Past issues had nothing to do with them getting punished. They were both punished for the different parts they played in this particular situation as it unfolded. The only point history was taken into consideration was when determining the length of time for syluxs ban, which has already been layed out and talked about.

So two people do different things, but create one situation, that situation being arguing constantly with each other. They're both punished the same up until Zack is met with a 24 hour gag and Sylux is met with a month ban. Just because the two did different things, it still lead to the same situation and still leaves a really bad inconsistency in terms of how the punishment was carried out for the both of them. From what I could gather from the other thread Zack had started the argument through BM, and Sylux agitated the situation more with binds. None of the staff told him to stop with the binds and so I can't fault him for that, but he did make the situation worse. You gagged Zack because he left before the kick, and you ban sylux for a month because of his track record. I still personally do not believe that is fair.

Zack was given a standard 30 minute gag and sylux kicked each for their part in the problem at that point in time, with warnings occurring a few times afterwards before things could escalate. When everything started to go off this time, I spent time tabbed out and going through chat logs to try and see what had happened, during which both were gagged due to Zack thinking Sylux was getting away with the issue yet again. By the time I came back shortly afterwards, Zack, who should have been meet with a kick, had left due to getting upset with it all, which is why his gag was extended. Not to match in punishment with sylux who was responsible for different issues, but to give him some sense of a proper punishment for what he was up to receive at that point.

I still fail to understand why you decided to punish them both differently, "past issues" or not. They were both guilty of what they did and they both should've been punished the same.

Anyway, yeah lets just lower it to a week and be done.

Then lets get both threads closed and the ban reduced today (if not week, then he should be unmanned today as opposed to waiting till tomorrow.

But I can't stress enough that, again, he was kicked at the same time I gagged zack, having been the second time I warned them for the same issue. That is why Sylux was on a ban in this instance, and zack a kick.

Okay so let me get this straight, because I am quite confused about how this was carried out.

So far I know:

Zack: Warn > Gag 24 hours

Sylux: Warn > Kick > Ban 1 month

Was Zack kicked at all?

Edit: Also noticed Sylux was gagged literally 5 minutes before being banned, was he continuing to argue on his microphone or something? Please explain.

Even though Jailbreak is dead, it is sometimes necessary to mute/unmute yourself when you are muted to dish out warnings.

Going to be bumping this thread, re-pinning it, and changing the title to cover gags/mutes. There's so many spam mutes and gags on sourcebans right now, please stop muting and/or gagging yourself.

I'd personally be down to unban him, there was no kick given before the ban and generally I'd like to follow the protocol mentioned in the admin handbook. As for Zack a warning should be put in place, a 24 hour gag doesn't really cut it considering the other party got a whole month of a ban.

It should stay at a week. His last ban was a day and he clearly broke the rules. Plus it makes for a lot simpler in the long run because if staff see that he was unbanned (as well as new staff) then they might think this ban his invalid so they ban them for a week again.

So far, it's been agreed that the ban should be dropped down to a week/removed completely. As for Zack the Shark, a thread has been made for him by @Krampus in the ban request section: Pending - Zack the Shark - Team Fortress 2 | Xeno Gamers. I'll leave the thread open for a bit longer for any last opinions on the matter. Currently I'm +1 for removing the ban completely at this point, it's been a few days already.

Going to go ahead and unban since its been a few days and it seems nobody is completely against it.

So today Sesh (https://xenogamers.com/members/107881/) requested to be unbanned. While I personally see no problem with this since the ban was voluntary, @virr has suggested I make a thread here to get other opinions. @Bello @Rhododendron @mrnutty12 @Elcark @Aegean

For anyone who doesn't know or remember Sesh, was a DM earlier in the year, then stepped down a few months ago. He was banned from the forums for a week originally for being incredibly rude towards others in the shoutbox, and then requested his week ban be changed to a permanent one since he "never wanted to come back". It seems he's had a change of mind though, and would like to attempt to come back into the clan. To me he hasn't really changed at all, I still talk to him every day and he's still the same Sesh I've always known. I don't think he'd come back and go right back into being rude, I'm sure he'd keep some decency about him.

Unfortunately, I only remember being told about that whole "alternate account racism" thing but don't exactly remember what happened or if it was even really his alt. The last ban you got for disrespect or "trolling" was last year, and that was only a day. Don't exactly understand the jump to a month ban, even if he had older bans for longer. As for Zack, I do know he's quite the toxic guy when he is on the server. I am honestly surprised in you guys only giving him a gag instead of a ban as well. From what I read there was a warning and it stopped there, so I don't exactly know why you guys did jump to a ban as quickly as you did without even kicking him beforehand. I do feel as though there is some unfairness in how the situation was handled, even if Sylux has a "history", Zack should be punished exactly the same.

+1 to drop the ban to at least a week, if not completely.

+1 to punish Zack with the same length, they're both in the wrong and should be treated with the same punishment for fairness.

Reasons why Edventures was removed: Loud, annoying, terrible layout, an incredibly glitchy balloon.

There's literally no reason to add it back, it's terrible and incites the worst out of people. I knew I would hate the map the moment there were at least 5 people on mic screaming "Kevin!".

Usually when making a report it's best to get evidence before reporting. Even though you may think your mute is unjust we cannot do anything unless evidence of abuse is provided. In the future I would really recommend simply just muting a player who is annoying you, arguing will most likely end up having you muted by one of the staff members.

Due to the lack of evidence against the staff member, I'm going to close this. If anyone feels like there's more to be said, feel free to re-open.

Good god I almost thought the chat history was a joke, but this is serious. I'm unsure how this user even got membership in the first place acting like that, but that behavior will not be tolerated. +1 Get him out of here, honestly wish I could push for a ban but since that chat history is from steam, there is nothing that can be done.

I do not plan on ever re-adding objectives to TGH, it is a trade server and will stay a trade server. Playing an objective does not belong in trade servers, it will only annoy anyone actually trading.

I guess we could remove them from guns for a bit, just to see how it goes. If people complain that there's no random crits, then we can simply add them back.

@Vexx When I attempt to upgrade the weapons like the rocket launcher and the air strike it doesn't actually do anything. This also applys to the buff banners for the soldier. The bug with the rocket launcher is the most recent problem.

Unsure why the rocket launcher and air strike would stop working, I've already looked into the buff banner problems and I could find no way to really fix, I'll look into the rocket launcher though.
