-1 for unban. You're known for jumping at the chance to cause issues and toxicity when ever possible
  3. +1 friendly, doesn't cause issues, follows rules. A:7 M:9

-1 loopholes, racism, toxicity and general imaturity constantly A:8 M:4
  5. Congrats @bagggel!
  6. ill test this on a private server tonight but sm_aia_disabledweapons "131,406,1099,1144" should resolve the entire issue. All that this does is make the items not affected by AIA
  7. I think we've all seen how quickly a thread can derail from an inflammatory joke. I'm just trying to prevent it from happening. That's true, but not always practical to do with time constraints. That being said, its still and exploit, so why not just fix the exploit and just leave the other AIA features in then?
  8. The definition of an exploit is a tool or action designed to take advantage of a feature of a system that is not defined by its intended use. I don't see how this is not an exploit, if you could enlighten me I would appreciate it because I may just be missing something. And you seem to be missing my point still that people are bound to that platform for enough time to get upset. Now, even if this is being too sensitive to it, we are a community server. I want to draw attention to that because with how I see it, to thrive as a clan and as a family of servers, it is then in our best interests to do what best appeases the community. Keeping the demo charge is at best a neutral trait for the server unless people are saying "Hey, we should go to those xG servers for the first 30 seconds of the map to demo charge into a corner", and in most other ways just a negative trait if people aren't happy about it. We rely on the community for funding, population, and general environment. TLDR/Seg is stupid and doesn't make sense: We don't loose anything in the grand scheme of things by disabling demo charge AIA but if we don't, we possibly run the risk of loosing server population from the players that are as you said - crying - about it
  9. Its pretty hard to locate who exactly is doing it (due to teams, time spent loading in and unable to look around, multiple demo's exploiting this, etc.) most of the time so its hard to warn people as far as i'm aware. Unless I'm mistaken, voice chat and game sound are in a mono channel with each other so its hard to verbally warn players (as pointed out earlier in the original post) due to the sound going over the same channel at a similar volume. A text warning is possible but as stated at the top of this reply, its hard to locate the players doing it so its inherently hard to pinpoint and address and if it is addressed/punished it could open up a conflict where players could argue "why didn't the X team's demo get in trouble for it???" which is a fair argument and IMO just puts the staff in a poopty position. also I don't see the point of taking personal shots at people. I made this as a serious thread so please keep relevant to the servers, not the people voicing their thoughts on the matter
  10. because other players arrive into the server at different times, which AFAIK is the reason for the allotted time pre-round so you're just sitting there not being able to move forward while other players are. Idk maybe apparently this only affects my game then, and I just wasn't aware. but even if that is local to only my game the sound can be heard from menu screens while selecting class and spawning in regardless.
  11. And just to restate: I am talking only about surf. No other maps or game modes have an issue with this that I am aware of
  12. I didn't realize that, i thought it had to do with location on the map due to where people always go to do so ty for clarifying. the time doesn't really matter that much. its like an alarm clock in the morning. the bigger point is that its obnoxious and draws your attention not that it lasts forever. Yes, but when you spawn in you're wasd frozen for a few seconds right next to it which is more than enough to drive a lot of players insane (in my experience) its done to exploit the sound and shake the screen. I'm not saying they're exploiting the game or server, they're exploiting the plugin. I'm fairly sure the plugin wasn't written to specifically encourage demo charging into a wall and therefore is an exploit. If that is incorrect, please let me know i don't mean to remove fun poop, its just getting on peoples nerves from what i've observed so in my eyes its more just an issue of enabling trolling. Once again, its just as viable to disable AIA on certain weapons which doesn't seem like a bad compromise in my opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
  13. As many people on surf may have figured out, at the beginning of every map a plugin called advanced infinite ammo (AIA) is enabled on our surf server. This is normally a fun command however there is an exploit that allows Demo Man to infinitely charge into a supply cabinet/wall and make an exceptionally loud crashing sound/scream over and over again for the thirty seconds. While at first many people laughed and thought this was fun, quickly many people are becoming increasingly frustrated and annoyed by it due to noise and ear rape for lack of better terms. When staff or players ask others to stop this I've noticed people can hardly hear voice over the sound which only makes things worse. I would like to assert that we disable the plugin (sm_aia_waitingforplayers "0") or disable demo weapons that allow for charge (sm_aia_disabledweapons "....") top avoid this exploit
  14. I think itd be fine if you stopped chewing ice into your mic.. jesus. +1 you seem to know what's up
  15. nice kid but can be pretty spammy on the mic and tends to talk over people (albeit i don't think its intentional). otherwise doesnt break rule or cause issue. +1 A:8 M:7
  16. +1 A:9 M:8 sometimes you can be a bit immature but most of the time you're a great dude ?
  17. +1 while his activvity may not be the most top, def feels like hes qualified.the activity issue may be just difference in hours online between us so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ best of luck my dude

    Tatost

you know...honestly me and tat have had our fair share of poop with each other but hes in the last couple months, the ways hes started treating people and talking to others has shown a great deal of increase in maturity. i think he'd be a good addition back to the community/ +1 A:8 M:7
  19. Thanks for everything you've helped with nebby! Your'e awesome!
  20. I think precious hit the nail on the head. I think you could be great staff again however it also feels like you handle things very personally if its about the rules etc. I think if you were to become staff it wouldn't be a bad thing but I also think that further showing some maturity and respect to others when they are in disagreement with you would be a good trait to work on. Neutral

Wait, so your your agreeing that he's very Imature and fairly inactive, but +1 cause he gives you info? That seems very biased...what info is he giving thats so valuable?

    ReverseMJP

A:7 very speratic, M:5 constantly talks over others including staff to have his way on issues and causes issues. Can be mature and respectful some times but always has to have the last word on an issue even if it doesn't involve him Also may have stolen joshlink100's voice
  24. +1 A:8 M:9 no probs that I've seen
