Weed Wars of 420 AD. For when the post is about weed.
 
Drunk: Dedicated to Bach. For when someone is actually drunk or is pretty incomprehensible.
 
Bad Spelling: For when someone's spelling is bad, enough said.
 
Boring: One of a more rare ratings. Maybe someone posted the entire dictionary, then this would be a relevant rating.
 
Smelly(Formerly Shitpost): For use of when someone's post is just bad and they should feel bad, or they do something that could be described as smelly... like unspeakable things. As @Bach says; rate any of @Chrono's posts.
 
And above all else, don't get butthurt if people are rating you a certain way, this thread is just here as an example of what should be the ratings system.
