The problem is staff don't know where to end, I myself when I got the opportunity for the first couple times kept spamming nukes. But really it needs to be denied as an lr more often and maybe have it once every like 30 or so rounds. Also staff sometimes goes far (me included) maybe there should be restrictions or like a time where it has to stop like 1 minute left in the round you have to stop.

The youtuber part is not my point though, it was just an example.
The point is I myself see a lot of people go "wtf is goin on" and leave/crash on the server during an Admin Abuse Day. In the server usually half of the server likes the day, and half doesnt. I just wanted to see who likes it and why, and who doesnt.
And ofc I'm not taking anything offensively just like I said I'm open for criticism

Honestly, that just the result of a spontaneous poll (with a 30-second response window, no less) of the players that were on the server at that given time. It's not indicative of the opinions of the majority of xG Jailbreak players. Besides, the "yes" response is foremost and funny while the "no" response is bland, so it's likely that some of those "yes" voters aren't giving serious thought to this. So I don't see how this is valid evidence.

Even though I've never participated, if Admin Abuse Day is as popular as I've heard then a lot of players enjoy it. Personally, I don't much care if any celebrity doesn't like what we do -- if Hillary Clinton says we're too strict on our policy against rulebreakers, does that mean we change our rules and our views to suit her opinion? No. So if the majority of our players enjoy Admin Abuse Day, then we should stick with it. Maybe we can pull way back on its frequency, but I don't think we should eliminate it entirely.

Seems like Muselk enjoyed it, actually. Some people in the comments thought it was funny, too, although most didn't even acknowledge it as an issue -- they were too wrapped up in their furry flame wars and stuff.

Out of all the recording he took on our server the admin abuse day was the only thing that made it into the video implying it was the funnest thing that happened while he was on the server....

I have seen none of these alleged complaints on the forums... don't pull shit out of your ass @Egossi unless you have proof to back it up...

I have never seen anyone legit complain about abuse days... I've only had them ask for more and more.

Hurts me to my soul to see that Brawl is the highest ranked so far. That's disgusting. Slipping completely RUINED that game and put it at the bottom of the list.

    1.) Super Smash Bros Melee
    2.) Project M
    3.) Super Smash Bros 4
    4.) Super Smash Bros (N64)
    5.) Super Smash Bros Brawl

Mechanically, you cannot get better than the system used for Melee. It was amazing and very well balanced, and didn't cater to the casuals. There were TONS of advanced techniques that gave huge advantages to those who knew how to use them, such as L-Canceling and Wavesliding, but weren't completely necessary to be decent at the game. It definitely does not have the character spread as the newer games does, but it didn't have any mechanical issues whatsoever. The serious Smash players in the Smash community are in unanimous agreement that Melee is the Magnum Opus of the series.

Brawl is at the bottom purely for two reasons: Meta Knight and Slipping. Either of these reasons would have been enough to put this game on the bottom rung, but the fact that both of these issues were present in one title, I can't fathom how this is ANYONE'S favorite in the series. But then again, I realize not everyone was on a competitive level, and for casual play, I could see the draw. But as someone who ran the competitive scene in my state for ~2 years, I can't justify the poor quality of that game.

Project M....oh, where to begin with that game. It took Brawl and mechanically balanced it so it felt and played similarly to Melee. It fixed character balance issues and created completely new gameplay mechanics for quite a few of them. For certain characters, I actually prefer this game to Melee, MG&W being a big one, as well as Ganondorf. The support and community interaction with the devs on this game give it a HUGE plus to how good it is. They actually talk with the people who play it and take their feedback into consideration when making important changes, which is a lot more than I can say for Nintendo, which was proven by their recent rebalances for many characters, which unnecessarily buffed a lot of them and ignored a lot of overpowered ones.

The N64 game also isn't bad, it's just different, and has a completely different meta altogether. Combos and juggles are much more difficult to perform and much more satisfying when done correctly.

EDIT: Forgot my mains. Here they are.

Melee: Peach, Peach, Peach. You can't stop the turnip storm. You can't stop the spinning down-smash.
Project M: Peach, Olimar, C-Falc, Diddy Kong, Mario, Marth, Ness, Ganondorf....There's actually very few players I use and use efficiently. I can match with almost anyone. I play this game the MOST, so I have a lot of time to practice.
Smash 4: Bowser and Peach. Bowser is so goddamn good it isn't funny.
    SSB64: Pikachu and Ness.
Brawl: Ike, Wolf, Diddy Kong, and Meta Knight, because they are the most overpowered and if you DON'T use them, you're a goddamn chump.

    Server: Jailbreak
    Suggestion:
Give wardens priveleges to turn on/off colisions by a simple chat command.
A lot of games that require collisions (i.e. bumble beam) dont work simply because collisions are off and can't be turned on by any measures.
This would also solve a few more problems such as; camping in one spot with more than 3 reds, confusion to wardens caused by people stacking in one box trot taunt, stacking disabled by default

To step in and have a final word, since I missed this entire ordeal, I think the idea of someone paying to become part of the moderation staff is a terrible idea. Sure, it's good monetarily for our servers, but detrimental to our image when people buy their position and can't handle the responsibility.

I'd personally be content with doing away with it as a whole. You shouldn't be able to buy responsibilities like this when you can't handle them. That's why we make judgment calls on who gets those privileges.

So most of you know who I am I guess, And you know that I left the Xeno Gamers group months ago. So why am I posting stuff on the forums? Well Id just like to take the time to appreciate the hard work Fronzie puts into being a super great mod. He joins the server and start insulting me because I just so happened to act like a retard the night before, He camps for LCT which I have no proof of because I don't take screen shots of stuff for a living. He sits on Blu side and waits for everyone else to take warden before he does, if he even takes it. Not only that but he messes around with admin controls. I can personally recall when he was flinging me around the map during a war day; I believe, But when there is a problem it seems he just likes to sit on his ass and watch the fight go on. If someone reports something he just sits backs and watches or pretty much says "Don't do that" over the server chat.
I have no proof of any of this and I don't expect this to become a big post. Fronzie I really do respect you as a person and a fellow xG member, But MOD is a job worth taking seriously. Just because you bought it doesn't mean you can just stick your thumb up your ass and not do anything. You see Jpie? Or Demonic? all those Mods and Admins. They worked so hard to get where they were, they do the job when they are needed. I really wish I could give you more respect for what you do. and I really hope you step up your game because I'd personally like to try playin a real game with you. I have no proof, I have no evidence of any of this which will probably bite me in the ass later, but I hope you realize that you have affected the little time I spend on the server and maybe a few others too.
Whoever reads this and disagrees or agrees with me please don't send hatred towards Fronzie or I. I don't wish for any demotions of any sort. I just wish for a few actions to change.
Thanks for the time, - Niko

uh? what? my ban protest was serious. if you're talking about my old mod submission then yeah sure. however i was responding to all of those posts who -1 very fairly and maturely. i even say in my OP that i want it to be serious. Bach's probably doesn't fully understand why he was demoted which is why he posted "i was only demoted for the teamspeak thing" So first of all why don't you explain his demotion in clear detail so he can fall back on something. Get off your high horse and stop thinking everyone is so immature when you're in a clan filled with 16 year olds. Can they be immature? yeah. Can we be immature? you bet your ass. A lot of people really feel that either A. bach does deserve moderator or B. doesn't deserve it. I'm going through the thread and most of these posts are fairly valid with a few here that are unnecessary.

I'd honestly +1 this if I was a member. Honestly, like Nu_13 said, Vector still shows that he cares about the TF2 division. Regardless of his put downs, he still tries to get the division to see the light on most things. Especially when it's really big issues that occur. Biggest example would be the whole "suicide threats" debacle.

Alright so in this thread, let's discuss similarities between our varying games. I'll try to post up one topic like this every month and leave it up for some positive input.

So to start it off, this is about similarities, specifically similar champions/heroes/gods and abilities/playstyles.

    for example:
Caitlyn's ultimate is basically shared with Sniper from DotA, except a little nerfed in the range department. and she plays fairly similar to him as well.

Nova and Evelynn's passive is shared with Riki (phantom assassin)'s ultimate which gives him permanent stealth until broken by attacking/revealing abilities except she appears when she gets too close to enemy champions unlike him who can just run circles around you as long as you have no stealth detection, but they both play similar roles in that they try to skirt around and find that pick off or gank kill to push an advantage in the metagame of turrets for wherever they land the kill.

If you're interested in trying out one of the other games, but aren't sure on what you should play, post who/what you currently like playing in your game (dota league hots smite) and others might be able to find you somebody similar to try out.

Frantic is cool but a hell to moderate so +1 on removal it's time.

Some people really like the minecraft maps, same as some really like Clocktown and others don't. No reason to remove any of them unless there is alot more unanimous of a desire to have them removed.

This is another thought being kicked around as well, just so I can give an officiated statement on the matter. We are looking into recently banned individuals who were given the axe for this reason to see if there was any other negative behavior that added into the ban, and considering all aspects.

For those who were banned solely because of telling someone else to "Go Kill Themselves", we will most likely be reducing the sentence.

That was addressed as another concern, and I can assure you that if our Mods and Admins make sure to follow correct procedure, we will NOT have another blunder like that again. But you are right, that last thread was a huge mess. We are aiming to avoid things like that in the future.

Also, you are 100% correct. Death Threats are a HUGE issue. However, telling someone that they should kill themselves isn't a death threat. It's disrespect. That doesn't mean it isn't severe, but it isn't as severe as threatening to track someone down and murder them, which is what is textbook definition of an actual Death Threat.

Remove Frantic it's cancerous and annoying, very confusing too on some parts. I dunno why people hate Delfino and the Minecraft maps, sure Delfino doesn't have any spawn protection, but it does resupply you if you change weapons. And theres a fight for the resupply cabinet about 20% of the time, but that usually ends pretty quickly. From what I have seen and know people call Delfino for "snipers wet dream". But theres mostly just conga/kaztosky kick dance clusterfucks. Realms is big, different areas and places, few hidden rooms. But it gets old after a while when people don't rtv. Fishpond is also kinda like Delfino, a lot of conga and friendly parties. So I suppose there is one way to solve the problem. To make it so that it doesn't require a second rtv for map changes?
  25. F!$k Off
Osiris got a reaction from Kypari in Requesting The Removal Of Frantic Factory And Delfino Plaza And Others.
When I said "try-harding", I meant playing with intent to be competitive (like you would on 2Fort, for instance). Frantic is not a competitive map by any stretch. I agree that fighting occurs on every map, I wasn't denying that. It's a first-person shooter, after all. You don't have to be "friendly", but you can have just as much fun doing just that. I've seen people playing on both teams have fun fighting the featured bosses together, or just chilling and building Engi stuff in DK's house, to give a couple examples. Frantic can't be completely awful -- some people actually enjoy it, so there must be some good qualities in there! :)

I never said my will was absolute. Flareon asked the xG community if certain maps should be removed, and I gave my personal views on the matter. I didn't impose my will upon others, I simply stated my opinion. I didn't think it necessary to enumerate the reasons that I dislike Minecraft maps, but if you still insist on an explanation, I'll give it. I'm not so self-centered as to think that they'll be removed just because I dislike them! Oh, and while you are correct in saying that broken maps are usually slated for removal, public perception of a map should also be taken into account. That's what this thread is about, after all. ;)

It's funny, your statements seem to contradict one another. On the one hand you say that Frantic should be removed because it's "not a fun map", implying your opinion is absolute; on the other hand you say that the Minecraft maps shouldn't be removed because of others' opinions, and declare my opinion invalid. Kind of ironic, (dare I say, hypocritical?) don't you think?

I suggest you think before you speak next time.
